SIZE Medium (15″ – 19″) – The Perfect Martingale Collar for Dogs in Training or Everyday Life. We have different sizes and colors for all dogs. This is one of two collars I use in my training practice for my clients. We are proud to say that many professional trainers/handlers, groups, and owners use our training equipment for their dogs and puppies.
Our Biothane Martingale Collar is Safer and Sturdier than other collars in the industry as we use the hole punch design to prevent the buckle from breaking, snapping or coming loose while using. Please do not leave your dog unsupervised in a crate or as a tie out on a stake (True with any collar). The metal hardware on the collar is made of Stainless Steel to provide much better rust, discoloring and chipping protection that happens more often with cheaper chrome plated hardware.
The Limited Cinch or No Pull Design with a properly sized collar is used to quickly communicate to your dog what you want out of him or her. Remember, proper communication with our dog is a combination of words, touch, treats, toys and positive emotion (see our videos). High quality biothane, doesnt feel cheap at all. Sizing is perfect and it feels and looks nice. Good quality stainless steel chain. Pair it with a herm sprenger for effortless corrections on the leash.

Quality stainless steel and brass fasteners are very hard to find, and even harder when you want a specific type of collar/leash. With exception of a beautiful leather leash crafted by his breeder, we exclusively use this line. I always avoided other brands with buckle fasteners in the past because our mastiffs were able to slip them without trying-not these! We have multiple colors in the XL and add a new matching set periodically so we can always have one on hand. The biothane keeps the buckle intact even on a broad dog and is easy on his neck and our hands. I love that they simply wipe clean, especially during allergy season, and will last years with minor care for very reasonable prices. I also love giving our support to an American entrepeneur. Thank you Mr. Hodges-you are keeping our dog safe in comfort and great colors.

Love this collar! Great for changing size depending on the dog or the training need! Easy to clean and seems like will hold up! Only downside is with light colored dogs it can turn their fur a different color with the chain if leave it on. But absolutely love it!

Quality materials!
I’ve had this collar for quite a while now and I can say that it is well made and worth the money. The buckle is solid and the material is holding up well. I like this style as is is loose and comfortable for my dog, yet provides control when needed. Just be sure to clean it with soap and water because when the chain gets dirty, it will transfer to your dog’s white hair.

Most trustworthy collar I own
I am so happy I replaced my dog’s nylon martingale with this one. I don’t have to worry about splitting seams, and I can rest easy knowing this won’t fray or stay wet from the snow. I can attach a long line to this collar with zero fear that it might come apart, and it’s stood up to quite the force during zoomies outside. I will be slowly replacing all my dog gear with Jim Hodges from now on!

Fits great
This is a great collar. Most collars my dog scratches and scratches but this one he is not. The one he has on is a large. The only thing I wish it had was a little loop for the excess collar to hold it back. But we love it and he seems fine with it on. It is very good quality and if he outgrows this one at some point we will buy another one.

Ordered this collar to control our new puppy who is not a good walker for me. Our trainer had recommended this style. I ordered two different sizes because our puppy ( 4 month old golden doodle at time of purchase, 5 months now) was at the upper end of the range. You really need to make sure you measure. The collar itself was of good quality and easy to take on and off. Itâs very good quality, strong material and despite crazy puppy pulling itâs held up just fine. Ordered an extra one for our trainer who was running low. Purchased the green and blue. Itâs a good value because even basic collars are $13-15 in the big box pet stores. It will last a long time and doesnât slip on the fur which I really liked.
