Lids make these much better than typical folding bowls– lets you store leftover food!
Have used these on 3 different multi-day trips so far, worked very well for us and held up. Especially liked I could prefill with a portion of kibbles, so I didn’t have to unpack dog food bags in transit. Then, if my pup didn’t finish her entire meal, I could store extra without it spilling and give to her later. Lid seals very well (even liquids!), stays firmly open while pup is using it, and is easy to snap all 4 sides of lid shut. Can also fold down and still put lid on if there is only a small amount of food left, so it’s more compact. The gasket does come out occasionally, but that is actually helpful when you want to do a thorough washing, just need to keep track of it. I gave away my old folding bowls without lids after I used these! Only caveat is if your dog is small, they are a little deeper than typical non-portable bowls, so my pup was a little sloppy drinking H2O out of them, and would probably be too small for a very large dog

Exactly what we needed
I wanted two petite bowls to include in a small emergency kit for the cat (a feline “bug-out” kit, so to speak). These are appropriately sized for a cat (or a very small dog). It was perfect that they came as a pair, so I have one for water and one for food. They collapse nicely, so they will take up very little space. They have snap-lock lids, which are color-coded with the bowls. I can’t attest they are leak-proof, because this is not a feature that I need. I am pleased with this purchase (but I hope I never need to use them…!)

Little stuff but good
I bought these for traveling with our pet for dry food. It works well for that. I can just pop the lid on when we leave one hotel and take it off when we stop. I use the other for water while in the room only. The kids doesn’t hold liquids. The silicone is a bit stiffer than some others but since I’m only using it for travel is not a big deal to me.

Portable, expanding bowls with lids. Through 4 airline flights this bowl was perfect. Never leaked. Did not have a strong odor upon arrival. Absolutely perfect in my opinion. Make sure to close the air vent on lid and this will seal very well.
