This is working well for us
I had to buy this leash because my puppy was chewing through all of her other leashes. She still acts crazy and bites on this one when I am walking her, but she cannot damage it. After about a minute or two of biting it, she usually gives up. It has held up for us. The handle is great. No hand pain. I am careful not to wrap it around my hand in case she pulls hard. Thatâs the only drawback with this type of leash. But otherwise it is awesome.

My dog is a chewer
My dog chewed through four of the retractable leashes I had left over from my previous pet. This one, non retractable, has survived although I’m careful to keep the fabric part that goes around my hand away from her. She only weighs around 20 lbs but if I let her run a retractable leash out by the time she reaches the end of it she’s reached her full speed. Which is almost enough to either jerk the retractable leash out of my hand or me off my feet if I’m not braced. So I got this. It has lasted a lot longer than the previous leashes. I was a slow learner, but my dog taught me not to take my leashes for granted.

Excellent for little puppy razor-blade teeth.
I have a pup that is in teething stage, and will go through a nylon leash in 5.9 seconds. this one is small and light enough for the pup, and is impossible for them to chew through. Exactly what was needed.

Puppies Chew!
We have a St Bernard puppy. In our living room we keep her on a lease with us. Her first lease was nylonâ¦she chewed through it 3 times in a week! We researched & found this cable lead. Her strong jaws are not able to chew through it. Itâs very flexible & works well for us. Only caution, there is a black rubber cover over the clasp. That was quickly chewed off!

Great leash, but not a great training leash
I adopted a my first dog this summer (a puppy) and he loved to nibble on his leash when we went on walks. He was able to tear the nylon so I went looking for something a little bit tougher and bought this leash.The leash succeed on all fronts. He could not chew through it and frankly didn’t seem excited about trying after a few tries. The loop also felt great to use.However, this leash quickly cycled out of the rotation for me because it’s far too difficult to use in any way other than completely loose. A six-foot lead is great with a well-trained dog, but there’s a lot of benefits to being able to change the leash length by folding it up into your hand when you walk (directing the dog away from a hazard, trying to teach them to walk closer to you, etc). The cable on this is far too sturdy to comfortably bend except at specific lengths and, even then, it’s very difficult to maintain a grip if the dog starts to pull, both because of the surface area and because the cable hurts when pulled against your hand.I’m still giving it five stars because the leash does everything it’s advertised to do. But I think it’s worth noting that it is probably better suited for when you’re letting the dog have the full length of leash than for more specific training.

Finally a leash my puppy can’t bite though! There are a few teethmarks but I’m so relieved not to have to keep buying new leashes. The handle is very comfortable too. Only downside is that the leash slides through your hand easily if you’re trying to shorten it

Emergency buy as my Labrador pup chewed through her other lead as I was walking her. She started on this lead but as itâs wire there is no chance of her repeating her trick.

My 5 month old labradoodle has chewed through all of his leads so struggled to find something that lasted. This is brilliant. The handle is soft and the lead is a good length. He hasn’t even attempted to chew through it. Great product, high recommend.
