I wish they made this in my size (lol
This thing is rad, and makes bicycle rides with my 13lb pup a load of fun! In my use case, it is even better than my previous front basket setup; and allows me to provide the “suspension” to keep my pup a lot more comfortable. This will be an every adventure type item, it is built well, well cushioned, and seems like it can take some abuse.

Fantastic product
Pug, 32 pounds, 16 yrs oldMy 16yr old pug is larger than most pugs. He loves to get out hiking and walking with our 4yr old pitbull mix. He doesnât have the strength to go beyond a mile anymore though and is tripping and becoming very sore if we donât cut his outings short. As much as he loves getting out outdoors, it isnât safe to let him hike too far or on uneven ground. This dog carrier pack is the key! Now he gets to join us on hikes even if the path is rough or the trail is long. He doesnât have to be left behind and our other dog still gets the challenging hikes and long walks she needs to burn energy.Packaging was excellent. Construction of the pack is sturdy and material is good quality. All the zippers have skin protector flaps under them to ensure no dog skin or hair gets caught in the zipper. Itâs adjustable to fit snuggly around your dog, and offers lots of handles and adjustable safety clips to ensure your dog stays upright and safely positioned. The vented sides also keep them cool on the full length of either side! My old pug is prone to overheating, but settled in very comfortably I practiced with him for around the house. He actually enjoyed it and played back down on the pack shortly after our trial walk.Package lid also has QR code to instruction videos to âassembleâ the pack and how to train your dog to be comfortable laying down on it to get startedâ¦super helpful! My geriatric pug boy picked it up second try, so any dog can! I am so happy he still gets to join our family adventures and Iâm grateful to keep his life active and joyful.I would highly recommend checking sizing. Excess space would not be best for this pack. The base is soft and your dog needs to be synched securely upright in a way that also lets their bum sink into the pack base. I got the smaller size and it worked perfectly for me, but my pug is larger than most. If Iâd purchased the longer bag my 32 pound pug would have slid into the pack and not been able to see or breathe freely, also with his head and front limbs outside the top opening. Check sizes and follow the instruction videos, and youâll enjoy it!Canât wait to hike all together in the Red River Gorge this weekend ðð¼

THE Best!
Lon-haired mini-dachshund (12lbs), fits perfectly in the size small with a bit of room to spare. Well supported by back brace for the dog and the chest strap. Bonus is the leash/collar tether for added security. Old man dog loves being up high and appears to enjoy the view from dadâs shoulder! The slimline build of the carrier makes having him on our back so much more comfortable and stable. NO waist gouging as was experienced with convertible dog-carrier to backpack device we has been using. I did purchase a set of sheepskin sleeve covers for a bit more padding at the shoulder/chest area but other than that, glad we took the plunge on this and paid what might appear to be a premium price point but in our opinion, well worth it!

Excellent, with caveats
Overall excellent construction, quality, ease of use, and specificity of purpose. But if you hike or backpack at all I believe this pack will be immediately uncomfortable and difficult to adjust to. Excellent for the dog, less excellent for the human carrier. Iâm not sure what they couldâve done differently since it needs to be designed with the dog in mind first. I did get the small, and it doesnât have a hip belt (wouldnât be in the right place even if added, which some models cannot so double check if thatâs important to you) or load lifters, which would go A LONG WAY toward alleviating the mid-back strain. Most backpacking loads are less than or equal to a small to medium dogâs weight so just imagine that heavy of a load not distributed evenly or supported adequately. Going to try some âaftermarketâ adjustments to mine to see if we can get it a bit more comfortable for me, but aside from that itâs a great product and I do recommend.*update, tried a new tactic today for a hike: slipping the Chonk into my regular daypack. Pros: more support and better distributed load, doggie control features of the Chonk intact. Would be nice to have all these features in one bag but it wasnât that bad, I had some extra room in the backpack for my personal items. Clipped it into the daypack thru the straps.

My lil chonk loves her lil chonk!
This doggie carrier is awesome. My dog is so comfortable! The backpack is very sturdy and comfortable for us humans too (our dog is about 18 lbs). I do wish it had a belt but the sternum strap helps a lot. Totally happy with this backpack.

Decent Quality but Flawed by Shipping and Assembly Issues â Ended Up Returni
The backpack itself seemed well-made with sturdy materials and a functional design, which initially impressed me. However, the unboxing experience raised red flags: the packaging arrived heavily crushed, making it look like a returned item had been hastily repackaged. While I could overlook the boxâs condition, the real issue became apparent when I tried the bag on.One of the back straps was inexplicably reversed (front-to-back), causing significant discomfort until I realized the mistake. Even after adjusting it, the strapâs orientation felt awkward, suggesting a possible manufacturing or assembly error. This flaw made the bag impractical for regular use, which was disappointing given its otherwise decent construction.Ultimately, I had to return the backpack due to the strap issue. Itâs a shame because the product had potential, but the combination of questionable packaging and a critical design flaw left me skeptical about quality control. If you purchase this, double-check every detail upon arrivalâhopefully, youâll get a defect-free version!

Worth the money
I got this for my Cavalier. Itâs very stylish! The puppy seems really comfy in it for her first time. She was hesitant getting in but thatâs normal. Nice product and the materials are top tier. The peach logo is really cool.

Has to be the Best purchase we made for our doggo! Our corgi loves it! Very very well made with strong buckles. Super easy to use when you figure out what works for you and your dog. It is the perfect size for our long backed doggo and she seems to be super comfortable in it and fits perfectly! It is definitely worth the purchase!

I saw the Little Chonk backpack advertised 2 years ago, and have been pondering on it since. Last week i caved and naught it because my dog and I need to use the pubic transit more often now. Itâs great. She comfortably rests on my back. But if training and easing to get her comfortable with it, but once she was comfortable it was smooth sailing from there. definitely a great product, especially if you live in a big city with transit like myself!
