There isnât a more perfect title for this book. Through the Eyes of a Canine gives us humans the opportunity to see and experience life from a canineâs perspective. If youâre a dog lover like me, you will find this book equal parts informative, relatable, and heartwarming. I absolutely love the authorâs anecdotes and real-life examples of his work out in the field. When a person has this much passion and dedication to their craft, we can only hope they carve out time to write a book and share their wisdom with the world. Thankfully, this author did. If you have a dog, want a dog, or are just interested in dogs, this book is for you. It covers everything from helping you decide which dog is right for you, gives a concise explanation of animal behavior, offers a unique perspective on training, and discusses how to handle common behavior problemsâplus itâs adorned with the most beautiful illustrations. Its a really good book to get your head straight. I was on wits end with a lot of things, including my two less-than-a-year-old puppies, and started seeking counselling. This book happened to come across the feed and it felt like what I needed-Not a dog training book but a book that helped me chill out and guide them better. Every action and emotion that you feel is read and felt by your dog, and when fighting depression, its a scary recipe. When seeking awareness, this book was perfect! I have noticed a positive change that has come with my positive change. Bummer it’s not sold as used but it is still worth every penny. I believe it was printed on demand. I would like to read it again in a year.

David has an amazing book! I am just a few chapters in, but love the way in which this book is written. It is interesting and engaging. The personal stories, spaced text, and illustrations add to the pleasure and ease of reading the book. David has worked with both of my dogs. It is great to learn more about his background and story that have shaped his practice in working with animals. I am looking forward to reading more and learning more in terms of thinking from the perspective of my dogs and how to make our lives together happy and balanced! I agree with the other readers, that I would recommend this book to anyone with a dog or other animal companions. I have always thought of David to be extremely knowledgeable. What he taught me as far as behavior with my dogs just made sense and was very practical. It is great to have what he has taught me in writing to refer to at any time!

However, it is also interesting and useful to anyone who lives with dogs and to all who love dogs.David Kurlanderâs Through The Eyes Of A Dog utilizes utilizes his extensive experience working with all sorts of canines and creates a framework for understanding and working with your dog that is built on understanding, appropriate communication, kindness and respect. It is well written and is a pleasure to read.

This book is well written so common people can understand. David’s life experience is impressive . He has real world advice, based on many years of working with animals in many different settings. I am in awe of his knowledge of not only canines but other species of animals. A must read and once started hard to put down. On my 3 time through.
