The smell is outrageous! I’ve left it out in the sun to perhaps get rid of this toxic odor. There is no way I would place my fur baby is this smell . And of course I wouldn’t have this smell in my car.

Fits perfectly on my SUV console, very secure, does not slide around. Sturdy because of the metal structure so it’s not cushioned around the top edges very much. My 13 pound dog cannot lay in it comfortably so she mostly sits which is okay since she likes looking out the window. I needed something that would secure her while I’m driving since she feels she has to be right on me while I’m driving.First time I ordered the car seat the security bars did not fit the bottom correctly so I returned. Reordered and the second one arrived already put together, instructions inside were crumbled, so not sure if it was previously used.

Not a great fit for Subaru Forester
Seems sturdy and safe, but when installed, it must hang off the back of the console which pulls the elastic bands very tight, so don’t know if it will hold up to the strain on the seams. Used the extra straps to make it secure, so it does keep my pet safe but there’s probably one that will fit a 2020 Subaru Forester better
