A book about dog training that’s fun!!
I was recently introduced to the author of this marvelous book in connection with issues I was having with my 2-year old Border Collie mix. Although apparently written for the “unruly urban dog”, this book is indispensable for any dog owner whose dog makes walking/living in the neighborhood a challenge. If that sounds like yours, get your hands on this book NOW. You will not regret it, and you will have fun reading it. As an example, page 11 of the Introduction compares our thinking to our dog’s thinking in three situations. It is hilariously true! And the book reflects this very talented trainer’s approach to training. After just one hour with her I learned the difference between training and managing–and that has made all the difference for me in dealing with my dog. And it will for you, too.

Excellent guide!
Great book! The writing is excellent and the step by step guide is really helpful to this first-time dog owner. Jacquesâ walks have become much more enjoyable and we are still working on the âdoorbell!!! Aaaaaaa!â thing, but it is improving. This is a clear, concise guide for improving manners and the author has a great command of the subject, as well as a writing style that gets the message across.
