    Works great!
Put one at the bottom and top of my stairs. Keeps my baby out and very easy to use. Some gates claim they’re black when they’re more gray, but these are black black.

don’t buy if you have baseboards
This was the most difficult stupid gate i’ve ever used. it is most definitely not one handed and if you have baseboards forget about it. your cat can get in and out without the cat door because if you want it attached to the wall then it’s crooked and off the ground. if you try and open it with one hand it’s going to slingshot to the other side of the wall. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE BASEBOARDS, we will be returning this and just spending the extra money for a metal gate because this was worthless.

Easy to install, works smoothly, unique features
This baby gate is a lot easier to handle than the wood ones where the arm goes up & down. That requires 2 hands to adjust, whereas this one I can open and close with one hand. Yes, it requires installation, but that is just once and it’s good to go.This gate also has the feature of vertical rods that prevent the bottom from being lifted up by a curious baby or pet. It is holding up well so far. This also has the unique feature of a small opening for a cat. That is useful, as cats will find their way over a gate anyway, so they might as well just have an easy access.

    Sturdy
This is an easy gate to use. The retractable feature is perfect for occasional use without it being in the way.

Disappointed in a few things about it
My 1st call out is this is in no way a one handed operational gate. Where u push down to release & open gate is too far from the cut out part where you grab the gate to open it. Also, when closing, the bottom of the rod that gets put in place has to be put in before clicking the top in & doing so is very awkward. It has what is referred to as a cat door however my 45lb 2+ft dog came running in the house from outside & plowed right through the opening. The gate is mainly for keeping him from doing just that because of the newborn baby in our household. The good news about that incident is the gate held up to him plowing through it. It didn’t damage it at all, not the opening he went through or any part of the gate. I’m thankful for that. Another dissatisfaction is I wanted the grey gate. My 2nd choice was black. I received the white. I didn’t want the white gate expecting it to show dirt from dog paws or dirty hands more easily as the other colors. My order info doesn’t confirm what color I ordered but when I go in to my already placed order & opt to order again, it defaults to the black one. I did not even attempt return/exchange because the newborn baby was coming home & needed to have the gate installed right away with no time for return exchange. I like the size, the height & length. I like the look other than it being white Installation was easy enough. I really like the locking to a certain length feature & locking so little hands can’t release it.

Will not provide protection for children
Easy to install but watching the 18 months old baby unlock it by himself I would not recommend it for protecting children. I actually put a screw through the locking mechanism to make it unlock able.

    Strong and sturdy
This is an easy to install and strong baby gate that are made of materials that is tough and durable. The gate came with the necessary parts and mounts to make installation smooth and simple. The gate has reinforced poles to make it stronger in between the gate and overall so the gate doesn’t sag. The see through mesh material allowed me to see what is going on behind the gate and the material is also strong. The gate retracted smoothly without getting snagged on anything and is also space saving when it’s retracted. The gate is easy to use and operate which I only needed one hand to open the gate.

Fairly Simple Installation – Includes Small Pet Flap
This is a fairly nicely designed retractable gate. Something that makes this relatively unique is the fact that they included a zippered pet door on the last panel, so cats and smaller pets can pass through without having to open the whole gate. The reinforced vertical strips do provide a little better structure and stability to this gate, which is nice. The locking mechanisms appears to work well, and I appreciate that added safety feature, especially if this is being used for young children. Installation takes a little planning and preparation, but it’s not difficult. One thing that made the installation process a little more user-friendly is the fact that the bottom mount on the main unit can slide, so you can accommodate for floorboards and decorative molding on the floor. Overall, it’s a fairly good quality gate, and it seems to retract smoothly.
