STURDY SECURE RAMP
I have a pup just diagnosed with IVDD and degenerative myelopy. I needed a ramp in oder to get her in the van for her appointments.I bought 2 different ones.This one is by far the BEST!!!It is secure. It ltches to the back of van.It folds open so NO FEAR of it collapsing like the other one I bought.This holds my 100lb German Shepherd with only a little bit of a bounce. Not enough to frighten her!! And she is a very anxious girl.The traction on this is GREAT! Enough or her to not slip, but NOT LIKE A NAIL FILE (like the other ramp I bought).I Wille sending the PetSafe back and ordering another one of these.*Another feature is that is locks closed when you shut it. And it had a COMFORTABLE handle to carry it.**Note… it is a little heavy..but I needed the big one for my girl. So I bought the longest to make the incline less. â¡FANTASTIC product!Just saying…

Great product!
The ramp just came today. It is a little heavier than I thought, but I probably should have looked at that in the description. Besides that it is perfect. It is very well-made. The treads are like walking up carpet. It is wide and heavy duty. My dog is 95 pounds and this will certainly hold his weight. Plus it has a heavy duty lock so that you can secure it inside your hatch. I have a Kia Sorrento so I got the largest one so it extends far enough to make it not real steep. Great product. We are going to give it a few practice runs, and hopefully it should suit our needs just fine.

Well made, but can be slippery
This ramp is one of the more solid ramps I’ve owned. It’s also more compact because it folds into 4’s unlike the plastic ones. The only down side is that the carpet was too slippery for my french bulldog. I have an outback which sits high to begin with, so the angle was too steep for her to get up without slipping. I’m going to put something on the carpet to fix that. It was also too wide for the side seat. To me that’s not a negative – it just limits your options so customers should be aware. It’s nice and wide which is great for your dog, but you should probably measure if you’re planning to put it in your side door. Overall – a great product.

She loves it
Our giant breed puppy is blind and has some hind end issues, this ramp saved us. We had tried stairs for her because we liked how compact they were when the family of 4 goes together with the dogs. The stairs were just too hard for her to navigate. This ramp is wider than average so she doesn’t have to walk in a perfect straight line. The green cover offers great traction even after a big swim. It is rubbery feeling to it. Other ramps haven’t done well getting wet (we take her swimming a lot). With enough water they begin to smell. This ramp has been tough, without smell, and good traction even with wet paws. The convenient handle makes putting it away easy. We’ve had ours for over 3 months now and it’s doing great with heavy use.

Snagle paw ramp
Im so very disappointed with this ramp! My poor girl has a ligament tear & I need to get her safely in & out of my suv to go to the vet. I purchased this as it advertises to be the longest, widest ramp & can hold 280 lbs.The frame seems sturdy however the ramp itself moves when she walks up & down the ramp! Its also not very long so the angle into my vehicle is very steep.My girl weighs 80 lbs so Im not sure why the surface of the ramp reverberates however that doesnât seem safe.Iâm sure it would be fine for little dogs but not for any large ones & the claim of 280lb capability is laughable!

Easy and compact
We have tried several ramps over the years for our large dog who has arthritis, and this is the easiest to use. She finds good traction on the carpeted surface and itâs wider so she seems more confident on this ramp. She takes a little coaxing to get started but then continues up and down on her own.Itâs also lighter and more compact when folded up, so itâs easier to place in the backseat. We will be able to take her more places and enjoy more nature walks with her now.

Still not wide or long enoughâ¦
I purchased this ramp for both my senior greyhound, who has begun to struggle getting in and out of my 4Runner, and a friendâs large Rottweiler, whom I watch often. I began getting them used to the ramp by laying it flat on the ground (see video), and I really like the carpet covering for traction as opposed to many slicker ramp surfaces. It is much less wide than it appears in the AI generated photos for advertising, but you can easily take a tape measurer to visualize the dimensions in person. The length is not long enough to avoid a steep incline into the back of my 4Runner, which isnât even as tall as some SUVs or trucks. Lots of training will have to follow if I want either dog to use this ramp with confidence because they both currently slide down the ramp if they slow down or stop above the halfway point. This could lead to injury if a dog slips off one of the sides because even with training a perfect approach with momentum is not guaranteed with injured or elderly dogs. I imagine this ramp would work much better for younger large breeds or for breeds under 50 pounds. It is difficult and a bit cumbersome to fold and unfold-definitely canât be set up or taken down with excessive haste unless you are quite strong. The joints may become easier to open with more use, but a certain degree of tension is preferred to ensure the ramps wonât partially open when transported. It is also heavier than expected when carrying by the handle. All in all, this is not the perfect ramp for my needs, but I will continue working with my dogs to see if it can perform the job needed. It has performed better than shorter plastic ramps due to the height of my bumper, but the carabiner included should be replaced with one that is more durable for car attachment, and all potential buyers should perform a bit of math with the height of their intended surface and the length of this ramp to make sure the angle isnât too steep!
