One of the best purchases for my pup ever!
Love love LOVE this and it was so inexpensive. All in all, this is worth the purchase and highly recommended. Worked great for our pit mix and easily hooked onto her harness. Gave her freedom to move around a bit but not too much to be a distraction to the driver.Context:Our dog loves car rides but cannot sit still most of the time. She tries to jump into the front seat usually and Iâd have to hold my arm while driving to block the middle passageway the entire ride. She also loves to run back and forth between windows over my family members and hang half her body out the window. So we needed something to keep her a little more controlled and sheâs a pit mix, so it needed to be strong.Item details:The material of the âleashâ part is very sturdy. It feels like good quality and I knew immediately that it would hold our dogâs weight. The buckle had me nervous because it felt cheap, but itâs held up twice now so far. Will update if anything happens.The length is pretty good, and allows you to control how much freedom your pup has – though I wish you could adjust it just a little bit shorter. Even close to the shortest you can make it, our pup was able to stretch it in order to sit on the floor behind the driverâs seat (it was hooked over the middle as pictured). For us, it was fine because she wears a harness instead of a collar that hooks in the back but could lead to an unfavorable situation. I think if this was used in the passenger seat, it would also allow your dog to almost crawl into your lap as the driver at its shortest so just an FYI.That being said, still worth the purchase!!

When traveling, a good pet safety aid!
I purchased this seatbelt after an incident where I had to suddenly slam on my brakes to avoid hitting a deer while driving my dog to the park for her morning walk. I live in a rural area where deer are plentiful. Even though I was only driving 35 mph, my young dog was thrown from the seat and fell onto the floor.Since using this device, I’ve had to brake hard several times while my dog was a passenger. Fortunately, there were no tumbles to the floor during these instances. Attaching the strap to the headrest and the dog’s harness is easy.I was impressed by the quality and performance of this product, so I bought one for my wife, who also takes our dog on trips to the park in her car.

Good for a small dog
I got on of these a year ago for my Scottie to keep her in the Jeep when I take her for rides with the top down. It works great as she’s small and isn’t much of a puller anymore.It’s very easy to attach, she doesn’t get tangled in it, and is nicely adjustable so she can put her nose out of the car and I know she stays safely inside.A few weeks ago we adopted a 1 year Husky, he’s still a very energetic boy and loves riding in the Jeep as much as my Scottie does (he’s going to go nuts when I can put the top down).He paces the backseat and hangs out the window, so I put the leash in the back for him until I got a new one.One day he hopped out of the car before I got a hold of his walking leash, the leash did exactly what it needed, it stopped him from bolting off. But the adjusting slide broke.To it’s credit, it still works. The length can’t be adjusted, but it still is working as a leash. I don’t trust it with him as he is a rambunctious Husky.It’s just not made for big dogs with weight or epic pullers like Huskies. I’m very pleased with the leash, I got another for the Scottie, so I highly recommend it for little dogs.

Exactly what my pup needed.
My daughter told me about a car accident she drove by where a young sobbing woman was holding her dead dog that went through the windshield upon impact. My heart and her’s broke for this woman and her dog. So I searched for something that would hold my dog in the backseat. I use a body harness and then secure her with this. She may move around still, but will not be able to be ejected from the car if the unthinkable happens.

Easy to use on mans other best friend
Love this for keeping our 60lb dog in the back on road trips. I just put the loop around a head rest and clip it to her body harness and sheâs free to move about the cabin, so to speak. When I get to a rest stop I can easily remove it the harness from the headrest and use it as a leash to take her potty.

Happy I got this for our dog. Now she is safe on the seat and won’t go forward in a sudden stop. Attach to a harness or pet seat and not a collar so they don’t choke.

The plastic part on the piece broke and it tightened so much that we now can’t loosen it because of this. It doesn’t seem to hold back a strong dog, since it broke. Now it is not useable because we now can’t tighten it. It needs the plastic bits to be replaced with metal. I liked the product but can’t recommend it for any dog over 20 pounds or a very strong dog. Our dog is 40 pounds and wants in the front seat but this couldn’t hold him back since it broke and we can’t tighten it now.

I like this product for travelling with my dog. Attached to a harness and then wrapped around the headrest, my dog is safe if I need to stop suddenly. It is a really good product!
