    We get so much use!
It was easy to install, mostly because my grandpa is handy. Flap closes well. Dogs have started to chew on the flaps, thanks puppies. But it has held up well! It doesn’t sit flush to our outside of the house. But overall, the dogs have used it daily for about two months now!

    Heavy duty
This thing is so much nicer and heavy duty than the cheap plastic ones. I know, I had one that didn’t last a year with 2 dogs over 70lbs. This one installs similar to the plastic ones so it wasn’t hard to put in. Customer service is stellar when I had an issue with a flap.

    As advertised!!
I installed mine through interior drywall and an exterior stucco wall. I used rivets to fasten the interior sleeve. Overall took me about 4 hours but most of that time was running to home depot to get the right blade for my angle grinder to cut through the stucco. I have a German Sheppard and a small lap dog. Both are currently using the product after some training. We live in Colorado and the weather can get cold. I haven’t noticed a huge amount of cooler air coming into the home. I believe the product was as advertised and was a good buy.

    Quality Door, Easy Install
We’ve had this door for about 3.5 weeks now. My husband was going to hire someone to install it but when we watched the installation videos we decided to DIY It! It worked out great. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. It took my dog’s, who’ve never used a doggy door before, less then a week to learn to use it. So, I was impressed. The door is a quality product so far, it gets lots of use and looks very nice too. I saw someone mention that the flaps are a little loud when the dogs go in and out. I don’t mind this because then I know my dogs are either in or out of the house. My only complaint is that I wish we would have bought an extra large door. Our largest dog is a 90lb. German Shepherd and we measured him as instructed and they said it would he would fit. Honestly, he barely fits. If I ever have to replace it I will extra large so that he is more comfortable coming in and out. It just looks very snug. However, they are enjoying it and so are we.

Nice door but terrible design on flaps!!!!!
I read reviews about how great this door is so I ordered one for my new house I just moved into since I did not have a door to install it in and needed to cut a hole to install into my wall. The metal is quality but with metal comes challenges with the design of this door. On my last dog door where I lived before, the flap had an area it slid into so even if the screws fell out the door hung on for dear life. It was a heavy plastic material and a name brand. I decided this time I would prefer metal, which I now totally regret.Unfortunately the flaps are held in place, let me rephrase that, they are SUPPOSED to be held in place by screws that clamp two pieces of metal together. Since there is no where for the flap to insert to give it the extra stability it is a disaster all the way around. I wish so badly that I had paid closer attention to this major design flaw before I riveted it into my wall. As it stands, if I try to remove it, I’m facing a major nightmare, to say the least. The housing, for a lack of verbiage, is nice and that is great, however, this door is an impossible design. I thought for sure it would last at least a few weeks….nope, lasted until my dog went through then the flaps began to fall. During install one flap fell off so I left it off thinking not having it there to bother me during install was a better option anyway, however, at this point I wish I had paid closer attention to the reason why the flap fell out to begin with.Once the door was pop riveted in and caulked completely I planned to reinstall the inside flap but thankfully, or so I thought, the outside flap was still intact, again, at least just enough for my dog to go through it 3 times before it fell off completely. The screws are so tiny and they just don’t have enough “meat” to hang onto, for a lack of verbiage. Not to mention the fact that the manufacturer reamed out the holes the screws go into so only one screw is still somewhat intact, which is the only reason the exterior flap lasted just enough for my dog to go through 3 times before it gave way and fell off. This poor design is destined to fail, every time, every day. At this point I have no idea what I am going to do other than to put the locked panels in until I can come up with plan B.I could/can go to the hardware store and get longer, wider and better screws and perhaps even some washers to hold the heads from going through the metal hole that was over drilled out during manufacturing, however, that will prohibit me from ever using the lock panels if I have bigger screw heads. Not to mention the fact that I have not yet investigated if I use a longer/bigger screw, what will it damage on the opposing side. Basically, I’m in a rock and a hard spot at this point.I can bet all those good reviews were family members for the company perhaps? Or worse yet, they most likely are people that were paid to put all those fake reviews out there. If my review is not posted in the next few days I will know it was a fraud from the beginning. I’m so incredibly beside myself right now with not an option in mind to get my dogs a door.I am posting pictures showing the reamed out holes for those tiny little screws and also pictures of the tiny little screws that are a horrible design flaw. I am also posting pictures of the only flap that survived for the first 5 minutes until my dog went through three times….yep….just 3 times and now it’s history. UGH!!!

Good metal frame, but some design flaws
I bought this door for the aluminum frame. My dog broke the last door, which had a plastic frame. The overall door frame is good. Here are the problem areas: The security doors are very thin, flimsy plastic and can be cracked easily. The two flaps have about an 1/8” gap on both sides, so they don’t meet up with the side magnets and let in drafts. The installation was not as easy as a Petsafe door, which uses long screws and toggles. I had to modify the installation by drilling screw holes into the exterior, in order to work with my walls.

    Works just as advertised
Works great. I used to have the panel on my sliding door and this is significantly better. Very easy for dogs to get adjusted to.
