Great cutter, Very sturdy, cut a medium dog easily.
When our groomer raised our rates, it was time to learn about trimming a dog on our own. This product came highly recommended from a groomer. We purchased it realizing that if we trim our dog 3 times, we will have made money. The clippers are nice and heavy to make sure they hold up for long uses. It does get warm after about 45 minutes of use, but seems to cool quickly. We were outside with a breeze. It took us forever to trim our dog and this held up well. As we get better at grooming, it won’t take so long. The hardest thing is changing the head. A 10mm is pretty short and good for around the private areas. We bought a 5mm for the body which is also a bit short, but as it’s summer, he needs the shorter fur. IT keeps the stickers away. Overall this is a great product.

Good quality, works well
These are still made in ðºð¸ with some imported materials. They appear to be holding up well. I have about 10 hours of use on them at this point. Cord is long, no attachments included. You have to purchase a rather costly set of guards. They are 2 speed, but usually low is fine for cutting large doodles. They are not too loud, quieter than some. Hoping to get years of use from these.

Amazing superior clippers
All I can say is I shouldâve bought these earlier. The previous clippers I had were rated professional but were in no comparison to the quality, speed, functionality, and durability of these. I use these for personal use on my Aussie doodle, who has wavy thick hair. I asked a groomer and she recommended these along with another brand that was 4x the cost. Those werenât in my budget but these work so well that I have no regrets. I would go over the same spots and unstick hair from the plastic attachment combs every few swipes taking me over an hour to simply cut the hair evenly. I bet it took me 25 minutes to do the same job and I could leave it long for Midwest harsh winters. I added a picture of the combs as these were a great pairing. I am unsure if I had gotten plastic ones if I wouldâve been as happy with the results. So for $150 I have clippers and attachments that work very well and save me a tremendous amount of time. How much does it cost to groom your pet? This is priced but you wonât buy 3, as I have done in 2 years, if you just grab these the first time and swallow the slightly higher price tag. Also, I spoke with a friend who works in a vet office and the blade can be sharpened if you donât want to replace it when it gets dull, which saves about $30 in replacement blade cost. She even used these on her horse. Highly recommend grabbing these trimmers and the metal attachment blades for personal use!Slight negative: As others stated, they do get warm. I found I was done cutting as it got to this point. I would think a pause for the motor to cool would take care of it if you are cutting multiple animals.

So quiet!
These are so quiet. My dogs are so sensitive when it comes to loud sounds and they wonât let the clippers near them. These are so quiet that they arenât bothered by them. The clip nicely. It doesnât take a lot of effort to use them. I wish the cord was slightly longer. One of my dogs it quite tall and I have to move him rather than move the clippers sometimes.

Like butter!
I’ve tried at least 6 cheaper shavers for my cockapoo. He’s got mad fur growth! It’s thick and curly and hard to cut. Lots of real estate on that lil bod. Well, nothing worked until this monster shaver! I think it can shave sheep. This shaver cruised through all of the fur and left him a handsome stud. I highly recommend the Andis! I had never heard of it before, but I’ll be sharing this with everyone I know. I was paying $105 for my little Astro’s spa day (more like day of insane torture). Hoping this tool lasts for a long time. It did get a little hot towards the end. But I’d give it a 10/10!

Clips Miniature Poodle Hair Smoothly
Originally when first handling the removable blade, I remembered struggling to follow the provided instructions. After having used it for half a dozen trims, I know to push down the button at the base of the blade to release the blade. Be sure NOT to push in the hinge blade holder until you slide in the blade (otherwise you’ll have to pry it back out). Once you place the blade in, turn on the switch briefly to ensure that the blade locks down correctly into the motor – the blade has one piece that moves back and forth relative to the back plate and will require jostling to catch onto the motor hook. If the blade still does not sit down relatively flat against the housing, it probably means that this moving blade needs to be slid back towards the center – you can actually slide it entirely out to clean which means it can also be pushed out of joint. The steel Andis blades get hot fast so I’m always testing against my skin as I use it and cooling down with Andis cool care spray throughout. I spray both sides and turn the switch on for a second to get it into the teeth then wipe the blade down so I don’t streak my dog with the spray. The clipper comes with #10 which I use for the face, feet and sanitary area (butt and around to stomach). As a beginner, I’m happy with this length as opposed to the shorter #15 – plus I like a little fuzz which I think is nicer and less aggravating to my dog’s skin. I have a miniature poodle which requires trimming often. The blades cut through her thick chocolate hair cleanly and I use the #10 to give her poodle feet where I dig out the hair between her toes in her webbing. I’ve purchased in addition, the #4FC for a nice 3/8″ soft coat that provides her sun protection and most recently the #7FC 1/8″ blade for the humid NYC summer. The cord is plenty long for my small dog needs and I try to keep it out of the way by keeping it to the outside of my cutting arm. I rarely use the higher speed and doubt that I actually need it. Although my dog is small, I still require a couple of hours to trim her and have lately been doing her feet on a separate day so I break up the ordeal for my dog. I like to clip my dog all over including legs and ears for a practical, clean cut. (The only vanity is her pompom tail). For small poodle owners, I recommend Terra Nova’s The Toy & Miniature Poodle which goes into detail how to trim them. I haven’t been able to find a good video yet and instead surf youtube. The product feels well-made and durable. The motor is not particularly loud nor vibrates too much. It is easy to clean up after trimming – I use an old toothbrush to brush out the blades and exposed attachment area. You can also remove the top plastic cap and lightly brush the top area. The box comes with a 4oz bottle of clipper oil too which you should apply to the blade before use, but be sure to wipe off. Overall, feels like a professional product and appears to cut as smoothly as the ones I see at the groomers.

These clippers are very high-quality and they work extremely well. They are a little bit heavy, but I believe they will last long long time.
