   Awesome system this collar Works fantastic just wish it was cheaper
   I’ve played around with these GPS collars for a couple of years especially the cheaper ones and even though this one is definitely not cheap at 599 the price is a bit ridiculous but I got to say it works very very well. Like I said I’ve had experience with the GPS colors in a 200 dollars or less and they pretty much are trash because the GPS loses its function when your pet comes into the house. And that usually means buzzing beeping and or shocked to your dog. They also don’t track so well outside but with this collar you have GPS Wi-Fi and Bluetooth tracking your truck so it covers your bases when your dog’s inside and covers your bases when the dogs outside. I have five acres and I’ve got to say the setting of the fences on this collar is ridiculously simple. You can really do this fence in like a minute or two and then you can adjust it at will on the Fly and it works flawlessly. Right now I’m getting about 36 hours from the collar per charge I have a Britney Spaniel and she’s very active I did have a wireless system through PetSmart which worked well but because of the battery situation on those you generally will get a dog that escapes the boundaries and in the case of my Brittany Spaniel she just didn’t care about the shock she just ran as hard as she could got past it and she was free. She has tested this system and you have the ability to ramp up the sound the shock and the vibration and I’m pleased to say that she’s learned her lesson the other thing that’s really nice is that if your dog’s outside or you see them doing something you don’t want this system allows you to push you a little button and I usually just give her a little sound and she comes right back to the house. Like I said other than the pricing the system works very well. Now I do like the app I do think that it could use you know a little bit of tweaking very simple almost too simple and you know the monthly subscription just comes along with this it’s also more pricey but if you love your pets I have two other dogs and I will be buying two more callers

   Keeps our Boy happy, safe, and gives us peace of mind
   We rescued our pupper a little under a year ago shortly after moving into our first home together after closing. We have 2.2 acres with a 45mph highway to and about 1 acre in our front yard, corn to our south and west, and a creek separating us from our 11 acre neighbor’s property. It’s not a property we can fence in and even if we could it’s not a cost effective solution and problematic with our shared property with a farm, especially since we’re maintaining the previous owner’s handshake agreement of trading off some land from the west to the south for the farm’s use.For the first month our pupper did fine since he was timid learning his new home and getting used to things. We let him roam while attached to a 25 foot rope so he still had the freedom to run. As he got more comfortable we started to test things without the rope to see how well he knew and understood his boundaries and for another month he did amazingly well building a strong sense of trust in him from the start.Unfortunately shortly after he started to get too adventurous to the detriment of his safety. He would jump across the creek into our neighbors yard. He once got lost in the corn field for 20 minutes until I spotted him on the other side of the yard gallivanting happily like it was a non-issue that he could’ve gotten himself terribly lost deep within the corn field. And the worst was two instances, once while I was at work forcing my pregnant wife to hold him down and call her sister to come help and another time when he got away from me where he ran into the road almost getting hit by cars without a care in the world.We could go back to the rope full time but the rope had some flaws. The pup would sometimes attack the rope as he wasn’t the most fond of playing with it and training against it wasn’t easy. He would still be adventurous with the rope but it did make it easier to catch or prevent issues. And lastly he didn’t like to go full zoomie while attached.I found buried wires and after reaching out to our realtor learned from the previous owner the old electric fence wires were non-function so we started searching for wireless solutions. I thought strongly about buying a projection based fence from PetSafe where it shoots the fence based on a radius from a base station but our yard is a little too rectangular for that. I then found two GPS options, one from PetSafe that just released that was cheaper and had no subscription and Halo.I ultimately decided on Halo based on multiple factors, it already had a proven track record of success compared to the PetSafe GPS option and secondly it allowed for saving multiple virtual fences which was super useful for me as we have multiple family members nearby that we go to all the time especially with dogs of their own to allow them to play together.Once we received the Halo and I get it setup I started immediately with training our pup on the safe borders and what the beeping sounds meant. Use the rope I would give a light tug after a beep as we walked the borders and give him a treat. He was a super fast learner and in less than a week immediately understood that beeps meant return to safety. He would jut past the line occasionally which is where the vibration and shock feedbacks came in but after those occurred only a handful of times he never made those mistakes again. (I absolutely tested the shocks on my own neck first before doing it on him).The best part is now months later we can fully trust him on his own outside and know he is safe. We’ve had 0 incidents since training and using the Halo with crossing the creek, going into the corn, or even passing to the front yard. He loves it too because he gets more outdoors time, and when we play he has full reign.The only downside I’d say is it does suck having to pay a subscription but the service has only improved so I cannot complain. The app used to be slow to startup when I wanted to give him a whistle return command to come inside or to turn off the fence when we would be going for a car ride. Also the Halo was hard to turn off and on for awhile as we always took it off inside and would turn it off so we didn’t have to charge it every night as to not murder the battery. We only need it for outdoor usage. All of these issues have been fixed though which has been fantastic.Be prepared to adjust the fence posts a lot when initially setting up a fence as it takes a bit of tweaking to do everything based on GPS images. Also sometimes the GPS glitches when indoors so if you have fence posts close to the indoor structure I wouldn’t recommend wearing it while indoors.Overall I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking to give their dog the freedom to enjoy the outdoors safely!

   Ok so I priced putting a fence in my backyard, to do the work myself was going to be approx 6000$ for 500 linier feet of chain link fence. Instead I got the halo 3, now I’m only on day 2 of owning this collar. My dog is just shy of a year old so he listens well and understands me, but he always wanted to go to the neighbors yard to pee on their fence (they have a couple dogs and I have an intact male Doberman). This collar has completed stopped that in 2 days… I tried all the tricks before this and no matter the “punishment” for him it was worth going to pee on the fence.My little guy (80 pounds ) goes with me to a few different open areas frequently, I used to have to keep a close eye on him as there’s other buildings / people around regularly. Now I have fences in those areas (with the halo 3) and I honestly don’t even worry about him at all, he roams and finds his boundaries and stays within them.Now I’ll be honest, there’s a lot of “training” with this collar that I completely skipped, since my dog is fairly smart and I already know his limits. It says it can take up to 3 weeks for your dog to master the training, and instead I just went right to the real world and he learned in about an hour. That being said he’s already almost a year old so may be completely different for other users .This collar has completely changed many things for me. I can leave him outside alone without worry (I live on a busy street with many kids that walk it , it’s a school zone.)When I bring him to my garage, he can roam the property ( that I have “fenced” in , while I work and I don’t have to constantly watch him or calll for him.There’s only 2 downfalls…1 – battery lasts 20-24 hours and has a special charger, so don’t expect to charge on the road . Must be charged every night or between uses.2 – if leaving a “fenced” area with the dog you HAVE to turn off the fence or remove the collar. It doesn’t take into account that the dog is 4′ off the ground in your truck , it only knows that he passed the “line”. If you don’t leave the area much it wouldn’t be a factor. But I bring my little guy to work with me regularly, so we’re always in and out of “fences”. Once you get used to it (which I’m still working on) I’m sure it will be second nature.There is a monthly cost depending on how many fences you use , I took the lowest one of 5 fences, and it’s 8$ a month (totally worth it for the safety of my pup). Goes to 20 fences or unlimited (each costs more) so that part is up to you and what fits your life.Ok I think I’ve gone on enough, but in closing. Even though it looks bulky on my little guy he doesn’t get bothered by it one bit, but he’s used to wearing a collar means going outside , weather it be for a walk or just in the back yard or going in the truck. So he loves it. Took no time to adapt to the beeps, vibrations and the “shocks” , oh and there’s setting for each of these depending on your dog.Trust me if you need a fence for your dog just get this. It’s been a life changer for me and it’s been 2 days.

   Extremely expensive collar that doesn’t work on my Great Pyrenees. She walks right through it even though I’ve tried doing the training with her and I’ve tried putting the shock on. It doesn’t phase her.Also, the prongs fall out very easily and you have to pay $20.00 and wait a few days for a new set to arrive. The clasp broke off as well.I tried to make the collar work, thinking something was wrong with it as it glitched out a few times. So, I would deal with the halo support people( who were amazing) they would fix the software problems, but when I finally admitted defeat and realized the collar wasn’t going to work, I was 6 days over the return date. Amazon won’t take it back. And even though I was dealing with software issues, which pushed me past my return date, the Halo collar company would not let me return it through them either.Now I am stuck with an extremely expensive dog tracking collar (which is the only thing it’s good for). On the bright side, I found a shock collar that she listens to, so I use the expensive halo dog tracking collar along with the shock collar that actually works and it keeps her in the boundary.. as long as I’m home to keep watch and press the shock collar remote. Just a tip for anyone else in the same frustrating boat as me.

   Bought this for our dog after our in ground sport dog fence kept failing us. This collar gives you live tracking on your dog and lets you know exactly where your dog goes out of the boundary and where they get a warning. Now with the halo collar we can take our dog with us by simply turning the fence off and creating a new fence where ever we are going. I am happily surprised with how well the gps signal works as we live in a small rural town

   We have an Alaskan Malamute, so she likes to be outside a lot of the time. We can leave her out there as much as she likes. When it is cooler she prefers to be outside and we have no issues leaving her out at night. Early on she tested the boundaries, but knows them now. She has about 5 acers for her to roam and we rarely get notifications that she is close to a boundary.

   I purchased this collar afgter trying numerous other products. I was relectant at first because of the price. I work long hours and my dog would constantly leave the yard and travel kilometres away. My dog caughtr onto the training after only 2-3 days. Do not skip any of the videos! Again, thank you Halo for being a game changer
