Best Harness!!! Love the Blue Pool color!!!
I bought these for my two male Shiba Inu, they both weigh around 22 lbs so I bought the Small in the Blue Pool color, and the color is gorgeous!. This harness is excellent quality and fits them perfectly. There are a few negatives of this harness I want to mention though. They fit really tightly over the head and so my shiba’s will duck and weave when I try to put it on them. They tolerate this harness but they don’t love this harness. Another negative is that these harnesses are not easy to adjust at all. Like all harnesses you have to make sure you adjust them so they fit not too tight and not to loose. The other negative is that Ruff Wear doesn’t carry them in many colors. Ruff Wear also has the WebMaster harness which is escape proof because it has two belly straps, but they really don’t have any pretty colors. I have also introduced my Shiba’s to the Julius K9 IDC harness and WOW! What a game changer! Now they sit patiently smiling and let me slip this harness on. It is so fast and easy I am just shocked and happy how easy it is to put on and off. And it looks super cute on them too! I also tried the Joy Ride Harness on them and they hated it. It is not comfortable at all. The straps are scratchy and the belly buckle is huge and rubs them directly on the back of their front legs! Joy Ride harnesses come in a lot more pretty colors but the quality of their product is awful! I returned the Joy Ride Harnesses. I really wish Julius K9 harnesses came in as many colors as the Joy Ride does. That said, I highly recommend the Julius K9 harness if you have a Shiba Inu. Another great harness that my male Shiba love is the Comfort Flex Harness. They sit patiently smiling when I put the Comfort Flex Harness on too!I also have a female Shiba Inu and she is a classic escape artist and I keep her in the Ruff Wear Front Range.

    Ruff and ready!
I have a few of these harnesses for my jack Russell and my rhodesian ridgeback but wanted this particular color. These harnesses are reflective, durable and offer great comfort and control. Adjustable and machine washable

  3. FRECKLEFRACK

    Rugged, well designed training harness
We bought this for our recently adopted second dog, who has basically zero leash training. A friend who trains animals recommended it for its design and durability. Our new dog is tall and slender and very strong. I originally bought a L/XL at a local store thinking it would fit her well. Highly recommend following the size guide for this harness and measuring your dog. Turns out she fits a M; I would not have guessed that but the L was too loose even when cinched to its smallest size. Very easy to use and to adjust, one set of buckles to clip on to the dog v. two sets on a different harness we use for our other dog…hubby can actually figure out how to use this one, ha! There is a sturdy fabric loop sewn onto the sternum area of this harness, which is helping our new dog learn how to be on a leash (essentially when leash is connected to that sternum loop, when the dog darts forward and pulls the leash taut, the location of the loop causes the dog to be checked or pulled off course, redirecting their attention). The one downfall is that even in a well-adjusted M with a snug fit, the harness does still twist and shift a little. So it’s not like your dog is going to be completely pulled off course; however it is enough of a ‘check’ for our dog that it is helping her learn leash obedience. We purchased the bright red color and it is an orangey red, very visible against her black coat. Not sure that there is much that would actually reflect on this harness; the reflective trim gets lost in longer fur. I purchased the red to add extra visibility and safety and didn’t expect much night reflectivity. The entire harness seems very well made, and is well padded without being bulky. I appreciate the little velcro pocket for placing an ID tag. The metal loop on the back of the harness is intended for use when not leash training, but if you have a dog that pulls on leash, expect to need to use the fabric sternum loop for awhile, not the metal loop at back. Although I am not the dog and can’t speak to the comfort, she seems very comfortable in this and I don’t see any areas where chafing or pressure seem to be an issue. She actually gets very excited when we bring it out, yet it has a calming effect on her once she’s wearing it. Though we have only had this harness a week, it is already worth its money, as we are finally seeing some progress and it has been subjected to a VERY strong, active 65lb dog. I would purchase this exact same harness for a regular use harness (even if leash training was not needed) but do note there is no lift handle if that is ever needed. I can see why so many trainers recommend this harness.

    why i love this harness
This harness is amazing for our dog! You can see in our video how well it fits on her big chest too. It fits perfectly and feels super secure without being restrictive on her. I love how easy it is to put on and adjust even for the car—no more wrestling matches before walks – she lets us put it on her cuz she knows it wont hurt. The straps are comfortable, and I can tell our pup is much happier wearing it compared to others we’ve tried. Plus, the leash holder on the back is a very strong for extra control when we’re in busy areas. It’s sturdy, stylish, and makes every walk feel like a breeze. We couldn’t be happier with it!

Well made and could be good for many dogs
The harness is well made. It is easy to get on to and off my Ridgeback. It is easy to adjust. The range of adjustments just is not enough for my dog. I have a 95 lb Ridgeback. His body form is much like a sight hound, though heavier build. I have the front portion of the harness adjusted to smallest and back portion to largest. The harness is still loose in front. I would recommend this harness for dogs other than sight hounds.

  6. Crabbydollfin

Great harness, high quality, thoughtful design
Purchased this XS Red harness for our 4 month old black Aussiedoodle after a bad experience with another brand of Canada where the fasteners kept popping open with anything but light pulling pressure. This Ruff harness is the bomb!! Nice padding, not at all flimsy like other brands, the aluminum hook on the back is really nice and solid, I like the hidden dog tag pouch, and the plastic latches seem very strong and durable… I can’t imaging them coming undone. The red color looks sharp and contrasts nicely on a black dog (not an obnoxious red). The reflective appointments shine bright outside but not inside. Just realized it has a loop on the back floor a safety light when walking at night so plan to get that. Overall excellent product at a justifiable price point. I’m a fan!!

    – It is light. We originally bought one from a pet store that was heavy.- It is nicely padded in the areas it might rub and cause discomfort- It is easily adjusted – as long as you refer to the sizing chart before ordering. I ordered a large and could not adjust it down to where it would fit my guy. Returned it and bought a medium and now I have latitude up and down.- It is durable and quick drying. We live in a area with lots of rain and it dries between walks.- It is a fair price. A lot of harnesses I looked at were more expensive and offered less comfort and safety than this one. What is it missing – really not much.- Some harnesses have a handle that let you quickly grab your dog if there is some issue regarding safety. I have had only one incident so far and I was able to get my hand around the top of the harness very quickly and lifted my guy to safety.- Night reflection tape. Yes there is some night reflection built into the harness but I wish there was more because it is so dark on our streets.

Excelente calidad, su precio lo vale, es la segunda pechera de mi perrita, la primera es de la misma marca y aún no se rompe ni nada.

  9. Suthy 84

Great quality harness. I’ve hiked all over the Rockies with it and it fits my Min Pinscher perfect

  10. Lynne F.

I love RUffwear products. The elastic creates a snug, comfortable fit and the attachment points are sturdy and strong. I love that there is an abundance of reflective strips on this sturdy harness.

Llevo un par de semanas y ya se está rasgando la tela. Para el precio no cumple con los estándares de calidad que promete el producto. También le ha causado irritación en las axilas a mi mascota.
