Best dog food
I was always told to find a dog food that the first 5 ingredients are meat. The smell of dog food really doesn’t matter. Although I will say it does stink. But the first 5 ingredients are fantastic.The digestion of this dog food is great for your dog.This dog food is healthier for your dog than any other dog food. I have found out there.Which is why I also ordered the cat food

Great for my puppy and adult Rat Terrier! Quality ingredients, good price, heavy bag, no complaints!
Pros:- Good quality ingredients with limited grains- Designed to meet established AAFCO nutritional levels- No corn, wheat, or soy- Attractive price on Amazon- Rat Terrier approvedCons:- None at the momentPersonal Experience:I have a 27 pound Rat Terrier and a new 12 week old Decker Rat Terrier puppy that both enjoy the Canidae dry dog food. I have switched dog foods frequently over the years (I have always been careful to gradually ease the transition as to not upset my dog’s stomach) because my adult Rat Terrier can be a rather pick eater when it comes to some dog foods. There have been dog foods I have tried in the past that are highly reviewed with excellent ingredients, but unfortunately probably didn’t taste appetizing to my dog. For example, I tried Nature’s Domain and some of the Science Diet line but both were unappetizing to my dog. The cheaper dog foods seem to be appealing to my dog, likely because they use a lot of fat and other cheap ingredients that probably taste good to dogs. It reminds me of why I like cheap double cheese burgers from McDonalds…In any case, aside from my adult Rat Terrier liking this food, I always check dog foods I am interested in potentially purchasing against the free websites dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider to get a more accurate analysis of the ingredients. Reviews on Amazon can be quite subjective and even the most knowledgeable dog-owners generally are not the absolute best experts on all the effects of each dog food ingredient. Hence why I use those two websites. Canidae Dry Dog food, Chicken Meal and Rice, scored 4 stars on both of dog food review sites (which is an excellent score). In addition to my adult Rat Terrier enjoying the food, my little puppy gobbles it up too! It’s perfect that the Canidae dog food is for all life stages!Conclusion:Quality dog food with good ingredients (confirmed through analysis by dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider) and my adult and puppy Rat Terriers enjoy the food. It is well-priced on Amazon for the quality and amount. I definitely recommend this dog food.

One of the better options at this price point
So my two dogs (7 and 8) seem to love this stuff and have been on it for years. We had to switch one of our dogs to raw fed as she she was having trouble with kidney stones and lack of moisture in her diet. She still really likes this stuff though and always wants a cheeky treat now and then. Its still a good go to for training purposes, or a quick reward.Our other dog eats this only, and is a happy camper, healthy coat, always playing. We searched a long time looking for a decent kibble that wasn’t crazy money and still was healthy enough. This brand is on the “lower” end of the “best you can get” but is solid choice and consistent. For the money I think is one of the best you can get without spending over a hundred bucks a bag.We get the 44lb bag and it last our 50-60lb pooch nearly 2 months. With the cost of everything these days spiraling out of control, its decent value for a pretty decent kibble option. I have looked into switching it up, but i honestly cant find anything that compares to the quality and price ratio.

Great quality food!
Iâve fed my dogs Canidae for years and each and every one of them have thrived with this food. The vet always compliments how shiny and silky their coats look and how healthy their teeth appear. My latest rescue had sensitive stomach issues and was on medication upon rescuing. She transitioned to this food great! Within two months her digestion and stomach sensitivity improved so much she is no longer on the medication. Itâs a little expensive but the old saying âyou are what you eatâ doesnât just apply to us – it applies to our pets too.

Great food
Bought thos product when it was on sale for the same price I usually purchase my dog food for. This was three protein sources, including omegas and no grain, etc. My dogs ate less than the other food. It kept them full longer and with the price difference being almost $15. More than the other food I think it’s worth it and will actually be saving money in the long run. Will continue to use this food.
