Nice, inexpensive high resolution camera -Update – fatal flaw with usefulness -no snapshots – Update
I found a way to view the Kasa camera on Windows (sort of). I downloaded an Android image (BlueStacks 5, free) that runs Virtually on Windows 11. The only think I had to do was go into my BIOS and turn on virtualization. What shocked me is that I could go to the Google Play Store and download many of my serious apps like Kasa and Yolink (water detection devices) and they both work well. Amazingly I have both those icons on my Windows Desktop and If I just click on one of those it automatically loads Bluestacks and runs it that way. Users mostly just get games from the Play Store but kind of shocked that it works the way on apps. My win 11 PC is a 6 core Ryzen, MSI Tomahawk MB with Nvidia 1080 GPU and 32 Gig of system ram.Update again. Everything changed when I put an SD card in. I can now see the triggered clips directly recorded on the SD card in the Kasa app without removing the card. You must enable 24 hr recording for this to work. While they still don’t send you a snapshot of the triggered event there is a screen grab function that you can take while viewing a clip. So this camera is now very useful. And you don’t have to subscribe to Kasa Care to use this. Sorry about the incorrect review but they didn’t mention this in their documentation. Would still like to see this app working on a Windows PC but right now is just Apple IOS and Android supported.Update: While the picture quality is very good and can live stream well, unfortunately, this camera never sends me a picture of event that triggered my camera. When I get the notification on my phone whoever or whatever triggered the incident is long gone with no proof of the event.*** Update: This is wrong but you must put an SD card in***Now, you can put an SD card in (not supplied) the camera but to view the videos recorded but you have to pull the SD card out and view it on another device.*** Update: this is also incorrect*** Sorry. This only works if you have 24 hour surveillance set in he app. Also, you can pay for Kasa Care, their online cloud service and that costs $3 / month. Why this camera can’t just send you a snapshot of whatever triggered it, I don’t know. This camera was so inexpensive with excellent video quality, so I’m keeping it, but this is a fatal flaw in the usefulness of this camera. This could easily be fixed with a software update.I have those Kasa remote on/off light units (times 3) so I thought I’d add a Kasa camera to the mix. I went for the higher resolution camera which they refer to as QHD. It was worth the extra $10. The Kasa app works but they don’t have a PC version (Windows or Mac). So I only have the app on Android and Apple phones / tablets. I will get a micro SD card to record. Apparently, there’s a 256 gig maximum storage limit. I also like the fact that you can turn off the light that shows the unit is on. Although if you have tracking switched on the movement of the lens (and the whirring noise that makes) is a dead giveaway.

Great purchase and quality! Easy setup!
I bought this to see what my pet does all day. Which is not much. Haha. I also like being able to just pop in at my house if Iâm away or just to see what is going on. The quality is amazing! I got the 2k camera. It was easy to set up and connect to our router. I love being able to remote pan and tilt it. The viewing area is pretty large but in the app, you can zoom in (but if you go too far, it seems to create a glitch and blacks out, spins, and then brings you to your phone window). So just donât over zoom in. I sometimes takes screenshots but the app lets you press a picture mode. Itâs also great because you can turn on a mic and talk through the phone app to the camera. I called my dogâs name to test and she was definitely confused. Lol. Depending on connectivity however, smoothness of video and quality of mic can be delayed or break up. Not a big deal for me. You can also set the image quality to 3 different levels with the 2k. I usually go with the middle one hoping it allows less lag and possibly smoother quality.I also like that I donât need a subscription. I just check in when I want in the free downloadable app, but I also like thereâs an option to buy an SD card if you want to store any imaging. I might buy an SD card to see how much it can hold.I also found out my colleague has this same camera after showing off my cool camera and what my pet was doing! We both love this camera!

Great value
Easy to install with durability and function. Great quality pics and helps with security surveillance when not at home. Able to have a view of whole property just by moving camera using phone. Highly recommend.

Great for price
Guys the quality of the image for this camera in 4K is amazing. It gives great image, moves fast and the set up is quick.I did give two stars because: If you talk to the camera via the app, the sound comes out really low and cracked. It sounds bad. I meant to use this feature with my dog when I’m away and it has not worked because she gets scared when it sounds. The second downside is that you can only have the camera in one phone. We tried connecting to my wife’s phone as well and the app won’t let us. So that’s another downside. For the rest, sturdy, great video quality and easy to set up.

Skeptically Surprised
I was skeptical about these cameras. I had Blink in the past and loved how they operated remotely through the app, but Blink was slow in reporting movement and if something moved past the sensor too quickly, the cameras wouldn’t capture it. These Kasa cameras work perfectly! Not only do they capture great video quality, having the freedom to pan and tilt makes the cameras exceptional! The built-in speaker and microphone are an added bonus, plus the geofence feature in the app allows my family the privacy they want, without sacrificing the security of the home. I wish I could use cloud-based storage without SD cards, but the camera itself is definitely worth the buy!

Affordable & Effective
For how affordable this is, I am pretty impressed. The app is mostly easy to use (slight learning curve setting up viewpoints) and the quality is great to keep and eye on pets both day and night. The 24/7 recording feature with an SD card is intuitive and being able to adjust the motion sensitivity is great. The app controls to pan the camera up/down and left/right are a little bit wonky/over-sensitive, but not enough to lose any stars, it just takes a few tries to get it into position with some careful maneuvering.
Very disappointed in this product –
I am quite happy with this brand

Yes, these do come with a US style wall charger but work with any USB chargerIt means I can keep my plan of Kasa in one house and Tapo in the otherMakes it easier to identify even though the Tapo app can separate them
