This is a good brush
We adopted an aussiedoodle that had been shaved at the shelter. His coat is now growing back after 2 months. I ordered this brush BEFORE he came home so we could get on a daily grooming schedule right from the beginning. He loves getting brushed every day. The pin side seems to stimulate his skin and he loves it. The brush side is great for around sensitive areas like his eyes, his ears, and his chin. His coat is growing back in nicely and there are curls and waves now. This brush works very well to get through those little curlies and doesn’t pull or dig in.It’s ergo-friendly and is very easy to hold in my hand. I used a brush like this for years for our kitties & pin heads seem to come off over time or they push down into the base. No pin heads have come off yet after being used every single day for 2 months.I’m tempted to order a 2nd one to have on hand in case this one ever wears out. So far so good.I recommend it for quality and for being a good value.UPDATE 12-21-23 – a few pins have pulled out but it’s my error. I used a steel dog comb to clean hair off of it and the comb pulled 4 pins out. It’s a good brush but I don’t recommend using a heavy duty steel comb to clear the hair off. Use your hand instead if possible. The other thing I love about this brush is that the BRUSH side is not overly stiff and it’s great for brushing around eyes and muzzle. I still recommend it with 5 stars.

What a great brush!
This brush is perfect, especially for matted fur on Poodle breeds. The metal bristles are soft but so effective on untangling and fluffing up head and jaw fur and the reverse side is great for brushing the back and belly. My pup loved it and couldnât get enough. Highly recommended.

Not great for de shedding but perfect for daily brushing
I have a border collie mix and it doesnât tangle on either side. He enjoys the brushing and works well on medium length hair.

Kind of big, but a good brush.
I bought this brush for a beagle–and quite an oversized one at that–and I think the brush is a little too big for him. It’s the same size as (most) any other brush you’ll find at the local pet shop, but it bangs into the dog’s knee caps if I’m not super careful while brushing him. [It would have been nice if the hard plastic frame had rubber trim around it.] Being a short-haired breed, I also have to be very gentle when using the metal bristle side of the brush so as not to poke him and irritate him. However, the brush itself is high quality. I didn’t realize how much a beagle sheds, but they do pretty badly (or at least this one does), and the nylon bristle side of the brush catches a lot of loose hair that would otherwise end up on the carpet, clothing, etc. The metal side is good for (or at least helps with) detangling hair when he gets into something he shouldn’t (or is petted by children with sticky hands). Past experience has taught me that eventually the metal bristles will separate from the brush, but that won’t be for a while yet. Overall, I’m happy with the brush.

Works well
Good quality for the price, and works well on our dogs medium length hair. Comfortable to hold and use. Would buy again.

Wonderful Brush
I prefer this brush out of all the other brushes we have for our Large Double Coat Collie. I reach for this one every single time. It gets the excess hair and undercoat so effectively; it is truly amazing.

Used every day
I like this cheaper brush for my Husky. The expensive ones take out too much hair imo and it still gets everywhere. This is gentle and he likes it and the hair is easy to come off the brush. I still have to vacuum everyday but that’s life with a shedding dog.

Overall Good brush, stainless steel pins pads pops out
The brush does a good job thoroughly brushing dogs with long hair, and single or double coat. However, we have purchased this brush 3 times, and 2 out of the three times, the piece that holds the stainless steel pins comes out of the brush. We have had to superglue it back in to continue using it. I don’t know if it is an issue with the adhesive or if the material doesn’t stick to it, but it is annoying when you are brushing a dog with a thick coat and the brush pops out. We have never had an issue with the bristle side.

My long haired border collie absolutely HATES being brushed. His double coat gets easily matted and brush time is a real strain on our friendship. I’ve tried every type of brush there is and he hates them all.Today was the first time he didn’t try to run away from me while brushing. This one is gentle, but still managed to remove enough loose hair to fill a small teddy bear, and detangles some big ol mats.He didn’t love it. But he tolerated it and that’s worth 5 stars to me

I bought this strictly for the bristle side cause it’s way cheaper than a single sided bristle brush, plus I wasn’t sure if the bristles would do what I wanted them to do.I have a lab, and they shed their top coat a fair bit in spring and fall.I’ve tried lots of brushes that are supposed to work on the long hair top coat. They don’t. They get some top coat, but mostly undercoat.I needed a brush that would pick up the long loose top coat hair and this one definitely does. I get a tiny, tiny bit of under coat with it, but it’s so minuscule it’s barely noticeable.Added bonus is my dog loves this brush. It doesn’t pull on his undercoat, and he stands perfectly still for as long as I want to brush him, so he must like how it feels. Also it really works on distributing the oil so his coat is really shiny. He has sensitive skin and distributing the oil also reduces his scratching significantly.
