    Awesome backpack
I love it. The quality is like nothing else I have seen for a dog carrier. It has multiple pockets for storage so a second backpack is not needed when traveling or going on hikes. I have been looking for a bag like this to carry my 10 lbs. dog in. I’m only 5’2” 110lbs and can carry him comfortably. Love it love it

Best Travel Pet Bag By Far
My dog is a 16 years old Maltese. She’s still quite spry for her age. However, she doesn’t walk much anymore because she is almost blind.I travel quite a bit and I take my dog wherever I go. I’ve researched and purchased an enormous amount of dog traveling gear. I currently I have 3 backpacks (including this one) in the trunk of my car. Depending on where we’re going and for how long dictates which backpack to put her in.I use this backpack mostly for traveling on planes and festivals/events. Sometimes I use this if I just don’t feel like showing the BS “registered” service dog card or with places that don’t adhere to service dog laws (ADA) like Chinese markets. I could hide my dog easily in this backpack. I shouldn’t have to disclose that I’m Chinese, but I am in case anyone thinks I’m somehow being somehow racially biased by stating a FACT.This backpack has so much room for my 7 pound dog that I can store up to two days worth of clothes, toiletries and my tablet. It’s perfect for air travel because the backpack can be placed on the floor horizontally and there’s plenty of room. I used to have a carrying case just for my dog when traveling so either I would bring another backpack with clothes or a luggage roller. Now, I can reach for my tablet, water for myself and my dog, and any other electronic items I placed in the bag.I realized black is not an ideal color for summer outdoor events but there are a couple of things to consider when cooling down your pet.First, there is plenty of room in the compartment between you and the dog to place a cooling pad. In fact, there’s a 7″ x 10″ compartment right up against the animal compartment.Second, I have two cooling blankets that I purchased for my dog. Even though it is freezing in my house, I was told by the vet that she shouldn’t be breathing more than 30 times in a minute. The cooling blankets help a lot so I fold one and place it at the bottom of the animal compartment.Kurgo really did a great job designing this bay. The only criticism that really doesn’t mean much is the two rods that come with the backpack are useless. It takes up too much space in the animal compartment. So if your dog is in the 20 pound range, they’re pointless. That’s pretty much it! If you made it all the way down here, you must be a pretty patient person.

    Best One
It’s is bigger than I expected. After trying other brands this is by far the best one. Our puppy dog loves it. She is almost 10 pounds and has plenty of room. Extra places for storing other items, so we only need to take one bag. Built to last, great ventilation, strong zippers, could be a little cheaper, but worth the price for sure. The bottom is flat and durable material so she can sit nicely and look out the front mesh or sides. FYI we returned the K9 sport pack immediately. Get this one instead. Love love love.

Pretty much the only option for hiking with your friend
Disclaimer: I tested this with a 4-lb kitten.EDIT FOR FIRST HIKE: This is only one step up from a normal backpack. Comfort was surprisingly fine for me, and because my cat is tiny, she was not impacted at all. But my water reservoir was filled to 3L, and it took up a ton of space in her compartment. Cat area was not as stuffy as I thought it would be in the heat (90 F / 32 C), but the limited ventilation did not take advantage of the breeze. Make sure your shoulder clips are buckled, otherwise the fit will feel off. Lowered my rating by a star because the price is way too much for what you get.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have tried many, many packs, and this one is the only one to have a separate pouch for the owner. This makes it ideal for hiking, so I can carry my water reservoir with me (there is an actual sleeve for it) instead of a water bottle. The membrane separating it from the pet pouch seems thin enough that if I put cold water in it, it should help keep my cat cool on longer hikes in the sun. The two pouches on the side are large enough that I can put a larger nalgene bottle in each of them, which is very convenient if I don’t want to hassle with a reservoir. There are two stabilizing rods that don’t seem to make much of a difference; I think it is more when you use it as a carrier for the airport. While wearing it, the comfort is average compared to other packs I have tried. Mesh/foam on the back is okay enough for padding, but offers zero breathability.Regarding my cat, it actually has a decent amount of room even when it is on my back, though I have not tested it with a full reservoir, which will undoubtedly change that. However, a longer/taller pet would not feel cramped if sitting upright. There is a little window at the top that can be rolled up and held in place with a latch, which is a nice feature that I have not seen with other packs. My biggest complaint on my cat’s comfort is that there are very few ventilation holes: two medium vents on each side (where the pockets are, and could be covered up), the hole in the top (which is doesn’t breathe well when closed), and three vertical slits facing the front. While this offers good sun protection, it likely gets very stuffy for your pet during the warmer months. This has not been tested yet as an airport carrier, but clearly some thought was put into designing that as a feature. It has a handle on top for carrying, but I would have preferred a shoulder strap. I doubt I would take this to the airport not just because of the comfort points listed above, but because it does not look like a cat carrier, and it would be easy for airline staff to assume it’s just a normal backpack. Also, this doesn’t meet the size restrictions for most airlines for carry-on luggage, and definitely wouldn’t fit under the seat, so … take that as you will. Personally, I wouldn’t even risk taking this on an airplane for fear of getting turned away at the gate.

Mi perro es un bleagle de 15 años, pesa 7.3kg le quedó muy cómodo el espacio, yo creo que cabe muy bien un perro un poquito más grande, a parte tiene compartimiento para la compu o los platos . Muy contentos con el producto

I’ve had this bag for awhile now, but just getting around to writing a review after I recently took my dog (10 pound pomeranian chihuahua mix) on a trip to Mexico. That’s when I realized how much I loved this bag! For one thing, there are 3 vents on it (front and both sides), but my dog is still basically invisible inside. It doesn’t look like a pet carrier, so we can fly under the radar easily. This works great, as my dog doesn’t particularly like strangers, so she’s able to watch without people trying to engage with her! It’s also great because I can put her in the bag if I need to go into a grocery store or something, and no one realizes I have a dog, haha. (I also used this a couple times on buses where pets weren’t strictly allowed…shhh).A note on flying with this bag: it met the dimensions for pet carriers on the airlines that I used, but I did run into an issue with one person at United who was hell-bent on telling me it wasn’t a “real” pet carrier. Luckily her supervisor came to see it, saw that my dog had the room to move around and the requisite three vents, and approved it. But the original person was very difficult and seemed to think I was trying to get away with boarding a plane after just stuffing my dog into a backpack. It also just has a lot of nice features, with multiple pockets that are well thought out, high quality zippers, and is pretty comfortable/sturdy on the back. I think it’s meant for hiking on longer trails with your dog, so it has some of those straps for comfort. All in all, a really great purchase that’s super versatile, and that my dog loves too! (One of her cutest tricks is just hopping right in as soon as I put the bag on the ground!)

After buying the backpack last summer, today was the first time I’d properly tested it on a long walk. I would recommend using the stabilising rods provided with the backpack so it feels more rigid. It feels strong and there’s the ability to connect your dog’s harness within the rucksack to keep him/her secure. My border is quite heavy for her size but the comfortable straps helped distribute her weight evenly. Plenty of room for her to be comfortable. As shown in the photo, the rucksack can be used as a carry case. This was really useful when we stopped for a drink. My little girl could then lie down comfortably in the rucksack. Great value for money; I would highly recommend.
