This looks good, and works as expected. now my little dog can go out by himself and do his business in the backyard. only concern is the door is not closing tight sometimes, but not too off either. I am happy in general.

Recently we were redoing the outside siding on our house and there was a lot of leftover wood. We decided to build out of the excess materials a catio. We decided though the ours would not be permanent and could be moved around depending on the season, weather and our needs. Once we built it, I decided that the best way to let him in or out on his own and primarily in the later afternoon would be to have a screen door that led to the catio. We made a hole in the side of the catio and used a wood frame to keep it rigid and prevent him from escaping but then needed a way for him to enter from the house. I wasn’t crazy about any type of door entry and the best solution for us was the screen at the window that he loves the most.The instructions were very thorough and helpful, however I did hire someone to install it as the screen material that existed on our window wasn’t really heavy duty and they installed one that was seven times thicker than normal screen are. The frame for the outdoor structure I needed to make sure the hole was large enough that the door could still swing open or closed. We also have it with the opening where the kitty stairs are instead of making him jump. The door works so well. It has two side locks if you want to prevent your kitty from using the door at certain times or keeping other animals out. Ours we don’t use that lock as much since it is a screen and you can just shut the window. It also has a magnet at the base to prevent it from endlessly swinging. So far it has exceeded my expectations.

My only concern is that there is a bit of a space between the frame and the door so I hope mosquitos won’t be using that as an entry point. Other than that, this is stopping my cat from meowing like crazy asking to let him out on the balcony ð

Easy install and great option for Screen doors
I ended up sending this back but only because it was too big for the small screen area that I needed to put it. That was my fault. However, I did get a chance to take a look at it and how it fit together and I think it is a great idea for a screen door, such as entry to a patio or wherever you may keep access available all the time. Complete instructions included. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because here is a think gap all around the door where small insects can get in. Pet doors I have had in the past have had a sort of filler in there for insulation and keeping insects out.

Works well
We’re still working out the kinks in our catio system, and haven’t wanted to splurge on a full-sized window insert to allow the kitties in and out. We thought this would be a good alternative.It’s easy to install straight onto the window screen (we used an old one we had sitting around so we wouldn’t damage the current one), and the locks work fine. The only trouble was that since it is (and is intended to be) mounted straight to the window screen, the weight is a little much and it’s a little…floppy, I guess you could say. But it’s lightweight enough that the cats have figured out how to use it.At this point, it’s still not the perfect solution we needed for our unique needs, but there’s nothing wrong with the product itself.

And your cats might not notice it either even after three days this perfect installation my kids have not acknowledged this door. I have one in front of the house too they only know how to go one way through it but they just can’t seem to grasp the concept of how it works which is weird because I’ve seen them push the bathroom door open with their face many times. It was a little bit disappointing the they would not use it or even acknowledge it. Yes I’ve done the food bribe but they don’t fall for it. It’s not heavy. It’s very lightweight, there’s no way they can’t push it open. It blends in really well but its not that invisible I know cats don’t have the best vision and I don’t want to force them through it, that would be insane. I am happy I didn’t have to destroy my screen. It makes no sound when passed through it. Well my hand didn’t maker a sound when it passed throughð. You literally just clip it then cut it out then bolt it together with the bag of tiny bolt and nuts they supply you. To install the door it took me 20 minutes. I’ve never done anything that fast.

Quality cat/dog door for your screen
We are added a catio outside one of our windows and this screen door was the perfect solution instead of taking the screen off my window!! This door installed on my screen fast and easy! The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. It came with all the necessary hardware for installing the door in our window screen. I love the feature of being able to lock the screen door when I want the cats to remain indoors. I also love that I can just close the glass window and this screen door won’t interfere with the glass window at all. This door is very economical as well. Our cats, and us humans, love it!
