Great training collar that changed my life!
In the past, I always used a choke collar; but this prong collar is gentle on my 6 mos. 48pd red golden retriever female’s neck yet reinforced training without damaging her throat. I still have 3 extra links as she grows; I ordered a medium. I highly recommend this collar! It was a game changer on walking & training her!

  2. Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr

    Good quality – works flawlessly
Gives my dog instant feedback when she pulls too hard, and wears comfortably the rest of the time. Really should have started with this, but it made an instant difference at four years old with a history of pulling so hard she was gasping and wheezing. Now walks are much more pleasant, and I should be able to transition back to the normal leash once she’s completely broken the habit of pulling.

  3. FigNewman

    Easy to use; works well
I’m about to order this product for the THIRD time. Here’s the deal. I love it. It’s great. It keeps falling off. I have no idea how or why but my pooch has lost the other 2 and here I am about to order my third.4 stars with 1 star deduction because it keeps falling off!

  4. Henry W

Game changer if you have an out of control pup
I didnt think I’d ever get used to using a prong collar but this one has definitely changed my mind. The old style I had was one that needed the links to be done and undone without a buckle which I’m sure everyone knows is a pain. This one with the buckle totally makes things way easier to get on and off with a simple click of a buckle.Definitely recommended.Tip! – make sure to hook both rings onto the leash. The buckle is not strong enough to hold you’re furry friend if only one ring is hooked on. Also helps apply equal pressure to the prongs.

    Worked Great!
I have a 75 pound german shepherd puppy. So hyper and just would not learn to walk on a leash. I always thought this was not the way to go. I couldn’t train her with food, praise or anything. Just so excited to be on a walk and no one was there but me! Loved to smell and discover more. Within five minutes she was walking and not pulling, Listening when I told her to wait and sit. She was still happy with tail wagging and enjoying the walk. It doesn’t hurt, it is a gentle reminder to listen to the person walking her. Highly recommned.

For those that are concerned about pronged collars
I have a German Shepherd dog I worked extensively since he was 3 months old (now 6 years) and had a difficult time getting him to walk without choking himself at times. I’ve had several dogs through training and never had this issue, but my current GSD has anxiety and nervousness when around people or areas he’s not familiar with. Although through training and care we have calmed this down quite a bit, when approached by strangers (or even have neighbors outside during our walks) he would pull so badly he would choke himself and yank me along with him.I was always against prong collars and thought I could train the behavior away, however after exhausting every avenue I decided to take a friends advice and try one. The different was IMMEDIATE starting from our first walk using it. I am not sure why exactly, but he has since all together stopped pulling while using this collar almost entirely when approached. I am not sure if it’s sensory related to feeling the prongs against him to keep him focused on me or what, but he doesn’t choke or hurt himself when using this collar. The prongs themselves are rounded and have additional rubber ends to prevent any puncture wounds to your pet, and after 2 years of use almost have never had my pup get any injury in result. In fact it has results in my pup hurting himself less and no long pulls to the point of choking himself.PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS TO BE ONLY USED WHILE ON WALKS OR TRAINING PURPOSES AND IS NOT MEANT FOR ALL DAY USE. WHEN FINISHED PLEASE REMEMBER TO REMOVE AND STORE AWAY UNTIL USE IS IMMEDIATELY NEEDED.If your story sounds like mine, I’d recommend at least trying this to see if it helps.

  7. J

    Does not work on doberman
Not effective with my Doberman. The lack of chain (it uses black fabric with fastener to connect it) makes it unable to correct by tightening. The prongs being covered makes it to gentle. I was hopeful but Springer is the way to go. Three stars because it’s clearly high quality with safety in mind. The safety just outweighed the purpose for us

  8. Renzo Shima

    Best training investment.
My dog is an extreme sniffer, once on a leash he spends his entire time with his nose to the ground, not caring in the slightest about listening. I’ve tries many forms of collars, harnesses, and head collars in an attempt to stop this issue and to aid in training him. (To understand the full scope, it took weeks of dedicated training to make him understand the concept that a walk means he walks in front of or beside me, not sniff in a circle until he feels a tug because he’s fallen behind.)I had always heard negative things about prong collars, but in my desperate attempt to get my dogs attention I finally did some research into them, and after testing the feel on my own neck, I can say this is hands down the best training tool I’ve tried.I use it along with positive reinforcement to work on head up=good. He doesn’t tug, pull, and jump to try to get where he wants to smell anymore, he just doesn’t like the feeling, and understands that if he walks along, head up, the collar is loose and comfortable. It’s a work in progress, but this is the farthest I’ve gotten with him after a frustrating 5 months of nonstop trial and error. The quality of the collar itself is also a huge plus. I really don’t know what some of these reviews are talking about, it’s incredibly easy to adjust the size of, I did it all without even the pliers the package reccomends using. I really enjoy the rubber tabs the collar comes with and the fact it’s not a choke collar/prong collar combo, but simply a prong collar. The double d-rings for hooking the leash also help keep it extra sturdy. My only thing to say is measure your dogs neck!! The weight reccomemdations have my dog at a medium, but he fits most comfortably in a small with an extra prong added on to how the collar comes straight out of package.

Worked good for a training collar for our 60lb lab mix

  11. Jackie H

Product claims to be stainless … mine arrive with rust already on it. Very poor quality and will not fit my 70lb dog. Do not purchase
