Dog loves her freedom
This is good quality and very easy to install. My dog loves to be able to come and go as she pleases and Iâm happy to be able to sleep through the night. The cover that slides down to close it off is much better quality than a lot Iâve had. The only problem I have is there is quite a draft from between the two doors. Not sure if itâs my door?

Best purchase ever!
I got our dog door because I just couldn’t stand one more day of having to let our dogs out to go answer their phone call. It fits our small sliding door and it took a few weeks for our older dogs to get it but the younger ones took less than a week. We install/uninstall every day and night. We don’t install when the temperature is less than 40°F because it isn’t insulated.The only con is the fact the flap isn’t replaceable. That and the fact the price was raised $55 in 2 years.

Excellent product
This pet door is perfect for a sliding door in a mobile home. Nothing in our mobile home has been âstandardâ size. Glad to see the âshortyâ height. Bought one years ago that had to be modified but it lasted 20 years. Very handy with 6 cats and a dog

Perfect Door for Dogs
I live at the beach and most of the year we cannot have the doors open due to hot and humid air as well as salt air sprayed from the ocean which coats everything and ruins electronics. Our dog loves to go outside to run and play on our balconies and this door is perfect for allowing her to do that without bringing in the salt air.Set and installation was easy. I just pulled it out of the box and set it in place. To assure a snug fit you just loosen the thumb screws and let the adjustable section slide up the meet the top of the door frame and then tighten the screws back. On the side with the sliding glass door just add the weather strip from bottom to top and you get a really good seal to prevent A/C leaking out or hot air in. Taking the door out is just as simple as putting it in.As for my dog, it took all of 5 minutes to teach her how to use it. She is scared of almost anything that is new to her so I figured that this might be a challenge. It turns out that all it took was a few dog treats and some small pieces of raw meat to teach her how to push the flap open to go out and back in. Now she is a pro at it and sometimes at night from my bedroom I can hear her go outside for a little while just to check things out.I highly recommend this dog door to anyone looking to give their dog 24/7 access to the outside.

Not for 60″ Door
This is a fine product but not for my Sliding Glass Door. Once it was installed, there was not enough room for me to exit or enter thru the door opening. Our opening is only 30″, leaving, after installation, only about 15″ for entry & exit. Sorry, I can not fit thru that size opening.Once the Weather Stripping was installed there was still quite a gap when door was closed on to the installed product.

Overall I am happy with this purchase
I bought this because I live in a rental and didn’t want to put holes in the door frame. It’s pretty easy to put into your door, but keep in mind you are losing approximately 15″ of space. DON’T expect to have as much space to get through your door as before. The glass is thicker than I thought it would be and very clear. I only gave it a 3 on easey to install because, while it was easy to put in, there were several adjustments I needed to make, that WEREN’T easy.First, the gap between the slider and the insulator. You can adjust this gap, mostly, by adjusting the sliders. I looked it up on youtube.Second, the “rise” on the dog door part was too tall for my dog and not how it was in the picture when I bought it. The picture shows the dog door itself very close to the floor, but when I got it there were 2 4″ panels under it. Again, this can be adjusted but takes time, patience and work.Overall I am happy with this purchase.

Love it!
I am so happy with this door. I have a short sliding glass door and it fit perfectly. It is nicely made and super easy to install. I am a 69 year old woman by the way. It wasn’t too heavy but was well made. The trick was getting my two large dogs to use it. My older dog that is about 4 years old has mastered it pretty well with some bribery in the form of treats. My 9 month old puppy is still not convinced and still has a way to go accepting it but I’m sure will learn in time. I really am happy with this purchase.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Installation was easy but made a few changes. Put weather stripping on both edges of the insert then installed 1â X 1â blocks in the top and bottom rails to push the sliding door snugly against the insert because we donât use this door other than for the dog. Took her a few days to get used to it but now comes and goes as she wants. Our dog is medium sized so the 8â riser took some getting used to. If you have a smaller sliding door unit ie. 58â like ours and plan to use it for human egress, better go on a diet because there will only be about 10 inches left to squeeze through.

I got the large version of this for my 55lb husky to use. He is a pretty agile and smart dog, not to mention a professional escape artist, so this should be easy for him. I donât understand why it has been designed for the opening in the door to be so high to step through instead of having the bottom of the opening at the bottom of the door so the dog can just step through. It seems like my dog is having to lift his legs unnecessarily high to walk through, sometimes banging his ankles on the way. I started looking for alternatives and Walmart and Rona have versions where the opening goes down to the floor for half the price. This one served as a reminder that there are other places to shop aside from Amazon.

I love that the dogs can go in and out at will. No more rushing home to let the dogs out and jumping up and down to let them in and out. A game changer! The panel fit in easily, however as I have double sliding patio doors, one door canât be used anymore. I did not give it 5 stars as there was a gap between the panel and one door. Weatherstripping helped but itâs not a really good seal and you need to buy more weatherstripping . I donât think it will be good for our Canadian winters (will see) and if not, Iâll just pop the panel out and put it back it in the spring.Iâm very happy I bought it though and would recommend it. My dogs like it too and use it as intended after one day of being leery of the plastic flap.
