It softens with use.
I love leather leashes. They are so much easier on your hands. This one started out a little stiff, but it is already softening after only a few days use. My old leather leash lasted nearly 30 years until my new puppy chewed it up. I suggest this type of leather leash, not the doubled, stitched ones. The stitched ones are thicker, usually shinier and prettier, and never get as soft as these. If you want comfort in a leash, get this type of leather leash, be patient, give it a few days or a week or so and you’ll soon find it is the only kind of leash you’ll ever want to use

Leash thickness is minimal….way thinner then expected
Nice quality leather but the thickness of the leash was not what it looked like in the photo ….I was expecting at least 1 1/2 thick ….the leash is about 3/4 of an inch in width

Quality Leash.
This very nice leather leash that I know I will have for a long time. The leather is smooth and I know it will get softer as it ages. We prefer the leather leashes and have always found them to be better; they last longer and in the event your dog pulls, there is very little abrasion to the hand. To clean just wipe it down and every once in a while use some leather conditioner. We purchased the brown, gorgeous brass hardware and the leash is perfect for our 55lb pup. The whistle that was included was a surprise to me and to our dog. Shipping and packaging was perfect, and it arrived super fast!Thank you for a quality product.
