Great choice for a pet gate
I have had dogs for years and my wife owned a groom shop so I have experience with trying to keep dogs in or out. This gate does the job. It was very easy to assemble and install (but keep in mind that I have dealt with pet gates for years).Based on how its constructed, its pretty much fool proof when putting it inside the door frame. It has a “stopper” tab on both sides of the gate so you can install it to swing in either direction which I thought was pretty smart.If I could give it a 4 1/2 stars, thats probably where it truly ranks for me because of 2 things. The handle/locking mechanism is a bit wonky. “Unlocking” the gate using the top handle mechanism takes some dexterity and concentration. There are two different things that have to be done at the same time to get the gate lock to open – one is like a trigger on the underside of the handle and the other is a sliding piece on the top. It doesnt take two hands to open, but it isnt all that easy with just one hand if you are not in the right position – its just weird and a bit of a pain. The second thing is the height. I bought the 36 inch gate which is what I needed, but that puts the gate almost exactly at the height of the door handle. The door still closes but I have to somewhat work it closed to get the handle to clear the gate and then work it back to open the door. If door handles are all at a standard height in homes, this could be an issue for some if they want to close the door.Overall, I do love the gate, its exactly what I needed. It looks great, its sturdy, and even better, the dog can now see down the hallway. I feel that it safely closes and secures so he doesnt have the run of the house if I’m gone. For the price, I havent found anything better and highly recommend!

Great buy
We purchased this to keep both the grandkids and the fur babies contained. They work so well and are the perfect height. Easy to install and great quality. We have 3 and they are a life saver. We recently broke one (our fault) and man was it a rough couple days until we received the replacement. I will say if you’re on the fence, its well worth the cost.

Fantastic Gate!
This gate is a lifesaver in my home to keep my dogs out of my living room and kitchen when my babies are on the floor playing. I love how tall it is so my Australian Shepherd cannot jump the gate, which she would do with standard baby gates. I do have to say that when you install it, make sure you use the wall screw in cups. This keeps the gate in place if/when a dog jumps up on it. Otherwise it can get pushed over. This gate is high quality for the price and the color is gorgeous. The latch is also very easy to open one handed and secure.

Good, but not carpal tunnel friendly
Itâs a pretty good gate, very tall, and looks nice. My only thing I dislike about it is that you have to do a squeezing motion on the latch at the bottom trigger with your index finger and pull the top button back with your thumb. That motion can be very painful if youâre like me and have carpal tunnel.

Elegant design and easy set up
I recently began fostering for my local humane society and needed a gate to separate the foster kitties from my resident cats. I was drawn to the aesthetics of this product and it did not disappoint: the bronze finish and arched top make this a very elegant looking gate which is great since it’s become a permanent feature in my household.Do measure your doorway before ordering to ensure a good fit. To me the gaps at the side were wider than I wanted without the extender but the doorway was too narrow to use it. So I got creative and added a scratching post on either side. The bars are narrow enough to contain a 4 pound kitten but smaller babies can slip right through. It’s perfect for larger cats though.I like that you don’t have to screw it into the door frame to keep it in place as the adjustable bolts hold it securely. It also means that I can move the gate to another room if needed without leaving damage.Other features that I love are the single handed lock and the fact that the gate opens both ways.In summary I would say that this gate is not only attractive but functional and user friendly too. I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely buy again.

Stickers took longer to remove than the whole thing took to put together!
We purchased two of these gates to keep our labs out of our bedrooms while we are at work. They are very nice and went into the doorways a breeze. Sturdy construction. We didn’t use the door jam protectors because they required screwing into the jam itself when the tension rods held the entire rig was tight enough. Again, we’re using them for dogs, not babies so that step was unnecessary for our needs. The reviews here aren’t wrong, the stickers were a pain. I found that out when I installed the first one so I removed the second gates sticker while it was unassembled to make it easier. I covered it with a piece of packing tape and tore it off quickly to take the glossy part off. That left the glue exposed which I then soaked in Goo-Gone. Let it sit for five minutes and then scraped off what I could. The glue is crazy next level and still left behind a goopy sticky residue that refused to budge. I couldn’t leave it like that because it would only attract dog hair like nobodys business. I took boiling water to it which dissolved it enough for a washcloth to finally wipe it away, totally ruining the wash cloth. What’s hilarious is that the other sticker on the unit (the one telling you to expect a gap during assembly) peeled off a charm! Again, all of this is much easier when the gate is unassembled and lying on a flat surface. I installed the first one before I knew that the sticker was going to be such a colossal pain in the ass. Despite the hassle though and the cursing of the glue gods, the gates are worth it. They look great and will keep my doggers out of places they shouldn’t be when we aren’t home.

3 months and it broken.
I have had this item since September 21st. Today a weld must have come undone. This is the gate door, so I cannot use this as intended anymore. Was using it to coral my dogs into specific areas when necessary. Loved it until this happened. I was going to give it a 4 but it is broken.

Gate is tall and very sturdy. I had no trouble setting it up. It came with an extension but I did not need it for my doorway. I bought it for my cats and it is working great! It’s a beautiful gate, love the arched top on the doorway. Highly recommend!!
