after more than 6 months of daily use
After more than 6 months of daily use, I can now give an honest review. (don’t you hate reviews from someone who hasn’t tested the product yet?) I highly recommend this Crown Paws retractable dog leash. I’ve got 40 lbs of pulling beast at the other end, and this leash never fails. After all this use, it still retracts perfectly and never binds. My only complaint is that it does not have a ring on it to attach doggie bags. This was easily solved with a small zip-tie.

This is a quality product, and I bought it after my new puppy chewed through four cloth retractable leashes that I had as a legacy from my previous dog. I’m a slow learned, but finally decided to get this one for her. However, my little twenty pound puppy can reach a fairly high level of speeds when allowed to run out the entirety of a retractable leash, obtaining enough momentum to either rip the leash out of my hand or nearly bowl me over. So I’ve been keeping her on a non retractable stainless steel leash she can’t chew through. This is a good leash, though, if retractable is what you are looking for.

Snapped and broke
We don’t use this leash all the time, we have a non-retractable one we use most of the time. So it was still in pretty new condition when we used it outside the other day. However, it snappd and broke off at the end that attatches to his leash, and he took off.
