So well designed!
Oh wow, I love this carrier. So many well thought out features.1) itâs got lots of ventilation! Mesh on many sides plus the mesh seems more breathable than other plastic-y kinds.2) itâs a nice compact size. My dog is only 6 pounds and doesnât need a huge one.3) itâs expandable on top and on one side. Low enough to fit under plane seats but can easily pop up for more space. Genius!4) lots of openings. Almost too many to keep track of!5) some zippers have a clip lock for extra security. Nice touch!6) the orange accents are really cute. All black can be boring.7) the pad is thin so it doesnât take up a lot of space but has dense foam padding. And itâs white so itâs easier to see my dog inside. It even extends to the side part when expanded out. When not, itâs on one wall. Again, makes it easier to see my dog against the white background. I love that.8) luggage trolley strap!!! A must! And lastly, 9) pockets. This thing is so well designed! Very good price too. So glad I found it.

Absolutely Love It!
I love that it collapses flat. When expanded, it is just perfect with the extra extension of space at the top that is sometimes needed to make my dog more comfortable. I feel it is well-made and easy to store or carry around without being expanded all the time.

ðï¸ Compact and Functional Pet Carrier with TSA Approval but Zipper Issues
â Why Trust This Review:I needed a TSA-approved pet carrier for small travel pets and decided to try the pidipiti TSA Approved Expandable Pet Carrier. Hereâs my detailed experience with its features, build quality, and usability.âï¸ Quick Summary:The pidipiti TSA Approved Expandable Pet Carrier offers a compact design with thoughtful features like multiple storage compartments, expandable sections, and a detachable strap. While itâs functional and airline-friendly, the subpar zippers detract from the overall usability and quality of the carrier.ð Design and Build:⢠Material: Made from durable fabric in a sleek black color with orange accents for a modern look.⢠Size Options: Available in two sizes; I chose the 17â x 12â x 8â version, designed for small pets under 10 pounds.⢠Handles and Straps: Includes two fixed handles and a detachable carry strap for versatility in transport.⢠Expandable Sections: Features a pop-up top for added height and a side expansion for additional space, though these expansions may impact the carrierâs ability to fit under an airline seat.⢠Pet Pad and Bottom Feet: Includes a detachable, Velcro-secured pet pad for comfort and four protective feet to enhance durability and protect the bottom of the carrier.ð§ Practical Use:⢠Airline Compatibility: Fits under airline seats with 8.5â9 inches of clearance, making it suitable for small pets.⢠Storage: Multiple zipper compartments provide ample space for pet essentials.⢠Comfort: Best for small dogs (6â8 pounds) or small to medium cats under 10 pounds; the expandable sections allow temporary comfort during layovers or downtime.⢠Zipper Functionality: The zippers are a major drawback, often catching and feeling rough, which can be frustrating during use.âï¸ Advantages:⢠TSA-approved design fits under most airline seats.⢠Expandable sections provide added comfort for pets.⢠Includes a pet pad and protective feet for durability.⢠Multiple compartments offer convenient storage for essentials.⢠Lightweight and easy to carry with handles or a strap.â ï¸ Considerations:⢠Zippers frequently catch and feel low-quality, reducing ease of use.⢠Limited space makes it suitable only for small pets under 10 pounds.⢠Expanding the top or side sections reduces airline compatibility.⢠Velcro-secured pet pad may shift during use.ð In Conclusion:The pidipiti TSA Approved Expandable Pet Carrier is a functional and compact option for traveling with small pets. Its thoughtful features and airline compatibility make it a practical choice, but the poor-quality zippers may cause frustration, limiting its overall convenience and appeal.ð¡ Buying Guide:⢠Ideal for small pets under 10 pounds, such as small dogs or medium-sized cats.⢠Verify airline dimensions to ensure the carrier fits under the seat.⢠Be prepared to handle sticky zippers during use.â FAQs:⢠What is the weight capacity? Designed for pets under 10 pounds, such as small dogs (6â8 pounds) or small to medium cats.⢠Does it fit under airline seats? Yes, as long as the seat clearance is 8.5â9 inches. Expanding the carrier may impact compatibility.⢠Is the pet pad included? Yes, it comes with a detachable, Velcro-secured pet pad for added comfort.⢠How durable are the zippers? The zippers are functional but prone to catching, which can be frustrating during frequent use.âð¼ Final Thoughts:The pidipiti TSA Approved Expandable Pet Carrier is a convenient and lightweight solution for traveling with small pets. While the expandable sections and thoughtful design make it versatile, the zipper quality holds it back from being a truly standout carrier.âï¸ Star Rating: 4.3/5This review was written by U N O V I S I O N, where we focus on providing honest and detailed reviews to help consumers make informed decisions. Very nice design but small end entry and awkward trolley sleeve. Beware first class seatsâ¦
I really like the design of this carrier for allegiant airlines size requirements. I enjoy that the top expands so that the dog can turn around in the bag and pass the turnaround test if the check-in people make you do that. I have had them make me do that onceâ¦I have a 22 inch four wheel rolling, hard side, carry-on bag, and I can set this bag on top using the trolley sleeve, but itâs a little awkward and you really need to use the top straps to provide leverage by putting them over the handle on the rolling bag or you need to loop the long strap around the handle of the rolling bag to prevent it from tipping with the dog inside it. You will see what I mean when you start to use it. I do like the very firm base inside the bag.REMEMBER THAT IF YOU ARE TAKING A PET CARRIER ON A PLANE YOU STILL ONLY GET TWO CARRY ON BAGS (ONE IN THE OVERHEAD AND A SMALLER ONE UNDER THE SEAT) THIS IS A USA FEDERAL THING, NOT AN AIRLINE THING. SO THE BAG COUNTS AS ONE OF THE TWO EVEN THOUGH YOU PAID A PREMIUM TO TAKE IT ON. PREPARE TO CONSOLIDATE OR CHECK THE EXTRA BAG.Most airlines let you count it as your personal item because it goes under the seat, but you better check.Normally I want my dogs to go in and out the side of the bag. The end of the rectangle side that will face you when you are in the airplane (like they are going in and out of a dog kennel) but this bag has a really small panel on that side to let the dog in and out. I donât really like that about it. I would prefer that that were a bigger panel, but I can see why it isnât because the bag has metal reinforcement on the sides and I donât think itâs possible to make that panel bigger. So, I have to put my dog in the top, which is OK,especially with the expanding top.The bag that I use on bigger planes does not have a top entry (sturdibag). My middle sized Boston terrier is about 15 pounds and she is kind of long but she fits in the bag just fine and she can stand up (without lifting her head completely) turn around and lay down comfortably. Under the seat with the top popped down, she can turn around if she crouches and scoots⦠but I pull her out from under the seat and check on her frequently so she can turn around and stretch if she wants. My 19 lb Boston doesnât fit well enough for comfort. She can fit in the bag and turn around with the top popped up but she canât stand up. She has to stay lying down or crouching. She would probably pass the check in people if they didnât inspect her too closely, but I wouldnât chance it. Plus it is not nice to her⦠at all. My tiny 10 lb Boston is no problem. She can run loops in there.Someone wrote that they did not like the carrier because it did not fit under business/first class seats. That is a common problem with all business class seats. They are quite low to the ground, but typically they are not going to kick you out of business or the plane if your carrier fits their standard size requirements for the coach seats. They will just allow you to hold it in your lap or something until the plane takes off and then you could put it on the ground by your feet until landing time. (Been there and done that with the much bigger but more squishy sturdibag). Depends on the flight attendants of courseâ¦. Yes, holding it in your lap is probably a big no no but what else are you going to do? You canât put an animal in the overhead⦠dogs have died that way. So as long as it meets the airline size requirements, I am sure they will work with you in first class. Plus you can hold babies in your lap⦠and not pay for themâ¦. Hmmmm.

Perfect for allegiant!!
I am able to travel with my two Pomeranians thanks to this product. It fits nearly all measurements and has a pop up tent for them too. It is 3 inches shy of the width allowance, but NO pet carrier anywhere offers that width of 16 inches that they allow. Super happy with purchase!! Durable and even has two pockets!! Lots of breathing room with the mesh sides and top. I also bring a fan with me for them.
