Very sturdy but takes practice
These are nice, weighty scissors and I like that they have the blunt end so there won’t be any severe accidents if my dog moves suddenly. The loops also sit nicely on my fingers, and do not cause any problems with rubbing, nor fatigue. However, my dog is very nervous, so if there is something stuck in his fur that needs to be snipped out quickly, I find it difficult to accomplish using these scissors because of the curved end. Even when I’m giving him a a quick trim while he’s distracted with a peanut butter mat, I find it hard to use these because of the curve. It just feels very unnatural. I’ve seen plenty of professionals use them, so maybe I’m not doing it correctly, but I’m just not sure what the purpose of the curve is. It just seems like straight scissors are more familiar and much easier to maneuver. Perhaps that’s a personal preference.

Seems strange that these are so hard to find in pet stores!! They are a total necessity if you have to groom your small dog.

These scissors work well. Iâve already used them several times on my maltipoo and cairn terrier. Great price.

After purchasing a set of curved pet scissors from a site in another country that were rough and would hardly cut, I decided to give these from Amazon a try because of their generous return policy. Thankfully they were of a much higher quality and I will give them a try once I can get my puppy to let me anywhere near him with scissors.
