What is the adjusted size of the cat door?
Level 1: 7″x3″, enough for kittens, dwarf rabbits, chinchillas and other pets to pass through.
Level 2: 7″x5″, enough for adult cats and small dogs to pass through.
Completely Closed: Prevent all your pets from passing.
What if I accidentally misoperation cut the zip ties before installation?
Don’t panic. You can use zip ties to re-tighten the two posts near the door lock opening and install the baby gate.
Is it normal for there to be a gap between the door lock and frame before installation?
Yes. Gaps between door lock and frame are normal and will be resolved after installation.
How wide should the gap in a door lock be kept after installation?
After you have completed the installation, please check whether the gap in your door lock is within 2 mm. If not, please tighten the bolt adjustment.
There are no threads in the hole. Is this normal?
Yes. Our gates are designed with a pressure-mounted, which means there are no threads in the holes. This design is intentional to ensure easy installation and flexibility in relocating the gate. Rest assured, this is normal and safe!

Installed Easily and Works Great
This gate installed within minutes and functions as intended. It is well made, sturdy, and has more than ample room for our cats to pass easily through. The gate is easy to open and shuts by itself flawlessly. For the money, I feel this is a great product.

Easy to set up and works as expected
We just got the gate and were anxious to get it set up. With a new kitten, our dogs have been always trying to get the food. This is the perfect divider between laundry room and rest of the house. It gives the kitten a way to eat in peace, use the litter undisturbed, and will work well for keeping him from darting out the door when the dogs come in and out. Currently, he’s so tiny that he can fit between the wall and the gate but I’m confident that he’ll get bigger and that won’t be an issue forever. So far, it’s serving it’s purpose. This was also super easy to install, isn’t too heavy but feels sturdy. The locking mechanism (gate) is easy to handle (open, close, swing) and gives an open to leave open if wanted.Overall, this product seems to be worth the money spent. Will update if there are changes.

Fantastic gate for spindle banister sided stairs, hands free close and latch.
FIRST: DO NOT take off the zip tie that holds the gate together until installed!!! They mean it, this is a spring loaded pressure seated gate. If you cut it before installation, it will push open at the top of the gate and you will have to sit on it to re zip it and get it back to squared off position.This is a fabulous gate. I use gates to separate the dogs from the cats (laundry and stairs). I wish I had this when the kids were toddlers. I have spindle banister and for a long time could only find gates that had pressure pads. This has 2 Y shaped brackets (which can be stretched to be wider than original by pushing the inner part of the Y against a very hard counter or metal surface). The Y brackets are used for the rounded part of the banister and then the pressure pads to be used for the squared off bottom. It is relatively easy to install. The add on brackets for extra width are easy to add and there is a support brace to keep it rigid.Most impressive is the gate itself which, once installed, just falls shut hands-free. I can have my hands full and usually it will just swing back and latch. If it stays open, I can nudge it with a hip and it will fall shut and latch without my having to set anything down. The latch is a grip release so you will have to have one hand free to get open.One note, I have a fat cat so I did unscrew (in 2 places) the bracket for the cat door and pried/removed the plastic panel from the cat window. This gave him an extra 2 inches of width (hey, when you are a 20 lb cat and running from a German Shepherd, you want to fit!). My dog cannot fit through the cat opening so I figured best to leave it open.Solid contruction. The grey color blends well.

Love this gate. Very attractive, high quality product. Purchased for 2 kittens having their room in peace & quiet to eat, and my dog out of their food and litter box. Assembly not difficult, instructions were okay, but left out how to open the man gate. Gate latches top and bottom. To open gate you press the upper handle, but must pick up on the gate to unlock the lower rod. Not explained in instructions. Other than this, no issues. Happy kitties, unhappy dog.

Perfect for sectioning off the household
I bought this so my cat could escape the family dogs when my folks come up for the holidays. Haven’t tested that, yet but I’ll know this up coming THanksgiving. But the product is sturdy, fits perfectly in the hallway, using the extension pieces. I didn’t drill to secure it and the pressure from the product itself works well. THe cat is used to it, runs through the little door as anticipated. I think it’ll work perfectly when the dogs come over as I doubt they’ll be able to jump over it so she can hide. The latch for opening the main gate is intuitive and easy and it locks secure. I bought 2 of these to block off 2 different parts of the house.

The upgraded gate is a HUGE upgrade!
The improvements made to the newer “upgraded” version are definitely worth every penny. It is really is the best and easiest baby gate I have ever used. I previously purchased the older version of this gate and it was okay (3 stars). I then purchased this “upgraded” version and it is an enormous improvement in terms of how it opens and the space for the cat door!!!! The older version required you to press a single button and lift up forcefully to open the door…but not this new version! Lightly pressing the two buttons in, the door swings open with ease which is important when you are walking through it holding a baby! The two button mechanism ensures that baby/toddler will not be able to open it… at least not for a very long while! The cat door is also a huge improvement. In the previous version the cat door slid upward creating a low narrow opening that my old, arthritic cat just couldn’t squeeze through. The one time she did get through she actually became stuck and I had to open the door all the way to let her out! In the new version, the door slides to the side creating a taller narrow shape that is much easier for animals to move through. In both versions the gate, when opened as far as it goes, will stay open and both, when pushed, will swing shut and latch on their own which are very nice features for someone holding a child and only one hand free.

Does what it is supposed to do and keeps the dog away from the cat food. Easy to lock in the cat door and the cat got the hang of it quickly. Was a bit tricky to get in as I havent screwed into wall but would purchase again.

This gate worked perfect and was quick and easy to install. Feels very sturdy. Our 12lb cats can fit without issue and 16lb baby cannot get through. It also came with extra V pegs that fit on a stair baluster.If you’re using the extensions I suggest using some painters/masking tape to hold the extension and gate together until assembled as it will make life easier.

I would give this item a 5 star review, but I canât even install it due to it missing the necessary hardware to install it. I have since ordered another one and installed it and it is truly a sturdy, well-built gate. I would recommend it.

I bought this gate to keep our puppy away from the stairs. Once assembled, it remained terribly unstable. The screw caps that tighten to the wall seem to loosen over time, and the gate buckles. Then the latch does not connect to its closing mechanism. Glad I’m not using it for a child. Would not buy again.
