Good fit Durable
Great harness my Cavalier Lucy is a artist of getting out of her harness but not this one.I also liked the bright color can’t miss her and the harness is strong durable.If you have a small pup the harnessMite be to heavy. But it is adjustable for a good fit I recommend this harness.

BEST HARNESS I HAVE EVER BOUGHT
I have only purchased BARKBAY harnesses for my dogs for the last seven plus years. I have always had large dogs, mostly Labradors and now a Pitt-Lab mix, and I find this brand to be the sturdiest and most comfortable harness to have for them. They allow me to have a good control of the dogs without putting any unnecessary strain on them. The harness are easy to slip on, adjust, and the closers are very sturdy and easy to clasp. I especially love that I can purchase the matching leash because I love to have the leash and harness match. I have bought the red, purple, pink, gray, and ocean blue, each one prettier then the other. In a few cases I have made knots in the leash to make it easier to hold and it stays tight so that I do not have to redo it. Living in New York City, the harness and the leash have been through both rain and snow and dry quickly without having any effect on the material whatsoever.I have recommended this harness to friends and have had more people stop me in the street to ask me what the brand is. The cool thing a that the next time I see them them with their dogs, small and large ones they have them on a BARKBAY harness!!!!!They are priced very reasonably which means that I can easily afford to change out the colors for each season.

LOVE THIS HARNESS! I have purchased and returned no fewer than 5 harnesses for my Boxer-German Shorthair mix in the past week, and this one, by far, has taken the winning spot!Itâs easy to adjust, itâs comfortable but not stretchy to the extent that it re-adjusts itself during wear. Itâs easy to put on and take off of my dog. It is sturdy enough to provide me excellent control if my dog tries to suddenly run after a squirrel or rabbit, and exerting that anti-pull control doesnât hurt my dog.Itâs well-made, of good quality materials, and offers cushioned padding, while still being breathable, preventing chafing and irritation to my dogâs sensitive skin.And I know my dog likes it because when itâs time to put it on for a walk, he sits perfectly still with his head in an upright position for it to be quickly slipped on. Further, he knows that when I hold it up for him to see, itâs time to âget dressedâ to go out! He also doesnât seem to mind wearing it inside. I thought the side buckles might bother him when heâs lying on his side, but that doesnât appear to be the case, as you can see in the pics.Iâm extremely pleased with this harness, and would highly recommend it to anyone!One thing I would like to mention is that I originally ordered a large and it was just a bit too snug for him, although the measurements given indicated it should be a perfect fit. It might have been something I did wrong, or maybe I didnât try well enough to adjust that one. I was just so frustrated by that time after trying so many different harnesses from a local pet supply store that I chose to return the large size of this harness and give one last try to this extra large, which I do have adjusted to the snuggest fit. But I prefer that it isnât super tight, because I want him to be comfortable and due to the design of the harness, thereâs no possible way for him to slip out of it, so the safety and control factors are still solid.My dog weighs 53 pounds, with a chest girth of 28â and a neck circumference of 17â. I love the emergency handle on the back for added control in an urgent situation, and the front and back rings were a must have feature. Additionally, the front ring sits flat against the harness and slightly recessed, which I soon discovered led to a small pocket where emergency info could theoretically be stashed!Iâve added this harness to my favorites, and Iâve followed the sellerâs store here on Amazon. Iâll soon be checking out what other good quality products they have to see if I can find anything else that would be great for my dog!

Sizes are questionable.
I purchased two of these harnesses. A X-Large for my German Shepherd and a medium for my Malinois. Neither of them fit my dogs. While I LOVE the harness e.g., construction, design, etc., the sizes are off. If you own a regular size German Shepherd or a larger breed like a Mastiff, St. Bernard, Great Dane, etc., the X-Large will not fit around the circumference of the chest to the back despite adjusting it as far as I could. I know my dog is muscular, but I thought the x-large would have fit him. Moreover, the medium does not fit my very lean and medium size Malinois so I will have to return it for a large which I find to be perplexing. The design and functionality is great, but just even though you measure your dog’s chest, especially from underneath the chest to the top of the back, it doesn’t mean the harness will fit.

Favorite harness
I have a large shepherd mix who is difficult to fit for harnesses and this one has been amazing. A lot of them fit awkwardly on him but this is the only one that doesnât ride up. Another thing that is huge for me on this one is Iâve never had a problem with the straps coming loose. Iâve bought several harnesses designed for big dogs that came loose and were a huge hazard or offered me no control. Iâve never had to worry about that with this harness. Iâve had it for years and all the hardware as well as the handle are intact. Only complaint I have with it is it sits up pretty high on his shoulders and heâs so tall that the seatbelt canât buckle to it very comfortably. Other than that I love it.

I’ve got a pitbull mastiff puppy so he’s bulky and quite strong. This harness is the only one that I could find that fits him perfectly (I bought the xl camo) plus he still has room to grow into it if I adjust the straps, others that I have bought in store were too short and/or tight even though they were xl too. The harness is sturdy and is holding up well, I’ve had it for almost 4 months now and there is no rips or stretching, and even though he wears it in the river once in a while it doesn’t stink right away like other harnesses he’s had, I still make sure to clean it when it does get too dirty but it doesn’t trap the yucky wet dog odor. This harness is also great for training if you have a strong puller/exited dog, the clip on the top gives the dog more freedom to walk but it’s still heavy duty so it won’t break, the clip in the front is good for corrections, training them to walk beside you and not pull as much, and if they do get too exited and try to run it works in a way where it kind of trips them up or loops them back to you plus it doesn’t hurt your arm so much to correct them. There is also a handle on the top of the harness which I found is good for helping move my pup up into a vehicle or if I really need to get his attention or make him sit or lay down if he gets too excited at the dog park or around lots of people.

I wish I’d bought this harness long ago. I bought the small size after seeing a Barkbay harness on another dog. It’s brilliant. I’ve tried various harnesses for my 17 month old cockapoo. Most have covered her shoulder joint, so movement was a bit restricted. She doesn’t pull, but I wanted a harness for while we’re street walking as I don’t want to use her collar for attaching the lead. It’s the first harness I’ve found of it’s kind that is sturdy, but not too heavy, and doesn’t look like a suit of armour, and she seems very comfortable in it. It’s an excellent fit. The clip fastenings are metal and are so easy to use, unlike the small plastic ones on cheaper harnesses. The handle on the top is useful too if I need a gentle restraint at times if she’s off lead. It might not be the cheapest harness on the market, but is definitely worth every bit of the price. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
