Mr. Campione presents how he communicates with dogs for the reader to learn and observe. This is not a âhow toâ book but a memoir of sorts about his relationships with canines he has had over his many years working with dogs.It is insightful and well written. A heartwarming, refreshing reminder about what it truly means to have a dog in your life.
As a veterinarian, I am asked about “training” dogs everyday. There is no cookie cutter formula to train a dog. In Canine Conversations, Pete reminds us how important the communication with our canine companions is and everything else will follow, once we learn to understand these remarkable creatures. Training dogs is not only about teaching them to do what you want but being able to communicate with them in a way that is not often spoken about. I really enjoyed the stories and could feel how committed he is to helping all dogs. I would like all my clients to read this book.

Top Notch Dog trainer
I know Pete personally and have trained 4 dogs at his training center. I currently have a new puppy , William who has already taken puppy-k classes. Today (7/23/24) we started Basic Obedience. Pete is authentic and brutally honest . He knows how to distinguish different breeds at his classes and how every dog is different in personality, energy level etc . This book is quite insightful and I highly recommend it for any dog owner.
