    Best leash I ever purchased.
Sturdy. You can easily make it a collar with the extra attached clip or clip onto a pole. Love the blue color. Good value for money. Would like to have extra cushion where you hold onto the leash.

    Great quality
Love this leash. Well made and durable. I was a little worried about some of the reviews about the clasp mechanism but I haven’t had any issues with it and it has held up very well so far with our growing 80lb boy. It’s comfortable to hold and the reflective side is nice. I will note that there isn’t any give/flex if your dog pulls but I wasn’t looking for that anyway.

    Great Leash – very durable
Replaced an existing leash the same brand when the clip on the leash broke – not carhartt’s fault. Love this lead and our 85lb dog is easy to walk on it. The dual clip makes it easy to leash him in places like breweries etc.

Don’t use the trigger clasp with the Journeyman Harness
I was going to return this at first. I purchased this to use with the Carhartt Journeyman Harness. When I attached to the harness using the trigger clasp, it quickly detached because the two attachment rings put pressure on clasp, pulled it apart and freed my dog. After playing with the leash a bit, I was able to use it when I attached the lead to the harness using the carabiner end, made a loop in the leash to pull thru the sliding D-ring to create a big open hand hold, and attaching the trigger-clasp end to the top two rings of the harness just to get that clasp out of the way. The result was a front leading harness with another point of contact at the top. This shortens the lead to a little under four feet which is nice, but having a big loop in the lead might not be your ideal way to walk your pet. I uploaded a video to show how I do this. I will say, that even when we walk like this (and there is little or no pressure on the trigger clasp attached to the top of the harness since the carabiner attached to the front is doing most of the work) the trigger clasp will often pull apart and I will discover at the end of the walk that he’s only been attached to one ring of the harness the entire time we’ve been out. My dog is generally good on walks and doesn’t pull unless we see a squirrel or feral cat – then it’s game over. I wouldn’t even feel safe attaching that trigger clasp to just one ring on a collar. It doesn’t seem to take much pressure at just the right angle to pull it apart. Nice aesthetic, poor design. I have purchased the other Journeyman lead from carhartt that only has the carabiner style clasp for my dog walker to use so he doesn’t have to jury rig my dog with this lead when he takes him out. I like the look of this lead. I like that it is reflective and double layered. It seems durable, even the hardware. I don’t think I received a defective trigger clasp – I just think it’s the design and that just the right angle will cause it to open. I can even insert my index finger thru the clasp and pull up to cause the clasp to open without pushing on the trigger. If I can, so can the ring of the collar attached to my 70lb pit bull.

    Amazing
Our new favorite leash as the secondary clip that can be used to easily tie them to something like a bench is something I never knew we needed and now will only buy these leashes. They are also amazing quality

Great buy love it so much
I love this leash its nice and long so my pup and go exploring without dragging me with him everywhere. The ability to make it half its size is also very very nice. I recently used it as a running leash as well raping it around my body like a sling bag so I didn’t have to hold the leash while running with my dog. It worked out a lot better then I though it would especially since that was the first time I went running with him. It feels well made and I can’t say anything about how durable it will be over time but its made out of the same fabric as their winter coats which seem to hold up forever. I love this product would definitely recommend and would buy again if I ever need another leash. But as I alluded to before I probably won’t need another one for a very very long time.

Quality is great, reflectors are an added bonus.
Sturdy and comfortable. We’ve used this leash with our German Shepherd and it works well. The slider works great for tieing up around a pole or tree temporarily. It seems to be too heavy for our dachshund so we will continue to use her smaller lighter leash, but for the German Shepherd it’s great.
