Great crate but dont rush assembly
Our 17-pound Schnauzer doesn’t need quite this much space but I liked the look of this kennel and that it can be folded up for transport. But its not super-compact, so plan to need about 9”x24”x24” of space to store it, and its not feather-weight but much lighter than a regular metal kennel. The assembly was intermediate in difficulty for me because I think the instructions are almost but not quite perfect. The folding side bars have small sliding locks that they call “sliders” – that took a minute to figure out and the corner pieces flex so getting the end tubes inserted was tricky. I wound up pressing down on the corners, rotating the whole frame so I could feel the tubes set firmly into all 8 corners. Sliding the locking-buttons over wasn’t easy but a piece of silicone helped add grip enough and then I could fold the frame. Getting the frame into the fabric structure might be easier with another pair of hands but I got ‘er done solo and the frame opened fine, locking at each joint and creating a sturdy box shape. I actually entered thru a side panel to attach the frame to the inner clips because I’m too short to reach in thru the top. The floor is a single folding 4-panel insert, with an extra panel to reinforce it at the center and then drops neatly into the bottom. The floor mat adds structure to the kennel, but adding your pup’s bed will make it much more comfy.Reaching inside again to pop the slide-locks was easier again with a grippy silicone sheet, but then the frame collapses along the longer sides and there are two sets of buckles to keep the whole unit folded – just need to remove and fold up the flooring first, which still fits inside the folded unit. There are two handles that help you move the kennel around when assembled but also when folded. I dont know that this unit will save much more space than a steel kennel, but its a lot lighter which we like a lot.I like that there is screening on multiple sides, including the top, for plenty of ventilation. The fabric and stitching seems very sturdy, but some zippers get a bit tough to zip at the corners. I like the flooring design since it gives more padding than just the fabric, folds compactly for travel and looks easy to just wipe clean. I really like that I never have to assemble it again (whew!), but I will keep a small piece of silicone fabric in the storage pocket to help with folding it up for transport. I think its good looking too, nice black and grey combo wont be an eyesore. They did a nice job of reinforcing the corners, adding interior and exterior tethers for securing both your pup inside and the unit within your vehicle but (tbh) none of these feel as robust to me as the legit chest-harness and real vehicle-safety belt we use for our fur-baby in the car. We’ll just keep this in the truck bed with the cargo on the drive and pop it open when we get settled at our destination.Couple more notes:- the straps for securing the unit folded seem to be installed backwards, where the excess you pull to tighten is facing the wrong way – but I could still clip the buckles and cinch it up just fine.- all the mesh panels that open have velcro so you can roll and secure them but only opened all the way.- the exterior pocket is installed opposite the wider-side opening, which means we might never use it because that side is usually placed against a wall or against our RV tires at camp.Sorry this was so long, but I really like this as a travel kennel and I think you will too!

    Pros and Cons
This crate is made of a good quality material and sturdy mesh for good ventilation. It is very tricky to set up. I have other crates and travel frequently with my dogs and essentially the others just pop up for a collapsed position. This one needs a little more work but once it has been done a time or two it is OK.I have a large pup so this crate is adequate for short stays but not big enogh for an 80# dog to use for any length of time.

    Sturdy collapsible crate
This folding, collapsible dog crate is made of durable material and relatively easy to put together. The stitching and zippers appear to be solid and durable as well. I used a damp cloth to wipe down the interior prior to using (smooth plastic) and I expect the outside will also be easy to clean as the material is not porous. While it will not work for all dogs (no chewers or escapees), it is a wonderful crate for travel and hotel stays. So much easier to cart it to/from the room than plastic “hard” crates or collapsible wire crates.Ventilation is great which is a primary concern for me as my dogs are double coated and even in a chilly hotel room they have a fan blowing into the crate. The top, one end and one side are mesh; you roll the material up to expose the mesh. As with most if not all soft crates, you do have to roll the sides up all the way to secure them open.I have no plans to use the crate outdoors but for those that do, the side pocket will fit collapsible bowls for food and water. There is also a built-in “safety leash” to attach to your dog but I do not recommend using this feature; no reason to tether your dog inside a closed crate much less create a choking hazard.

Perfect for at home or travel!!
This animal shelter has all the features you would ever need and is very high quality!! The bottom is like silicone coated fabric and is very thick and puncture proof. Also because of the coating its super easy to clean really well. Its vented a ton and the mesh feels extra thick like it will hold up to clawing no problem. There is a thick folding base and the frame itself collapses so it can be super quickly broken down and transported. Zippers are nice with thick tracks and assembly is super straight forward. I put mine together in less than 5 minutes. In my opinion its the perfect size for large dogs and cats if you want a large place for everything a cat needs. Nice pockets on the side. This is the best travel animal shelter ever!!!

Nice, big, lightweight crate but difficult to put together
This is a nice big kennel, plenty of room for a medium sized dog and acceptable room for a big dog for a limited time. It’s very lightweight compared to standard metal crates. The covering is quality material and there’s plenty of mesh windows for visibility and airflow. I like that it has a nice floor but will still add a bed. I like that the top can be fully unzipped as it’s a real pain to try and change pads from the doorway. Unlike others I recently received this playpen/kennel must be fully assembled from scratch. I got two others where the frames were already in the cover and they just had to be unfolded. Like the others this comes with a nice carry/storage bag.Couple of things kept that last star away. The instructions while good need a better explanation of how the side pieces should be laid out. I had to take it apart, twist and turn the long side pieces for a few minutes before I got it right, put it back together. Secondly it really takes at least three hands to get all the pieces in place inside the cover, especially if you’re shorter like me (5’3”). Lastly while I like that you can keep the windows rolled up I don’t like that they have to be all the way up to utilize the Velcro stays. Straps with Velcro that let you keep the windows partially closed would have been great. This has also been cat approved. I feel that the current $80 price tag is fair and I can recommend this. However if you’re single and short I suggest you look for something a little easier to set up.
