Excellent quality for less than $50
The functionality of this is excellent! It folds and unfolds easily, and has a hook to secure it closed. Thereâs a handle on each side, which folded makes it super easy to carry, and when open all allows, you to either use those handles to secure it such as to stair railings, and to Adjust and maneuver it on your vehicle. We are not using it for a vehicle but as a miniature dog ramp for our front stairs. They are a gentle slope, but the stairs themselves are taller than the dog and sheâs getting old⦠I found it looks extremely sturdy and weather resistant because I canât see any real parts that would cause a problem! If your stairs are very steep or this needs to stay a very long space like from the ground to a tailgate, it has extendable legs in the center that give extra support. It comes with two black straps with carabiners that can be used to attach the dog ramp to the latch system! We use those to attach to our stair railing and it feels very secure! Itâs lightweight to move but heavy enough that when it is on the stairs, it doesnât move around when my dog walks up and down., The sturdy build of it and the nonslip coating. I love the best! Itâs a pretty rough surface and gives all season all tread for your dog. Mine seems to like it!My dog went out today and itâs raining and she use the ramp with no problem. My only feedback for the company is I wish the slip cover the entire ramp, it currently does not cover the landing or the curve at the top. My dog is so tiny. Itâs kind of a big step for her only 3 pounds. She tries to jump it thinking itâs slick. Donât may be to her. I think I will just get some nonslip outdoor stair treads and cut them to fit and put on there but overall I definitely like this ramp!

Good reliable product, light weight
Purchased the ramp for my 85 pound German Shepherd as a preventative measure because he is jumping in and out of my van many times a day. The product is light weight and easily foldable and movable and supports his weight. The product is sturdy and works well. I believe this will help prevent future problems as he ages by easing the stress from repeatedly having to jump in and out of van.

Good with some modifications
We purchased a Honda CRV and it was too tall to lift our 45LB Basset Hound. He first tried this ramp and was not happy with it – his paws kept slipping and he clearly did not feel comfortable with it. It was too slippery and the pitch was too steep for him to use without a lot of assistance.So I modified it. I glued down squares of rubber shelf liner and I cut a foam noodle in half and then glued pieces of the noodle to the ramp using silicone sealant. We just tried it out and he was able to use it much more easily. I kept a grip on his harness as he ascends and descends because the pitch is still pretty steep. But he is able to use it without much help from me.I like that there is a secure strap for the top to keep it from falling off the back of the car and the arm braces add extra security. It is lightweight and sturdy and it folds up easily for carrying. With the extra modifications, it works nicely. I think an extra couple of feet would be nice to make the pitch a little less steep but it works okay.

Doesnât fit
I was not able to use this product. It stated that it could be used for a side door. This is not accurate, at least for my vehicle. Itâs too wide and bulky. Itâs also a very long so trying to use it in the garage would not have been an option. I would have had to back my car out and then bring the dog out, which would not have been helpful in the rain or snow. I started a return, only to receive an email from the seller stating it would be $15.97 to return it and to not use the label Amazon provided. The seller then offered to credit me $15 to keep it. So I did. I did receive the credit and now Iâm attempting to sell the brand new ramp. Not worth it unless you are using this for a pet to get into the cargo area of your vehicle.

I liked this product for the ease of setting up and the traction it gives however the leg braces are not too stable

Dog Ramp
This is a fabulous product and a must have for a large dog. We have a 130 pound Great Pyrenees dog who we take with us on road trips. The ramp is sturdy and easy for our dog to ascend and descend when getting in and out of our Honda Odyssey. We are so very happy with this product.

This is a large ramp for a large dog
If you have a small car and a not so large dog you donât need this ramp. Seems to be well made and my 116 pound XXL lab has no problem getting in and out of my 4 Runner. It folds in half and has carry handle that makes it easy to move and store. You can easily walk a large dog into the back seat or onto a truck bed. Nice slip resistant surface very basic, simple product that does what itâs designed for and fairly lightweight, sturdy and easy to fold and store.

Some dogs will not be able to use this ramp or others like it
I will not recommend purchasing this item. If asked, I will describe my experience with the item, which has been provided to Amazon and the seller.âBought ramp to assist 45-lb, 12-yr-old dog with getting up two 7″ steps to back porch. He tried it and his back legs kept slipping off the ramp over the side rails. I was afraid he could hurt himself if he tried it unattended and if this happened.Suggest advising it should not be used for dogs with a physical impairment that limits their mobility. Also, buyer should check to see that this ramp is wide enough for the dog that will use it. While the ramp is described as being 16″ wide, the walking surface is only 13″ wide. Also, the height is given as 5.5″ but the side rails only extend 2.5â above the surface of the ramp.âI requested a refund from Amazon, which was acknowledged with a pre-paid return shipping label. The item has been returned and Amazon has processed a refund.
