A great choice for older dogs with arthritis!
The ramp is very easy to use and folds so that it fits well in the back of the Jeep. There is a handle on it which makes it easy to carry. The ramp is carpeted so it is a non-slip surface. It’s much better than another ramp that I’ve had for several years; and, my dog likes it because she has some arthritic discomfort and doesn’t have to jump into and out of the Wrangler, which is high off the ground!

Well made ramp
I donât hand out 5 star ratings automatically. Every one is earned, and this ramp has certainly earned it!Sturdy, solid, and folds up into an easily storable âsquareâ. My dog was wary of the previous one because it had a wobbly feel to it. Not so with this one. After a couple up and downs into our SUV, she doesnât hesitate to run up it.

This review is for Dog Ramp for Car, SUV, Truck, and Vehicle â Portable and Adjustable Dog Ramps for Small, Medium, Large Dogs â 71″x17″ Folding Dog Ramp with Anti-Slip Rug Surface, Outdoor Large Dog Ramp Up to 270LBSMy oldest dog will be 17 years old soon, and his age, combined with my recent transition from a sedan to an SUV, necessitated a ramp purchase. I’ve tried multiple products, but he just won’t use them. I got this product hoping he would be amenable to the gentler slope that comes with a longer ramp.What I like:- The way the handle is incorporated is pretty clever, and the handle itself is easily accessible, as well as robust.- The padding is textured enough that my old dog doesn’t slip around like he normally does.- The ramp is lightweight enough that I, a female, can handle it by myself. It’s not a one-handled operation, at least for me, but it’s not over cumbersome either.- The folding feature allows us to take the ramp wherever we need.What I wish were different:- The padding being a different/contrasting color to the metal frame would help old dogs with vision problems more easily see the edge of the ramp. Black on black just means my dog doesn’t see the edge until he’s slipped off. If not for this, I would have given the product five stars.

An extremely well built ramp that’s a joy to use
Our old van had a rather low floor, where the side door opened. Our newer Dodge Journey has a MUCH higher entrance – about 30″ high!My only solution for getting our beloved boy Buddy (his name) into our vehicle was this ramp. My wife & I can no longer pick him up safely…we are getting old and so is our dog! We were fortunate to find this ramp and I was overjoyed that I could implement a safe way for our dog to get into our vehicle.The ramp is lightweight, on spite of having a fairly thick, square tubular frame. The carpet that covers the ramp has plenty of texture for a dog’s feet/nails/paws to climb without slipping. It just works great!The whole ramp folds in 4 places to form a ~16″ x 16″ square that is ~8″ thick…looks like a stack of books in sitting inside the hatchback.This ramp is light enough that my wife or I can easily carry it, unfold it for our dog to use & then stow it in the hatchback. The top part of the ramp has a leg/prong on each side to hold securely to whatever landing area/surface it needs to be rested upon to achieve egress on the ramp.It’s also quite strong. I’ve placed my weight (~180 pounds) plus my dog’s weight (~35 pounds) on this ramp and noticed no flexation at all…it could probably support twice the amount easily, if required.Using normal handling practices and basic common sense, there are no overtly hazardous features on any of the ramp’s joints/hinges. It’s a very basic & clean design.We opted for the shorter model. I calculated the height of the vehicle & the length of the ramp to determine the angle. Deciding that 30° or less would be within most dog’s ability to climb – we made our choice.I find this device to be very safe & well made. I certainly can recommend it to any persons who need some help getting their dog – small or large – into their vehicle safely. Definitely, this is a well thought out design that is well worth it’s price point.

This ramp is great for my older dog. Itâs sturdy and lightweight, and the anti-slip surface helps with traction. However, itâs a bit bulky even when folded, making storage slightly inconvenient. Also, while it says it holds up to 270 lbs, it does flex a little under heavier dogs. Still, it gets the job done!

very sturdy and easy to fold
I use this to get my folded-bike into the suv. The bike is heavy as I’m getting older, harder to lift, so with this ramp I can guide it up into the car more easily as I travel to rail-trails. Maybe one day I’ll adopt a dog and use it for that as well. The ramp doesn’t take up a lot of space once it folds up
