Updated Review:Below was my previous review. Glad to say Dr. Harvey send a replacement and I am so glad I gave it to my dog. All his kidney level came back as normal on his follow up blood test today. I used Dr. Harveyâs kidney supplement, his Coenzyme Q10, Epakitin, probiotics and Hills veterinary kidney diet.Hope this review helps and gives hope to a pet owner facing kidney disease. I had lost already two to kidney failure so I know how hard it is figure out what to do. Attached are both the before and after lab reports.Old review:Scared to give it to my dog as the jar was not sealed and the plastic strip had been broken. Since there is no return or refund I will have to simply throw it out and look for an alternative product to purchase. Was very hopeful to try it but who knows why it was opened.

Amazing!!!
After reading the reviews I decided to give this a try and am so glad that I did! My little Chihuahua is sleeping all night again without having to get up to pee and she is peeing less frequently. So happy! I have been trying to get further away from canned dog food after failed attempts with the renal food. I started cooking for her and right now we are doing a little canned dog food with ground turkey and sweet potatoes mixed in that I make and I just sprinkled this on top and as long as I stir it around she eats it no problem.

My girl liked it!
I was hesitant on this purchase because some reviews leaned in the direction of , “My Dog didn’t like it.” Well, I am glad to say, my girl liked it. On the other hand my other dog wouldn’t touch her bowl when I tested to see if she would eat it mixed in. This dog eats anything but she sniffed her bowl and walked away. Good thing the Kidney Support Supplement was not purchased for her. I purchased a second tub and when complete, I will take my girl into the Vet to see if her kidney numbers improved. That will be the real test of Dr. Harvey’s Kidney Health Kidney Support Supplement. I will update this post with the results. I hope it works.

For 17 year old with stage 2-3 kidney failure
[Updated April 14,2020:] I bought Dr. Harvey’s Canine Health food for my pup because I was having a hard time keeping up with her nutrient needs based on her kidneys and making sure I had the time to make her meals. With Canine Health and the kidney supplement together, my dog is literally fighting the bowl for every last lick. Her body is shaping out again and she’s regaining energy with every passing day.—————-I bought this for my 17 year old silky terrier who was diagnosed with kidney disease. My vet told me I only had 1-2 weeks left with her. Heartbroken and in denial, I went to the internet and came across this. I make my dog’s food with some mashed sweet potato, boiled carrots and peas, eggshell powder, and cooked lean ground beef. My dog barely licked at it and I was lucky if I was able to force at least an ounce of food in her a day.My dog had been pretty miserable: lack of appetite, fatigue while eating, and just sad hobbling all around. Until I added this kidney supplement to her food. Something about the smell triggered an interest in food, and for the first time in weeks, she was actively munching away. Maybe she knows it’s good for her.I have no idea how this will affect my dog’s prognosis, but I’m just happy that she actually ate and had a real interest in the food. My dog never really grew up eating wet food or even kibble, so when she lost interest in chicken and beef, it was a big red flag.The directions on the container is easy to follow. The scoop might be hidden in the powder itself, so dig for it if you don’t see it at first! It has a nice cinnamon smell to it, it’s easy to mix in to food, it definitely gave my dog her interest in food again. I will also be permanently switching to Dr. Harvey’s Canine Health dehydrated food as well.

If you have a large dog and have to give him five people teaspoons of this at every meal itâs a small container and too expensive, also if Dr Harveyâs other foods are as good as they say, like his canine health why does he need a supplement??

The supplement came in good condition. Previously bought from another seller and the powder didnt appear to be fresh. Realize how seller store the product is very important. My dogâs regular supplement for the past one over years as sheâs on various medications and supplements.

I really hope this product helps support my 10 year old morkieâs kidneys. Recently diagnosed kidney disease. She does not like the taste but sheâs a very picky eater. I give to her using a syringe and mixed with water.

I donât know for sure if this product works or not yet. My dog Roxie has high kidney counts that I want to be proactive about. Thought Iâd give this a try. Iâve sprinkled some over her food and she wonât touch it. She is not usually a picky eater. Iâve even tried even using cheese and she wonât go near it. Hopefully Iâll find something to mix it with that she wonât turn her nose up to. If Iâm able to find a way for her to take it and notice a difference in her, Iâll update.
