Best All-Around Locking leash
Actually got this for the pupper to have flexible range at the beach. Even with saltwater and sand exposure, it’s held up. That’s not to say you should dunk it or bury it, but a little wear and tear won’t break it. Even a chomper (albeit uninterested) didn’t do any damage. If it does get water in it, it drained well. There were a couple times that the sand seemed to give it issues with locking/unlocking and it took a minute of lock/unlock/tugging to retore it to its normal function (hence deducted a star). I do worry about it rusting inside, and it doesn’t have any easy dissassembly. But it feels wellmade, the leash itself feels like solid construction rather than flimsy cord that could snap.

Works Great
First off, I have no complaint at all with this leash. Both me and my dog really like the extra long leash in it. It gives him much more freedom to do his exploring but only when I allow it I have learned the hard way that the only brand of retractable leash to buy is the Flexi brand. Anything else is junk.

clicks when the dog pulls
i’ve had many dog retractable leashes that have lasted for years. I bought the large one of these for 110 lb dog. My dog is actually 60 lbs. It works great. The only thing that bothers me is when i have it locked and I want to keep my dog maybe 5 feet away, it clicks every time my dogs pulls. it’s very strange and i’ve never had that happen before. if you play music while you walk, or stuff like that doesn’t bother you, then it is great.

Good and quality product. The resistance on the leash is a little strong for my 10lb dog. Our workaround is that I just pull the tape out fully, lock it, and let him run around. Then I zip it up for tidy storage.

WORLD’S BEST RETRACTABLE LEASH !
The FLEXI retractable leash is the best, because it comes direct from the inventor Manfred Bogdahn in Germany. I am a former employee of this company and know exactly how those leashes are made. This leash is the most reliable you can find on the market. My dog is a Dutch Shepherd Mix and used to be a pretty wild guy. Unfortunately we have to keep our four legged babies on a leash at all times. Now that he is 13 years old and not that wild anymore, I decided on the FLEXI with 26ft. belt length. What a difference for his freedom of movement. I highly can recommend this leash and all others from FLEXI !!!

This is my second Flexi leash and I have nothing but good things to say about them! My last one I’ve had for over 4 years but it recently stopped retracting, probably due to my dog constantly pulling at it while it was at its most outstretched and it got dropped on the ground and in the water a ton of times…..so the last one took a real beating! I bought this with the thought that the quality of the leash is superb and I am not disappointed! It’s so smooth to retract and the length is a HUGE selling point! My dog doesn’t know how to walk anywhere so she constantly wants to run. When we go for walks, she will run to the end of the 26 feet and then sit and wait for me to catch up to her, then she takes off running again (She’s so silly! lol). The color is phenomenal and the construction is very sturdy and is so comfortable to hold, even if my dog pulls hard. I can’t say enough good things about this leash. If you’re looking for a retractable leash, you will LOVE this one!
