The gate was easy to install. It had detailed instructions, but I did not need them keeps my grandson who is two years old from going up the stairs worth every penny for the safety.

Solid product
Seems like a quality item, relatively easy to install. It appears that although Grownsy offers a warranty, the qrcode takes you to a form that is unsubmittable and asks for manufacture month and year without directions on where to get that info. Nonetheless, Couldnât submit warranty info â¦â¦ convenient(eyeroll)

Excellent Dog Barrier
Perfect gate for our purposes. We wanted a gate that was slightly transparent gate/barrier to put inside our mudroom entrance to our kitchen. This is the small room between our backyard and our kitchen. This is the stopping point where we wipe down the dogs and our feet before coming inside.This gate is the perfect option. It took 5 minutes for my son in law to install. The gate is put together with sturdy materials and I can tell it’s not going anywhere and can hold up to our rough and tumble family yanking on it and slamming the retractable mesh boundary open.The gate, when expanded allows some light to pass through but is fairly solid, I can see shapes on the other side but I don’t think my dogs can really see through it if that makes sense which is exactly what I wanted.The retractable mesh barrier is not going to hold a persistent pup or small child. I have a metal gate type barrier on another entryway that we usually keep open most of the time. When closed the barrier is very difficult for my dogs to get around/over. This version would be easy for my dog to push up to get under if they really wanted to – My boys don’t really test boundaries so it works for us but keep that in mind.These baby gate/dog barriers can be very expensive, I know – I have several. This model is both affordable, easy to install, easy to operate and well made. I highly recommend it!

This gate was easy to install, and easy to open and close, not sturdy as the wooden gate, but it does the job as I needed it.

Baseboard adjuster really helps
This gate is a great height for a typical dog (mine can’t jump this high) or toddler, and it fits across a standard hallway or a doorway with some room to spare. The spring keeps good, strong tension and clipping/unclipping it from the J hooks is easy. I don’t love the J hooks in my actual hallway installation, where they’re facing perpendicular to the retractable mesh instead of in-line with them, but I don’t think they designed this for that specific use-case (and it has held up to constant use for several months now, so I guess it’s alright).The really great thing about this design is the adjustable-height mounting bracket, which you can slide up to dodge the baseboards if your wall has them. REALLY important to me that something temporary shouldn’t be permanently modifying the house, and this design lets you avoid cutting that baseboard molding. It mounts nicely upright and feels good and solid. My big dog respects it, so it really isn’t flimsy. When you need it out of the way, it rolls up into an amazingly compact vertical cylinder that doesn’t impede hall traffic. Love it.
