   Just what I needed!
   I bought this product to protect my entry doors from the wrath and joy of my little rescue dog. When the doorbell rings, Max claws at the front door and jamb in a fury, trying to get to whoever dared to ring the bell. Also, when I return home through the garage, he claws at the laundry room door and trim in excitement. My wooden doors were originally stained a dark color, which hid the evidence of his scratching pretty well. However, I recently painted the doors white, and realized Max was likely to ruin the new paint if I didn’t take some precautionary measures.I looked at several similar items on amazon, but the Clawguard seemed to offer the best protection to both the door and jamb. It is very easy to install by slipping it over the doorknob. I haven’t used the Velcro stabilizer yet, since the paint needs 30 days to cure before sticking anything to the door. However, it is already having the desired effect. I hung it with the smooth side to the door, and Max doesn’t like the sound or feel of his claws on the textured side. Even if they didn’t bother him, the Clawguard is designed in such a way that he can’t push or scratch it out of the way of either the door or jamb. Of course, I do need to point out that Max weighs only 15 pounds and doesn’t have the physical force of a larger dog. But for my purposes, the Clawguard works very well and is doing exactly what I hoped it would: keeping my energetic boy from ruining the doors and trim.My front door opens inward, which makes it very easy to use the Clawguard. My laundry room door opens outward, which requires a bit of maneuvering to close the door behind me as I leave. However, the Clawguard is flexible enough to allow me to gently push it inward as I close the door. I used strong scissors to trim the upper corners, rounding them off a bit so they don’t catch my clothes as I walk by.This product has certainly saved the appearance of my doors and trim. I’m pleased enough with the performance and durability of the Clawguard that I hope to purchase a third one soon to protect my back door after painting it. I would recommend this product to anyone having a problem with their dog scratching their doors and trim.

   YES.
   This thing is minimally invasive and absolutely awesome. It’s a great way to keep the dogs from chewing and trying to get out because of separation anxiety. Here they have already stripped off the interior door molding strip before I purchased the product.This is the third one that I have purchased and each one has lasted me about a year because I have power chewers over here (if you have the kind of dog that destroys any toy in 0.2 seconds flat, then you have a power chewer) and eventually these bear-sized dogs do chew through it but this thing is really terrific and I love it.If you have a dog that is not a bear, I’m sure this thing will last you a lifetime.

   Does Protect the Door Sort of
   Bought it to protect my front door from scratches when I need to leave my dog home. It fits great and does protect the door from scratches…sort of. I like the quality and fits the door well. It’s just figuring out how to keep it attached to the door so my dog cant get between it and the door.

   Not worth the money. Dog took it down easily.
   Don’t waste your money if your dog has separation anxiety and wants to open the door you install this on.I purchased the Clawguard to prevent my 1-year-old poodle mix from scratching the paint off my bathroom door. He has separation anxiety and tends to bark, whine, and scratch the door (on and off) for 20-30 minutes max before giving up and falling asleep.I installed the product on the inside of my bathroom door and secured it with the tiny velcro adhesive (provided) as instructed. I left my dog in the bathroom for about 2 hours. When I came back, the Clawguard was on the floor with bite marks on one side, and the velcro adhesive that was stuck to the door was no longer there. The product does not hold well on the door as my dog obviously just bit the side and pulled it down. If anything, I think the flimsiness of the plastic exacerbated his anxiety and caused him to fight more to get the product off the door handle. The “noise control” option does not control noise at all. It just means that you can install it with the smooth side of the plastic facing outside so your dog’s nails don’t scratch against a rough surface. There will still be a gap between the door and the plastic, so if you or your dog push against the guard, it’ll move back and forth and make a sound if it hits the door itself (imagine the sound of plastic hitting a hard surface over and over again). A small piece of velcro isn’t going to keep the guard in place.The concept was good (simple installation, no hardware for anchoring, etc.), but the design definitely needs work. As it is today, the product is definitely not worth the $25.

   Great solution! Saved the door & wall from more claw destruction!
   Easy to slip over the lever door handle-I did not have to use any sticky anchors as the material is sturdy enough to stay in place. The large size covers the deadbolt knob but I just reach over the plastic to lock the deadbolt-no problem. We just fixed the wallboard & painted the entire inside of the house so I really was worried & not sure if this would work. Does it work? YES! Our dog tried to jump up & scratch once or twice after I hung it on the door handle, but found it to be not worth her while. The plastic covers the door & wall area that she was destroying. She simply does not like the cover! She still runs to the door to greet us or let us know someone is outside but she does not jump up & claw the door or wall anymore. She’s no longer wary of the plastic monster, she just ignores it. This has changed her behavior pattern! At some point I may try to leave it off to assess whether her prior behavior has truly been eliminated. For now, it stays! Definitely a worthwhile purchase!

   Serves its purpose
   Ok it did good for a while and it served its purpose but I was hoping it’ll last a year or so cuz our dog is bat crap crazy… but like in one of the pics it cracked right where I the door knob thing is … trying duct tape on it see how it do me and the dog … don’t wanna spend another 40 bks on it ….

   Creo que es demasiado caro para el tipo de plástico que es, además no se adapta a todas las puertas ni cerraduras, tuve que modificarlo para adaptarlo y dejé de usarlo porque estorbaba mucho en la puerta, no recomiendo esta solución la verdad.

    Pocas veces escribo para recomendar un producto.Se acomoda perfecto a la manija de la puerta. Se adapta muy bien al tamaño de la puerta y puedes ponerle un velcro discreto por si no quieres que se marque tu puerta (eso sí, el que viene incluido es de pésima calidad pero puedes conseguir uno bueno a un precio barato).Mi perrita border collie dejó de rasguñar la puerta al quedarse sola en casa.Me arrepiento de no haberlo comprado antes.

    I had to buy so.e extra velcro to hold it in place. That said it does save me from painting the door from my dogs scatching the paint. I’m happy with the product
