Calming Chews for Dogs She Likes It…
We have a Great Dane and since she is a rescue, we had no idea how she was treated. When we first got her she was afraid of everything! She has now been with us 6 years and has done a great turn around. She still has problems with certain things and with just pace and pant when she is upset. One of those things are cop shows. At first we thought it was just the beeping because she had been trained with a shock collar and all we could think is they must have shocked her A LOT. Experimenting with different shows and sounds it seemed anything with harsh voices or sounded even close to police set her off.We tried other hemp chews but they didn’t work, so we got these too try. So far she does seem to be a bit more relaxed. She likes these much better than the last ones too. For now it’s 5 stars, will update if things change. Would recommend for now.

Hemp calming chews
This is a plastic container containing 15 0 calming soft chews. Chicken flavor. Everything is clearly labeled on the container.You do need to refrigerate after opening as stated on top of the container.Each two is about 1 in Long and about a half inch thick.They do have a chicken type barbecue Smoky smell.In a six dog household, everyone was a fan and was literally hounding me to try one.They work very well as far as car rides, visits to the vet or when company comes over and they are overly excited

Calming chews
I have given my dog two doses of these so far and I have to say I didnât see as much of a difference even with the specified dose. Maybe itâll take a little bit more time to see if it does anything. He does like the taste though and eats them no problem

Hemp Chews for Dogs
I have given my dog hemp supplements in the past and they have worked well for him. These seem to be working great and my dog loves the taste, so win-win. They are a US formula and are a great buy, especially if you have a small dog, as the recommended dosage is by weight. Overall, a good supplement at a reasonable price.

These little bone shaped treats have gone down well with our dog and they certainly appear to be doing a job for us.Heâs three and his anxiety seems to be getting worse, howling if someone leaves for work, constantly on alert if someone gets off the sofa, or moves around the house or gets up in the night. He seems to pad around more at nighttime too, not completely settling.Heâs been having four of these a day for a week now and heâs happy to take them too. Whilst I donât think these are a miracle cure (he has been seen howling when we leave) the night times seem more settled, and he doesnât seem to go quite as mad when the doorbell rings or people come home from work – he seems to be settling quicker. So, problems not cured completely, but arguably eased with these treats. At just under 10p a treat, itâs not bad value if it helps to settle your pooch.

I have a very anxious mini dachshund and I am always looking for ways to help relax and calm her, so I thought I would try these hemp calming chews. They are small enough for her to eat and enjoy very easily. We have been using them for a little while now and she does seem a bit calmer. She is sleeping a little better and is not so reactive to every little noise. I think that she enjoys the taste – I ordered the chicken flavour. With 150 pieces in each pot these chews seem good value for money, especially as she only has one or two a day and they seem to work well. I will re-order these in the future.

These are first and foremost a delicious treat for my dog. It is no good if they do not like the taste of them. The calming effect is also good. Taken when a stressful situation is coming up they are much more relaxed with the situation. I would purchase more of these for any dog that is easily stressed or anxious, it also does no harm to a non stressed dog who just wants a delicious treat at the same time so they don’t feel left out.

I’ve tried so many different hemp products for my dogs to no avail. But these, these are potent. The ingredients must be high quality as after 30 minutes, just like stated, my dogs were in a calm state. My frenchie not so much but my labrador, I’ve never seen him so chill. And it lasted for at least 7 hours, maybe longer as I went to bed. I really am impressed with these. My labrador weighs 33kg and I gave him 3. My frenchie weighs 12kg, I gave her 2. They smell great, so I’m sure they taste delicious. I would definitely buy these again when they’re finished with these. They’d be great for fireworks night etc. Really god value for money.

I got these calming chews for my dog because he gets quite anxious during car journeys and when there are fireworks. Heâs a medium-sized breed who can be quite nervous in new situations, so I wanted something to help him relax without knocking him out completely.The chews are a decent size and easy to give, and my dog seems to enjoy the taste. I was worried he might turn his nose up at them, but he takes them without any fuss. The texture is soft enough to break in half if needed, which is handy for adjusting the dose.As for effectiveness, they do seem to take the edge off his anxiety. Heâs not instantly calm, but he is definitely less shaky and restless when he takes them. On particularly stressful days, like fireworks night, they help but donât completely stop his pacing. I wouldnât rely on them alone for extreme anxiety, but theyâre useful as part of a calming routine.One thing to note is that they have melatonin, which can make some dogs a bit drowsy. My dog didnât seem overly sleepy, but I can imagine it might affect others differently. Also, while the tub is generous with 150 chews, you do have to give multiple at a time depending on the dogâs weight, so it may not last as long as expected for larger breeds.Overall, a useful product that helps but isnât a magic cure for anxiety. Iâll keep using them, especially for travel days, but Iâd still pair them with other calming techniques for the best results.
