Terrific extra wide dog door!
This was incredibly easy to install! Very sturdy. I love that the flaps should be replaceable when they wear out but they seem very sturdy to last a long time.I also really like that there is no metal which would create condensation in the winter. This seems very well built and will last a long time.

Easy installation
This was my first dog door install. This door was so easy to install thanks to the detailed instructions and templates for interior and exterior. Very well thought out with little guess work. The installation turned out looking great.

Best of all wall mounted doggie doors sold in Amazon. Period.
We tried another doggie door that has a lower sticker price. I assume I canât mention the brand but I did review it after returning it.This door is solid and well constructed. Itâs has a nice weather proof liner around the entrance on both sides, keeping out the air. The other brands have a thicker (yet flexible) door flap, but it doesnât seal to the entrance and I could literally feel the air flowing into the house past the areas that didnât seal back to the entrance. Not only that, but there wasnât a weather seal around the entrance so air flowed past the gap between the flap and the entrance. This doorâs flap is far more flexible, which allows it to go back into shape against the door entrance. One other thing we learned about what we wanted in a doggie door was one high enough that our dog didnât have to do the army crouch through the tunnel. This door is a bit big, but it allows our Chi-pin (Chihuahua / mini-pin mix) to go through with ease.Itâs flap is also easier for him to open because it isnât such a thick/heavy plastic like the other brands. With the thick plastic flap, he had to paw at it for a few seconds. With this one, itâs one stroke and he feels comfortable entering the tunnel. They have you measure the dog height from the floor to the shoulders. Thatâs fine if the dog likes to do the army crouch. It seems a bit uncomfortable for our dog. There is another flap option: solid plastic divided into two or three pieces hinged together. Our neighbor went with a door like that. The dog doesnât like to go through it even though her dog is a German Shepard/ Healer mix. It frightens her a bit. Took me a lot of work to train her to go through; and even then, she still was hesitant.SUMMARYWhile this doggie door was perfect for our Chi-pin, I canât guarantee it will be right for your dog; but, here are the things I learned were important deciding factors:1. Door Size. If the size of the door matters for appearance reasons, then go with the smaller door that forces your dog to crouch a bit; otherwise, if your dogâs comfort and acceptance of using the door are important to you, this door is a winner while not compromising weather resistance and durability. We would have preferred a slightly smaller size. This door is over 14â high and our dog is 12â , but we needed the more flexible flap and better weather resistance.2. Flap Material. If your dog is more delicate like ours, then you want a softer/flexible flap like this door has. If not – and if not spooked by the hard plastic door flaps – those are the most weather resistant. They definitely give you a solid seal at the entrance. Not a fan of the middle ground where the flaps are a thick plastic. They get warped by being bent by use, so air gets past them. They simply arenât weather resistant for practical reasons. These are only good for owners who arenât concerned with weather resistance but have dogs who wonât accept the hard plastic option. Even then, why use them? The one Iâm reviewing Is simply better.I hope this helps someone. I sure could have used this knowledge up front.

NICELY MADE
I am very happy with these pet doors. I bought for my cats. It is very well made. What I really like is that the plastic flaps, which are a good weight, can be removed easily for training your pet if needed. My cats wouldn’t go through both flaps so I removed just one and they got the hang of it.

Good product…my dogs love it

Unfortunately this product does not seal properly. The flaps stay open on the sides when the flap closes letting air pass into or out of the house.THIS PRODUCT IS DEFINATELY NOT MADE FOR CANADIAN WEATHER !
