Great training addition, Easy to use
You can issue one of 3 cues (a tone, vibration or shock) by pressing the corresponding button (no need to switch a dial). The intensity of any of those cues is separately set, easy to see and easy to change. We trained our dog to understand that a tone cue means “Come”. A vibration cue means “No, stop whatever you are doing”. And the shock button is only used rarely as a follow-up, if the cue for “come” or “no” is not obeyed. We had already previously trained our dog to understand the word “Come” which we would almost always reinforce with a treat. Our dog also already understood the word “No” from previous training before we got the training collar. So when we got the electric training collar, we only needed to pair the tone with the verbal command “Come” frequently, until the dog understood that the tone meant the same thing as saying “Come”. And whenever the dog was doing something wrong, we would say “No” at the same time we pressed the vibration button, until the dog understood that vibration means “No, stop that”. This phase of training was done when the dog was close enough to us that we could physically intervene and stop the inappropriate behavior. We never used the shock during this initial training phase as it would be unfair when the dog didn’t yet understand the new cues. Our dog only very rarely needs a short mild shock to reinforce the tone or vibration. (Which I tested on my own hand to determine if it was mild). The manual for the device also explains how to determine your dog’s tolerance level, so that you can set the intensity levels for vibration and shock appropriately for your dog, which we followed. We principally use the device at a very large (20+ acre) Dog Park , when the dog is too far away to hear us call “come”, since the dog can easily hear the tone on his collar and understand we want him to come back to us. Or if the dog is at a distance from us at the park and doing something inappropriate, such as jumping up on a person, we can issue a vibration to remind the dog to stop that behavior. It works great. We also like that the sound made by the tone button can be modified (not by intensity or loudness but rather by the sound itself). It can be a clicky sound or a pure tone sound – there are eight choices. This is particularly useful if you have other tones in your dog’s life, for example, an invisible fence collar or a training clicker. You then can choose a tone on this device that is different from those other devices, to avoid confusion. Many of the less expensive training collars share a button for shock and vibration and you have to turn a dial to determine which cue you want to issue. This makes these collars much less useful as it slows your ability to give the appropriate cue relative to what the dog is doing. This training device also has the advantage of having a charger that can charge both the collar and the transmission unit at the same time via a USB port or via an electric plug. This means we can charge it at home or in our car or when on travel. The only 2 things I would change on this device are (1) I wish there was a protrusion on either side of the buttons to avoid accidentally pressing them when they are in my pocket (there is a lock feature but that button can be accidentally pressed also) and (2) I wish the collar did not make such a loud sound when you turn it off, (I wish it only vibrated like it does when you turn it on).

    Nice training collar
This collar works great! My dog stopped responding to his original collar so I bought this one. I’ve only needed to use the vibration mode at the lowest setting! Glad to have the higher settings and shock mode just in case they are needed. Charges quickly and the charge lasts much longer than his previous collar. I like the small profile collar, it’s lightweight and my dog doesn’t mind it at all. The remote is easy to use but a bit bulky for putting in your pocket – the lanyard attachment is helpful though.

    Durable and Reliable
This product is an excellent training tool and I love that I can “beep” my dog if she travels out of sight. Offers the dog some freedom while giving me peace of mind that I can call her with a gentle beep or vibration. This worked great for us to train our dog to stop jumping up when meeting people and to give her a stern “no” when the dog attempts to eat something that will make her sick.Thank you Invirox!btw, they have excellent customer service

Few minor complaints but over all a very very solid product!!
Absolutely awesome E-collar. I’ll talk about the pros first and then a few cons I hope will be improved on..Pros: I have been a long time sportsdog user but honestly this collar blows sportsdog out of the water. Obviously it’s a fraction of the cost, which is nice, but more importantly the stimulation options are really what makes the difference for me. Three separate buttons for Sound, vibration and shock is a huge win. And on top of that all three can be adjusted a ton. I’ve always hated the fact that with other collars i’ve had to jump strait to using the shock if a dog isn’t listening to a command or is doing something wrong. Sometimes the shock just isn’t justified but if its all you got then its all you got.. With this collar I’ve trained my pup that it will first hear the audible warning.. then the vibration (which it really doesn’t like) and if both those fail, then the shock… 9 times out of 10 i don’t have to get past the vibration before any bad behavior is corrected. Im not anti shock collar (obviously), but I dont love the idea of shocking my dogs all the time if i don’t have to so this drastically cuts back on the use of the shock. And on top of that with 99 levels of shock I can really fine tune the shock intensity to be just enough to be effective without it being way over the top..Cons: One of the main features that caught my eye was the light. I run alot at night so when my dog comes with me it would be awesome to have Her light on. Unfortunately the light does not actually stay on. It only stays on for as long as you hold the button down. From my reading of statements from the company, this is supposedly intentional? I guess the idea is that by leaving it on it will drastically reduce battery life.. Which makes sense, but Im totally ok with that if it means my pup is more visible. Not a huge thing, but i do feel like the advertising was a little misleading..Second complaint is that I wish the audible sound could be quieter.. Its very loud even at the lowest level. I appreciate the louder volume options for loud environments but there are also environments that I dont want the entire world to know that I’m giving my dog a warning. The noise on the E-fence collars we use are hardly audible to us but gets my dogs attention everytime without fail. Again, not a huge thing, but just some constructive feedback from an otherwise very satisfied user👍Highly recommended product overall!
