These Iris plastic pens are getting hard to find. I wish that were not so.They are sturdy and versatile, light enough to take with you to events and easy to set up and take down.I own about 4 of them and would like a few more. You can use them to block off kitchens, make play yards. They’re easy to clean- just take them outside and hose them off.With 20 years of rescue work I have bought many pet enclosures. This brand is the best.

Iâve been meaning to get a playpen like this for a while now for my two male Chihuahuas, Benji and Gizmo because for some reason, they would always pee right on the corner edge of the potty pad or sometimes even miss it entirely and then I would wake up to dog piss on my hardwood floor and would have to go through the frustrating and very annoying process of putting on gloves and I would have a stack of paper towels that I have already torn off the role in sheets of one and two and fold it on top of that, and then getting down with the enzyme cleaner and going through that whole process. And like I already said, it was very annoying and on top of that I was using so much paper towels on cleaning up their mess.So, I already had in mind of creating like a fenced area for them to go into that I would lay down potty pads that would fit in there exactly, so there was no missing and getting on the hardwood floor and ruining them.But before I purchased this playpen, I came across the product âsprinkle and sweepâ just randomly online, which I highly recommend to anyone because it is so awesome and I wish I wouldâve found it sooner unlike this playpen, which Iâve been looking at from time to time and going back to it, and thinking about getting it, but then not cause I have this thing that I do always when I buy some thing off of Amazon. For example, when I was looking for this playpen, I created a list called âdog playpenâ and look through Amazon at bunch of other similar types of play pens with the door and then I will compare all the ones that I picked out with one another and also use Fakespot just to make sure. So sometimes when I have the idea and want in need of getting a particular thing, it ends up, taking me forever and a lot of the times I just get really frustrated and unsure and then give up and then finally forget about it, lol. (I mean everyone knows, you just never know when you get some thing off of Amazon, so I have that habit of doing that with everything that I buy because Iâm just trying to make sure that Iâm getting the perfect right item that isnât going to be made of crap. But, oh my God I am literally going through this realization as Iâm writing this review but I guess in the past when I wasnât happy with some thing that I purchased from Amazon and I never had a problem returning it or getting a refund, so I donât know why I trouble myself, and go through all of that, when I should just pick out what seems to be what Iâm looking for and if Iâm not happy with it, I know Amazon will take care of that as an I can return or get a refund or get a new one sent to me or whatever. Because just recently I just had my package stolen from me and I had no idea that Amazon will ship you a new one if your package gets stolen so I guess thatâs an fyi for ppl out there that had no idea about that because I didnât.)But, yes, back to my reviewâ¦. lol.I was going back-and-forth between this model, and the other one thatâs cheaper that and looks like itâs made out of like chunkier plastic, like the fence panels are thicker and chunkier unlike this one that looks more polished and just overall not as I guess âcheapâlooking, lol.And honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this playpen. I freaking love it, it was easy to put together, so easy by the way. I think Iâve read some reviews complaining about the assembly part and I think those are just people that really donât get around to using tools or putting things together much, lol, so honestly, just ignore those reviews, haha.For people that are wondering what potty pads Iâm using inside itâs the Amazon brand, Iâm pretty sure the giant size and it fits great, I have to use two pads obviously, but itâs the perfect size because I wanted it to be big enough that it would come up a little bit and make a border like it looks like in the picture because male dogs usually lift their legs and if they happen to go against one of the panels and pee then it would definitely get on the hardwood floor (like it did the other day, but that was my fault because I forgot to change the pad and you know how dogs usually will avoid stepping on potty pads that have been used up so gizmo ended up peeing halfway in and halfway out where the door is and getting a little bit of pee out onto the hardwood floor but like I said, that was a one time occurrence and it was my fault completely because I forgot to change the pad to a fresh new one when itâs time.)So, yeah, anyone looking for a playpen with a door in this particular size, then definitely go ahead and get this one for sure because itâs awesome and it works great. (^_^)

This is a great product for new puppies. Product instructions show a âGateâ and how to install but my box did not have a Gate included.Each section can easily be installed and connected with the white pole rods that slip inside the black sections.You can attach it to a separately purchased Wire Kennel Crate so puppy can sleep in the crate and go out to relieve herself in one area of the black playpen.This playpen did keep my 20 pound 3-month old puppy contained while I was away from house for 2 hours; however, the puppy jumped on it and the hexagon shape to start with was in a long rectangle shape when I returned homeâ¦.with puppy still safely inside pen. (Placed on wood flooring)The black sides are a durable, thick plastic.Plastic is lightweight for ease of assembly and carrying, high enough to keep pup from climbing outâ¦at least for now at this size and age.I was pleased with this product.

Small dog play pen
This product is a light weight plastic 4-panel pen that is adaptable to multiple scenarios. You can assemble as a 4-panel playpen and use for small dogs with a gentle demeanor like my Shichon (10lbs). It works for him. It is easily assembled that didn’t take long only about 30 minutes. I put my on a hardwood floor so it doesn’t slide at all due to the rubber grips. Other uses for this would be to gate off a particular room if you wanted to limit access to certain parts of the home. Use three panels for this. I will probably take this to a home I am visiting as I can take it easily in the car. This product is ideally used for one or a couple of small dogs to be together with toys, bones, and a blanket/bed. I could also see it being used for a pregnant dog/mother to be with her newborns too. The only thing I would change is the white posts to brown to match the brown pen.I can understand if a puppy or dog has a tendency for mischief that it wouldn’t work for them unless you put a top on it. I would recommend a crate for them bc they will probably climb out any open top enclosure unless it is corrected behavior. I used to have a dog like that. Also, this is not really for potty training since it doesn’t have a bottom. You should use a crate for that. I read other people were having issues with it collapsing, I haven’t had anything near to that. Mine hasn’t moved even if he jumps up on it. If I had that problem I think it would be a simple fix.

We have a Chihuahua puppy who is nearing 8 months old. She has been crate trained, and we anticipated that at around this age she would be fully house trained and able to be left out of her crate when we left the house, as was the case with the previous two Chihuahua pups we raised. However, she doesn’t seem to be getting it at all and is living up to the “Chihuahuas are hard to house train” stigma. I have been using my lunch breaks on work days to come home and let her out halfway through the day for a break, but can’t keep doing this indefinitely so we wanted to buy her an exercise pen so that she has a little more freedom and isn’t locked in her crate all day, but my house is still safe and she is still safe from things as she is still a puppy. The price on this was right, $40 rather than $100+ on many other exercise pens, so we gave it a go. It arrived faster than expected and is perfect for her. She weighs a little over 5lbs, and as you can see, her crate fits inside with the door open and she still has plenty of room to come out and stretch her legs, get a drink, or play with a few toys during the day. She has never been much of a climber or jumper, and so far we’ve had no problem with her escaping (I read some reviews about puppies climbing out, and needing to add a roof). Yes, it’s plastic, but it’s a very thick sturdy plastic and the hinges and door latches are all metal. It puts together very easily, and comes apart easily so we can take it on the road if we need to. I was worried about it sliding on our hardwood floors if she jumped up against a wall to be let out, but it comes with little rubber feet for the bottom that do an amazing job of keeping it in place – it’s difficult for me to just slide it when I try. She jumps up when we come home and it doesn’t budge. Highly recommend. Would work for “larger” small animals – guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. but smaller ones like hamsters or gerbils would easily get through the bars.

Really well-made and easy to put together. Size is perfect and my 4 month old Yorkie who’s a naughty climber can not climb out of this one! Sturdy and secure and easily foldable if needed. Great product and wish I bought it sooner.

I like the the adaptibility. Instead of using it as a play pen as our puppy figured out how to jump out of it, we have been using one of the sides as a gate. Our pup hasn’t figured out she can knock it over. It definitely worked as a deterrent. I however wish it was taller. Even though our pup is small, she is a Wheaten terrier mix with a mini schnoodle and is a big time jumper.

We absolutely love this little pen for our new Havanese puppy. It is the perfect size for her and I don’t have to feel like she is in a small cramped space when I leave her in it. There is lots of room for her bed, dishes, and toys and she seems to enjoy the time she spends in there. An added bonus: we have a mini van and when she travels with us, I just fold the back seats into the floor and the pen fits perfectly in the back. It’s a perfect little home away from home for her on any road trips. Couldn’t be happier with this wonderful product!

For 8 panels which I bought I need 16 bottom supports (2 for each panel) but got just 8 – 2 packs with 4 (as shown on the attached photo). Please send me 2 missing packs. Without them I cannot use this panel. Thank you.
