I have several of these that I bought or were given to me by my daughter after their pups were grown and didn’t need the confinement. I use them outside ALL the time for lots of things. Mostly however I use them to fence off areas that I want to keep the dogs or wild rabbits OUT of. They have lasted for years except the connector rods. Those rods rust and are hard to get in and out of the connecting channels so I bought on Amazon some fiberglass stakes for gardening. They are smaller than the channels so slip right in. I bought some that are too long so I can push them down through and into the dirt to hold the panel somewhat upright and some the right height to just connect the panels. Mind you, these are not heavy duty panels and would not stand up to a full assault of rabbit, deer or dog but my dogs only need the gently reminder to stay out of the area.I also have used them in a shaded area in the chicken run for a “jail” for my chickens when they need to be confined to a pen either to break a broody cycle or because they are recovering from injury that would have them pecked by their fellow chickens. I cover the “jail” as they could jump right out (usually by just laying another panel over the top and typing down just a bit and maybe a few leafy branches in gaps) but again, they don’t need anything heavy duty. They are happier because they are still “in the chicken pen” but protected.The BEST thing about these panels is you configure them any old way you want, most any shape you want. You might have to add a little support here and there but for convenience, cost, effectiveness, configurability these are 5 star. After gardening season or when you decide to move something, you just pull out all the rods and stack them out of the way. They have survived a couple years now outside with not signs of deteriorating other than the rods which I am replacing as I need to.

Great product.
Works great for my Cocker Spaniel. Sheâs about 18 lbs. Heavy, well made plastic. Good quality gate with hinges & latch. Easy to set up and take down. I use it both inside & also during camping. She is safe & secure. Definitely recommend this product.

Sturdy Pen
So I’ll start off with I used this to hold my baby Akita. In the video, he’s about 2.5 – 3 months old. For more exact reference he is 28 lbs here. This pen was surprisingly easy to assemble – literally it’s just the heavy duty plastic doors held together by large easy-to-insert rods. The only slight work you’ll do is adding the mini gate door which also was a breeze and bonus: the door swings with ease, latches work great, your dog will not get out of the door. Pen has plenty of space and it’s great as a place to section off for your dog to just chill in his own corner/area. I use it for my dog to sleep in with his pillow bed, blanket, and toys and if he’s in trouble he’ll go in there on his own so he definitely recognizes it as his own safe space. He’s now 6 months going on 7, about 65 lbs now so much bigger but can still fit through the mini gate. He still has space to comfortably turn around, play a bit (think chase his tail, play tug of war with his blanket, innocent pillow puppy humping), and still retreats to this space as his sanctuary. He also can still stretch all the way out comfortably for a good nap or sleep whenever he chooses. However he is getting to the point where he’ll soon outgrow this pen (probably by 8/9 months?). If he really puts up a fuss he can knock the pen down but it does require effort on his part. Consistent repeated effort lol. The octagonal shape is key to keeping the structure upright and even if your pet knocks against the plastic walls the pen doesn’t fall easily. Overall it’s been fantastic. :)Would not recommend if you need a pen that easily transports between different households or locations. It is very sturdy and a bit too heavy to keep moving. Easy enough to move within one given household though. Would not recommend for kennel training bc it’s way too much space, would only recommend for pups that are already potty trained OR you could use one corner for a puppy pad but don’t know how that’d work out.

Excellent pen for a medium (or smaller) mellow/well-behaved dog
The negative reviews have got to be about the much shorter 4-panel model, because I’m 6’3″ and I cannot step over this 8-panel model. This is a very nice pen, very easy to assemble, and the door is sturdy/useful (especially since this model is so tall). It is also just as easy to disassemble or even just disconnect one panel “hinge” so that you can enter it relatively easily. It can be separated into smaller sections and used in front of a doorway or between furniture to pen off a larger area, but just realize that if you don’t set it up right it be very easily knocked down. It is definitely the most sturdy if you use it in roughly an octagon or circular shape. It is definitely not good for larger dogs — I think medium sized dogs would be about it, and it really can’t be an active/bruiser brute of a dog, as they could easily just knock it over. It needs to be a more well-behaved, mellow dog. It’s going to work great for my little pug. I’ll be using it for when I have to leave him for longer than a couple of hours, and I will simply put his crate in there with him.I knocked off one star only because the manufacture shorted me two screws, and I absolutely despise that. It doesn’t take much quality control to count screws! Luckily, I have a good assortment of spare screws so it didn’t stop me for long, but c’mon….hire employees who can count.

All the pieces were there, great!As for comments about flimsyness, see the pictures that show you how NOT to place the pen and how it’s meant to be placed. Any shape resembling a square or rectangle DOES NOT WORK and that makes sense, the sides will fall in, can be reinforced with some wood or wire run around the outside. This is not the manufacturers fault, its common sense. The pen stands quite rigid on vinyl with the rubber feet attached. Also attached are closeups on the door components, in case you cant understand the instructions, as they are just written text and no pictures. The hinges self center when installed correctly (pin down). Assembles very fast and super easy, looks great and is exactly what we wanted! The white can be spruced up quite easily, with decorations and such. I love how quickly you can fold it up and move it or change size by adding or removing panels! Literally takes 4 seconds!

This is by far the best thing I bought for our new puppy. It is incredibly versatile, can be taken down in seconds. The door is at floor height, which is perfect for puppy, whereas most of the other pens I looked at the door was raised by at least 10cm from the floor. It is light weight but strong. Puppy can still see very clearly what is going on around them as the mesh in the panels is quite open but still close enough together to stop her being able to climb it. This was quite expensive as I had to pay import tax for it to come to the UK day still worth every penny. Please can you find a retailer for them in the UK for future puppy owners.
