1000 times better than a cone!
1000 times easier to put on your anxious dog than a cone of shame! This was super helpful and although he didnât love having it on, he was much happier in this than he was the cone. Made it more comfortable for him and kept him from licking stitches after being neutered. 10/10Also, it does have the attachments to attach to his collar but we didnât use that as I donât keep a collar on him regularly (just a harness when going outside) and it stayed on him just fine.

Cute
Itâs cute and it sorta does the trick. My dog is able to get his foot around and continue to scratch his face. If this had a plastic guard around it itâd be perfect.

Great fit & it’s so cute too
This was much softer than I expected & my little girl needed something she could recuperate in comfortably. She fell asleep quite easily while wearing it & it kept her from getting to her stitches (she was spayed). Great price, value & quality! Definitely recommend.

Dog repeatedly took it off her head effortlessly.
This was an absolute useless purchase for my 6 month old puppy who just got spayed. It stayed on her only when she was heavily sedated and when she was heavily sedated, she did not need a donut collar. Pictures of her with it are from Day 1 (still waiting for the anesthetic to wear off). She was on Acepromazine for 10 days. First 2 days, she was either too spaced out or just soundly asleep. She made a snoring sound when she had the donut collar on, and my husband said she seemed uncomfortable. So, we took it off of her when she was sedated. By the 3rd day, she was back to her normal, rambunctious self and we had to give her the sedative as prescribed but that was only once every 12 hours, took an hour to kick in, and lasted about 2-3 hours. So, for 8 hours, we had to keep her from getting to the incision sight. For this purpose, we purchased this donut collar along with a surgery recovery suit. She quickly learned that, by putting her paw inside of the donut, she could easily slide it off her head. This is pretty easy for dogs with longer legs (German shepherd, Doberman etc) to do while it might be impossible for breeds like English bulldogs. So we basically played the game of âON AND OFFâ 50 times between long bully sticks and other things that interest her because peanut butter filled Kong and marrow bones were too small/short for her to comfortably hold and chew/lick on with the donut around her neck. She also could get to the very end of the incision sight with this collar on, very easily. This would have been an issue if she was not wearing a recovery suit.On Day 6, I was checking on the laundry when she took it off while in her crate, and put an end to it by destroying the inflating hole. She came out of her crate with the lifeless donut in her mouth, and somehow assassination of the donut excited her, so she ran around the house trying to get away from me, violating shaking her head with the dead donut in her mouth. So, she is now wearing the complimentary satellite dish from the vetâs office. It was inclusive in the spay surgery kit, and they insisted that I take it. They were right.I do not recommend this product for rambunctious, young pups with long legs. Yes, the sound of velcro getting unfastened is very loud when thatâs done right on top of her head, or by her ears (i can only assume), but I never had to do this except for the first time. I never had to take it off of her after that because she did it herself. The collar itself did not scare her because she was heavily sedated when she first saw it and everything in the world probably looked like donut in her eyes. She could eat and drink with it, but she is a slobber mouth queen when drinking water, and she made the donut wet and slimy. When she was back to her normal self, she thought it was the greatest chew toy of all time. She went after it hard. She always puts her 120% when apprehending chewriminals. Hence, it never stayed around her neck. I personally thought it looked comfortable when she fell asleep with it but my husband disagreed. She did make this funny sound through her nose, like she was choking on something.Hopefully she will not have to go through a surgery any time soon again but I will not be buying this product for her or for our other dog since it did not serve its purpose this time around.

Very cute & comfortable BUT not 100% effective
Super cute! We got it to keep our recently spayed girl from licking her stitches but if she stretches enough she can reach over the donut to lick them. We will have to keep an eye on her, which we will, but would be nice if it were about an inch wider to prevent it. Otherwise it seems very soft and comfortable for her, she doesnât cough or have trouble getting to her food bowl. Itâs very cute, and seems to be somewhat tough, but Iâm sure if she were allowed to run amuck something could happen. (It is practically a ballon)

Better than the cone that the veterinary uses however medium is a little big for a big Chihuahua

Esta doña es una buena opción si no quiere. Comprar un cono isabelino para su mascota, si. Embargo necesitará de entrenamiento para que no se lo quite, recordemos que ellos son animalitos y hay que enseñarles que es por su bien
