Choose your food, stick with it.
Our dog is a golden-bernese-doodle about 60 lbs, and love this kibble. We generally select a kibble and stick to it. We previously used Solid Gold with other dogs. We like Merrick now, as they have canned foods too, with tons of fun variety to mix in. Our dog is doing well on this, and we don’t want to change it.

I ordered this food for my 50lb Beagle mix and he loves it. The vet says the food is healthy too which makes it even better. They have different varieties to keep it fresh.

The only dog food brand we buy!
Our dog has only ever eaten the Merrick brand & we will keep it that way! Merrick was recommended by our vet. Weâve tried different flavors, but our dog seems to like the chicken flavor best. Like many things, the price has gone up significantly over the past couple years so a star off for that. Wish it was more affordable so everyone could afford to feed their dog Merrick.

Good for dry, itchy skin
We have a terrier mix (best guess) who has dry skin and a lot of hair that is also dry. He has a tendency to scratch and itch himself raw. Since switching to this food, his skin issues have been a lot better. He is still on allergy meds as needed. But, the limited ingredients and high quality of the food matter in his health. He also seems to really like the food, which is a HUGE bonus. This dog eats to live, definitely not living to eat! He eats this food and 1 treat….by choice and we’re ok with that!Also, our cat seems to like this food as well. I don’t let her, but when she gets the whim she will eat it.

My dog loves it
I’ve changed his food to adjust to his age. He had become sluggish, stiff and lost appetite. I tried many well known and respected brands, but he just wouldn’t touch any of them. Then I put out a bowl of Merrick and he immediately ate the full serving. It’s rather costly, but well worth seeing my dog (11 yrs old) eating and moving about like he used to. I just hope they maintain consistency with the product and do wish the cost were lowered.
