Easy installation , looks nice.
Materials all seem sturdy and is esthetically pleasing, doesnât look cheap and chinsy. Well worth the money spent!It was relatively easy to install. I love how professional it looks, and my dalmatian loves it! This has to be the best quality dog door I’ve ever installed. It’s extremely sturdy, well made, and looks like it’s probably going to last forever.

Great door for the price!!
Realistically, it took 2 people approximately 1-1/2 hours to install. Overall, it was very easy to install & is a good quality product. I definitely recommend this product. The outdoor step up to the door was too high for my little 4-leggers, so i had a ramp built – now thereâs no problem going outside or in.

Disappointing and Overhyped â Not Worth the Price
I gifted this MIAOTONG Large Dog Door to a friend who just moved into a new house, thinking it would be a great addition for his dog. Heâs not particularly picky, so I figured this would be an easy win. However, even he found it frustrating. The so-called âupgradedâ seals barely keep out drafts or insects, which is essential in a home environment. Additionally, the double flaps feel flimsy rather than sturdy, and the design didnât blend as seamlessly with the wall as promised.Despite being labeled as easy to install, it took him much longer than expected, and the overall functionality falls short of expectations. This is not a reliable or well-sealed dog door, and unfortunately, it’s just not worth the hype or the cost. Very disappointing.

Secure and Solid Pet Door
This Pet Door is amazing! First off, it comes in the box “all put together”! The installer just needs to have cut the hole.The door is VERY secure, The cover slides in on the frame grooves and LOCKS into place. From the 3rd picture you can see the door is equiped with a springe loaded locking system, which keeps unwanted “guests” from entering. The cover is solid secure galanized metal. NOT THE FLIMSY PLASTIC. The interior side walls are adjustable based on whether you are installing this into a wall or a door to accomodate various thicknesses. The double flap system provides a barrier for the cold or hot from entering the house. I love the fact that on windy days, no leaves will sift into the house with the double flap system!!! This door is a MUST HAVE! Look no further!!

Sturdy aluminum hardware, 5 star product, -1 * for NO Instructions or cutting template
This is my fourth doggie door (maybe the last brand, if it stands the test of time). I will update my review if something changes.Solid 5 star product. The packaging is secure. The hardware (metal screws, washers, wood screws, screw caps/covers) is prominently positioned on top in its own box. There were no instructions or cutting/ marking template provided . I have installed three other brands on other doors, so it was not that challenging for me BUT will be an issue for someone.Measure carefully on your door or wall ( this unit should be suitable for either). Remember to have a gap or step over portion at the bottom of your install.I love that you can lock either side with the provided metal plate and that the lock is a spring loaded pull lever, before lifting the plate. Being able to put the plate on either side makes for so many more placement options. Inside doors, outside doors, garage doors, walls, etc. the large size is perfect for my two rather large German Shepherds. The flaps are nice and thick, redundant (to minimize wind or rain blow through). I will update my review if I have issues with the product over time. I am very pleased with the product. I urge anyone considering this product to watch a couple YouTube videos or seek out info on proper marking, cutting, installing the dog door. This is a very nice product, aluminum, it should last and I should only need to replace the flaps every couple years (according to our past usage). Measure twice,cut once! Use extreme caution when cutting. Most remove the door from the hinges, use workhorses or something to raise the door to aid in cutting. Remember to leave a step over at the bottom of the door. Actually cut all 4 sides of the square so that the dog door frames the opening and the door’s integrity is still in place.note to company: it would be very helpful to provide a cutting template (light paper is fine). It would also be helpful to have a simple visual instructions insert or installation guide of some sort (perhaps multiple languages, large font ). Without a template the chance of someone messing up their install or door itself is tenfold and maybe a liability. Provide something useful and I will change my review to 5 stars.
