Need a quick doggie gate for a dog I was dog sitting for a weekend. It slipped my mind to buy one earlier in the week, so when do the shopping on a Thursday (doggie getting dropped off Friday), I did not have much options for gates that could be purchased and delivered next day. This was the closest to what I was looking for. I needed a gate to block the doorway that the dog would be staying in during the night. I was hesitate to purchase it as the reviews were not that high, but I was desperate and beggars cannot be choosers! So I said whatever let’s just try.I am happy to report that that it did what it was intended to do! I was happy with the product and it was a great separator between the dog and my cats.Minus one star because it was difficult learning how to lock and unlock the gate. Little learning curve, but other than that I recommend!

Not for strong dog!
The product is good for a small dog, feeble one or one who is not like a bull in a china closet! I have a 35 pound Cocker Spaniel. And she is no girlie-girl! The gate fit perfectly and performed as stated it would but not for my dog. The gate was down when I got home and I am back to square one. But this product is not the bad guy here. It is worth the money!

Great inexpensive dog gate.
I bought these for my small dog. They are completely plastic and although sturdy, not sure they would hold out bigger dogs. I have difficulty expanding them and licking into place, but they are manageable. I bought 2 for 2 areas.

Made well, but not ideal for big dogs
The gate was packaged well. I appreciate that the product is made in the USA. It was too short for what we needed, however it is a sturdy gate and is easy to use. We elected to send it back because itâs not quite what we needed to contain a larger dog. The refund arrived quickly. I would purchase from this seller again.

Works, But Super Hard to Use
We used to have gates growing up that had a handle with buttons to open and close it. I’m shocked they don’t seem to make these types of gates anymore. This seemed like the next best thing for the cheapest price.Unfortunately…it’s nothing alike at all.This gate has no handle, and you have to balance it somehow while also opening it to the right size (which is slightly smaller than the width you need) and then you ALSO need to engage the lock (which extends it the rest of the way). If you don’t get the width correct, the lock won’t work, and you need to mess with it until you get it right. You need AT LEAST two hands free to set this thing up (but three hands would be preferred). I needed this to be raised slightly off the ground so my cat can go under (the gate doesn’t feel sturdy, so I don’t want my cat jumping on it and getting hurt), but my dogs can’t. This is INCREDIBLY hard to achieve with this awful gate, if not practically impossible. I’ve only used it a few times because I hate it so much.It’s easy enough to take down, but that doesn’t help. I need to set this gate up when I leave the house for the day, so I need to leave extra time to hassle with this thing. It takes a few minutes each time.I cannot stress enough just how awful this thing is. Even at the cheaper price end, it’s still overpriced. I’m not sure why anyone gave this thing any good ratings. Nothing about it is good. I threw the box out as soon as I got it, because I needed it and assumed things would work, but I had desires to return it almost immediately. I absolutely would have if I didn’t throw the box out.I did so much research on Amazon looking for a good gate, and decided this one was the best. It turns out, there are no good gates on Amazon. Go to a real store, or a thrift store to buy second-hand. These new gates are awful to use, and flimsy enough that I wouldn’t trust it around pets that are likely to press on it. I’m sure my dogs could knock it down with ease if they wanted to.

Really like this gate for the price. Easy to install, I have mine a couple inches off the floor because of the baseboards but works great to keep my dog out of certain rooms. Easy to adjust and move, I have the length so it uses second tension notch to stay in place and pop it into the second notch to take it out of the doorway then I donât have to fiddle with the length all the time. Really sturdy and stays where itâs put!
