This barrier was made very well. I had to return it because it wasn’t tall enough to keep our kitty from jumping over. Otherwise, it’s very sturdy.

I wish weâd bought this a long time ago. We have a 2 y/o Doberman and sheâs been a struggle. My sister recommended this and I absolutely love it. Itâs very sturdy and super easy to use. Iâll probably order another one soon.

Excellent Option for Special Events/Needs
Traditional baby/dog gates are great for day-to-day use to control your petâs freedom and movement. But they are just plain tacky â made of metal or plastic and look like jail bars. These are not something you want to, for example, put around your Christmas tree or in front of a display of expensive curios to keep your pets at bay. This is where these plexiglass panels are a genius solution. They provide all the functionality but are much easier on the eyes. From a quick glance only, you wonât even notice them.They will also work well for special events such as a party when you might want to keep your pets secured in one room. Again â they look so much nicer than tacky baby gates. And bonus: your pets get full views of the party action too. See a couple of photos where I used these panels to contain my dogs away from the main entrance hallway as visitors came and went. (Note: I separately purchased an additional panel, so my photos show 4 panels instead of the original 3.)However, I donât think these clear panels make the best choice for everyday use. First, my dogs will occasionally get the zoomies and charge through the house like a runaway freight train â and itâs usually in the evenings in a dimly-lit house. Iâd be very concerned that my dogs could forget these clear barriers are up (especially if theyâre not always in use) and easily run into them injuring themselves. Even family members in the middle of the night could trip over them if they donât realize theyâre up: theyâre hard to see in the dark.Second, just like with windows or glass doors, these plexiglass panels will quickly begin to show all your doggieâs wet nose prints. Youâll be spending extra time wiping them down to keep them clean. For these reasons, I think traditional baby/dog gates make the most sense for day-to-day use: theyâre tried-and-true, functional, and low-maintenance. But when you occasionally need a more invisible barrier that looks much more sophisticated, these clear panels are a great choice.One other note: each panel weighs a solid 4 pounds (itâs thick plexiglass). So these panels will leave significant indentations in any carpeting.

Pretty solution
These pet gates have saved my home. They are understated – with the acrylic -you almost donât notice them and when you do – they are very attractive and work with any decor.

Doesnât work
It looks great. However, it does not work. My dogs (one is 12lb and the other is 18lb) quickly figured out a way to push the panels. I bought two more thinking the weight would help. No luck. I donât recommend unless you have a teacup puppy.
