Customers say

Customers find the animal stairs easy to assemble and use. They find them lightweight and suitable for their dogs. However, some customers report that the non-slip surface doesn’t go all the way down, leading to slippery floors. There are mixed opinions on the stairs’ sturdiness, value for money, size, and foldability.

This is my second purchase of these stairs
I have two Honda CRVs. In both cars the back seat is folded down and has a dog bed on top. First I purchased a ramp to allow my dog to enter at the back. It is a 6 foot long ramp folded into three sections. It is sturdy and heavy. Then I got one of these stairs. Not high enough for a back entry, but perfect for a front door entry: the top step of the stairs is even with the bottom sill of the door. The front seat is a fourth step, then my dog springs between the front seats onto her dog bed. This is NOT high enough to enter directly into the back seats with the dog bed on them. These stairs are very light weight and seem flimsy … BUT my 85 pound dog can use them without difficulty or any collapse. They can easily be set in the foot well in front of the passenger seat, or, if you have a passenger, they can be set behind the dog bed in an SUV. I used to move the stairs from one car to the other, but I’ve decided to buy a second. I like this inexpensive but worthwhile solution to taking my dog with me almost everywhere I go. She loves to ride in the car.

    Small doggy stairs
I really like these doggy stairs for my bed on the floor. Pug,Chihuahua and jack chi getting use to stairs being smaller but getting the hang of it. Very sturdy and easy to assemble , perfect height and folds easy. Will clean easy and last a while.

    good product but
it’s just as described but was a little shaky and my dog was afraid to use it. I had to put some bricks under the front step so it wouldn’t slide around.

Not the best, but would work for travel (car)
It’s not the worst, but it’s not great. The positives are that it folds which makes it easier to travel with and it’s light weight. My first pet stairs was very similar to this and worked fine over 90% of the time, but once in a while collapsed if my dog rushed up them in some unbalanced way. I didn’t like that. Eventually a kid broke it by walking on it. Kids can’t resist, and this plastic style doesn’t hold up.For this particular item tho, I chose to buy “like new” from Amazon warehouse. I received a dirty item with pet hair and a hairline crack in it. Testing it out I noticed that it collapsed to easily, like my first stairs. I returned it because it was obviously not in “like new” condition. My review is based on the product tho, not the Amazon warehouse experience. I may eventually get something this style again but would only use it for travel. I’m just not a fan of the design for everyday use.The style I’ve liked the best blew my mind, it’s a fabric zipper cover over some kind of cardboard like material inside, but impressively, almost unthinkably strong! It’s crazy. I swear I can stand on it and it would ‘probably’ be fine. It gets climbed on by a two year old and no problems. I got it at Petco but see similarly described items on Amazon. I don’t know what genius figured out how to configure cardboard to support so much weight, but I’m impressed. It’s as light as a pillow too. Look for that! Seriously! Unless you need something to travel with, bc this kind don’t collapse. And last note, if you’re buying stairs for the first time, you will more than likely need to train your dog to use them, regardless of style. It takes treats and patience.

    Bought for pet rats
I bought the little ladder for my rats to be able to leave/enter their double Critter Nation safely and IT IS PERFECT for that. The is the exact height to the bottom of the DCN. And they hop up and down that little with ease ladder carrying their food from their open forage dinners. I love it.

Please buy something better; this product isn’t safe!
Please, folks, if you can afford better made wooden pet steps, buy them. I purchased this very model & it is not safe. It’s too light meaning it easily slides out of place. Further it won’t stay open & collapses while your pet is using it.Caveat emptor: let the buyer beware. Remember that you get exactly what you pay for! If you are shopping for this, it’s obvious that you care about the safety of your pet(s). So this is NOT the product you want.I didn’t purchase this to be stingy. As a senior on social security; I am often stuck choosing between food and basic necessities. My pets are my primary concern.. (Like the needs of children.)If you have a bad back like I do, lightweight products can be a big help. Nearly all of my dogs come from homes where they’ve learned to jump up & down from the floor to the furniture. Being tiny & frail, my chihuahuas are so susceptible to all sorts of orthopedic & spinal injuries, so I trained them to climb and not jump. However, these steps aren’t safe. My dogs are my world which would be shattered if something happened to them, especially if that something was easily preventable.I wish I had saved my money to buy a safer, more sturdy alternative. This item must be kept in place with some kind of stop like a brick. I jammed the legs open after it collapsed while my littlest one was climbing it. Even though he came through with flying colors, I nearly had a coronary!

  8. Crystal Stevenson

    Not work it
It feel apart, after 1 day. Very poor quality. Not as described.

  9. MARTHA
