Stop looking this is the Pet Gate you Want.
I did extensive research on screen doggy doors. I had one for years it lasted until my screen gave out (note if you can, re-screen your sliding glass screen door (or even one of your windows for your kitties that need to come in and out ) with “pet screen” makes all the difference not only with the durability but installation and it will last for years and years and years! As with anything else, this product has evolved over the years and I am very secure in getting this review and I don’t give money trust me I don’t have time to do this but this is important because it’s pet related and it’s the most friendliest most trainable most durable was easiest to install just go on YouTube search for this and Will give you step-by-step’s oh and by the way I installed mine without removing my screen door! I love the fact that this product is not only adorable (usually I want “clean lines” as in do I need a dog print on my screen door? BUT this design gives enough plastic but yet enough screen area that they can see through push their snout/ nose against it and walk through without ripping it it’s a great design it has screws nuts and bolts that strongly secure the door from the outside and the inside you don’t need any glue and it has a magnet at the bottom and a locking mechanism. I chose (as per my pictures) to place mine at the far right against the frame of the sliding glass door because I have a 9 year old 23 pound miniature dachshund who can be a little sloppy getting through the door so I’m not going to have him “jump up into it” this is the perfect fit and I know so because I’ve had it installed for three weeks now and it’s fabulous I absolutely love it! Perfect time for summer because they want to go go out and then they tap on the glass to come in and then they tap on the glass to go out and then they tap on the glass to come and anyone with dogs understand what I’m talking about and also I have two wonderful cats that use the door as well it took them a little longer to figure it out a week or so with coaxing and treats there are training videos on YouTube as well. Let’s just say this is going to save my summer!Main points: replace what kind of screen you have in your sliding glass screen door with “pet screening” it’s very easy to install (do it yourself you don’t need to hire anybody: it’s screen, spline and the tool to put the spline in and of course scissors to cut the screen it’s definitely simple and ridiculously inexpensive! Quickly educate yourself on how to install it like I said YouTube. The doors comes in two sizes I’ll got the small one I have a 23 pound who runs in and out very easily as well as a 22 pound cat; as I said, read the dimensions and how to measure your pet from shoulder to paw before you order. The large one isn’t that much more expensive it installs the same way. I would recommend that large one for up to 20 inches from shoulder to paw. They crouch when they come in. I hope this helped anyone thinking about doing this because it will save your summer and make your pets so much happier!!!

    Sturdy pet door, works great
We have had the type of screen pet doors that snapped onto the screen mesh. They worked, but they were frequently coming loose and had to be snapped back together in places, and the plastic flap acting as a hinge would start to crack over time and needed duct tape to hold it together. I knew they were done when the dogs ran thru the other night and the entire pet door separated and fell apart, leaving just a square hole in the screen. Bought new sliding screen doors and started the search for replacement pet doors. These are a big improvement over the snap on type I had. The plastic frame feels very sturdy. I like that the frame has 14 metal screws & nuts that hold it together. I followed the included directions and found it was easy and quick to install. The door flap has two pegs that you just pop into the respective holes in the frame allowing it to easily swing open and close. I also like that there are two magnets at the bottom of the frame that will help the flap return and stay in the closed position, yet allow it to still be easily opened when needed. And there are two locking tabs that can be slid into place if you need to prevent the door from being used. This is a very well designed pet door and I would definitely recommend it over the snap on type.

    Fits on my screen door
Ease of use for the dogs. Kind of heavy with the hard plastic cover but it works just fine. Looks good too!

    Easy Install and works well!
This dog/cat door works well and is easy to install with instructions. Our Chihuahua and cats love it during the summer to go in and out when they want to get some fresh air and we don’t have to worry about bugs flying in. Takes some training to teach them to come in and out but after they learn it’s great!

    Easy access Screen Dog Door
Wow, perfect as a lanai screen wall Dog Exit Door for your dog or cat. Got Black Medium size for 22 lb dog, more than enough clearance room for him. Once setup, looks like it was installed from Day 1 in the Lanai. Door is heavy hard plastic, with magnet clips on the flaps to catch the door after entry. On each side is a mini slide clips to “lock” at night. More than strong enough to keep out squirrels, small critters. Setup is pretty easy! Comes in 2 Panels with 1 Door. For my setup, I screwed in 1 Panel side into Lanai screen, cut out the “hole”, lightly screwed in Panel 2, slipped the Door between the Panels, then tightened the Panels. Easy! Took less than 15 min. To train your dog, I placed his favorite snack and toy outside the lanai and gently trained him to exit and enter. Easy! I highly recommend!

    Amazing!
I bought this door because my 17 year old dog was having problems holding her poop and pee. We used to just be able to let her out a couple times a day and she would be good, but now if she has to go, she has to go. We took out the swinging door because she’s partially blind and it’s easier for her to stick her nose out and know if the door is open or not. She was 16 when I got this door and she learned how to use it within a month. Yes, we have flies that come in, but it’s better for us than cleaning up poop/pee several times a day. We live in southern Cali, so the weather and bugs are mild. Anyway, it was super easy to install and I love that if I don’t need it one day, I can just replace the screen. It’s not permanent. At night we just close our sliding door and don’t have to worry about anything being unsafe. We love it!

Installed quickly and easily. Only took a few days for my Biewer to get used to it. Great product I wish I had decades ago!! Highly recommended to anyone that gets up to let their dogs in and out (all day long) into their backyards!

…just wish my dog did. My pooch is a bit older and I did wonder if she could learn this. She’s able to come in herself, but not go out. LolBut that doesn’t affect the door itself. For a screen dog door it’s pretty good. Easy to install, and quick. The quality is good compared to the price and so far we’re quite happy with it’s functionality. And being rural the door is lockable, which is good. We have resident critters outside that should stay there. It’s bad enough we get the odd chipmunk scampering in the back door. That’s amusing – not.I recommend this product.

We really needed this. Our dog can now go in and out of the house as she pleases. Install was easy. And it has made a world of difference for us.

The door is a higher quality than the previous one I had. It operates very easily and looks like it will last.
