Light weight
Just as the other reviews state, this is not a heavy duty divider, but it is going to work fine for us. I have another one I picked up 2nd hand and it’s much more substantial. I’ve got this one sitting against a couple of things (wall, piano leg) that stop it from falling over if the dog would mess with it or give it a shove, but since she’s old and laid-back this is going to work out perfectly for us. If you have a rowdy dog or need it for child safety this type of divider is not for you. Best price I could find and arrived in perfect condition. 5 stars – it is exactly what it says it is.

Convenient: Easy to move around from place to place; looks pretty nice; works well
This is a good pet gate for those who need to be able to put it up, take it down and move it around rather than having it be in one specific spot all the time, and for those who may have trouble stepping over a stationary pet gate. This one is easy to move around or to partially fold inward or outward to pass through without moving it entirely. There is no need to install anything so good for those of us who are not terribly handy. It is light enough–you don’t have to be strong to move it around. It looks fairly nice (not fancy but also not messy or odd looking) and has a wooden look rather than plastic, if that matters to you. The drawback is that it falls over easily and that is somewhat annoying (it clatters), but it does work to keep out our cats and small dog (they are all afraid of it). It would not withstand a strong assault, as from a big dog or a determined strong-ish pet, because it is not attached to anything, but you could take steps to stabilize it if that might be an issue for you. Works quite well for me and I would recommend it to anyone whose needs or requirements are similar to mine, but may depend on your needs.

Fit area I needed it for
I use it to keep my cat out of area I don’t want him to go into. It easy for me to move. May not be suitable for an aggressive, active dog, cat, or child. It moves too easily. It works for my older cat who no longer jumps height things. It doesn’t hook to wall, which is fine for me

Very smelly!
Made my dog cough uncontrollably!! Why sell for dogs and have the smell so strong!! Not cool! Buyer beware especially if your animal or child is sensitive. Our dog isn’t sensitive and it really bothered him, caution!

Not a strong barrier but it works well if you are in the same space
This gate is a little flimsy. It works well as a general barrier if you are in the same space to stop your animal, I have dogs, from pushing it over. If I walk away my 10 lb puppy can push it right over. On the other hand my 90 boxer who is about 7 doesn’t really try to push it over but obviously could if he wanted on the other side. Overall its ok for blocking them in the kitchen or office while i’m there cooking or working. And the price is pretty low

When it arrived I thought it didn’t look very sturdy and might easily break over time. In practise it has worked really well and appears to be well made. I havent had any issues with it and it has held up well so far. Only issue is that it is light. So animals if they figure it out can push past it depending on how you have the gate set up.
